I had my diamond platinum engagement ring repaired here when another very reputable jeweler here in Poughkeepsie said it could not be done and wanted to sell me a new setting. I had designed this ring so it was important to rebuild and save it which jewelry Designs did expertly! I was so pleased I had a new wedding band made to nest up against the ring custom made in platinum with my existing diamonds. read more

For my 25th wedding anniversary my husband wanted to get me a special gift. I wanted a ring that was exactly like my wedding band so that I could wear them side-by-side. I thought my wedding band was pretty common and could easily be duplicated, but I was mistaken. After searching extensively and coming up empty, we decided to go to Jewelry Design. It's an amazing place! The staff was wonderful and knowledgeable. They took my wedding band () ... first time it was off my hand in almost 25 years and kept it for a week so that they could make a cast of it to create the new ring. The new ring is virtually identical to the original! I am thrilled with the way the two look together. They did a beautiful job and charged a very fair price. I love Jewelry Design! read more

Jewelry Designs - My two rings side-by-side... a perfect match! - Jewelry Near Me - Danbury, Connecticut

Simply the best staff best service best everything. I've been coming here since they opened and never went anywhere else after that first encounter. Their expertise is beyond compare. Seeing the jewelers work through glass walls is fascinating. The display cases are awesome. One gorgeous piece after another. Whatever you have in mind they will design for you. If you don't like something they will redo it. Interior beautiful with large amethyst rocks and music. They used to hand out carnations but I don't think they do anymore. I loved them but some people I guess just left them. Even if you have nothing to fix or buy stop over! read more

The service was amazing. My custom made wedding band is beautiful, just what I wanted.

The staff was so helpful. My wedding band fell off and was stepped on. I called, spoke to a very nice staff member over the phone and brought it in. I was in and out in 5 minutes with a perfectly repaired ring. I was so stressed and they made the repair so quick and easy. Highly recommend. Thank you so much for your help today Richard. read more

I cannot say enough about Jewelry Designs. They redesigned my wedding ring, using some of my mother's blue sapphires and my diamonds. So beautiful!! And had my mother's gold melted down and made into a bracelet, absolutely gorgeous. The service was GREAT, I loved working with Eniko. Loved her, loved her ideas. Just a great experience all around. I would not go anywhere else. read more

They are honest, phenomenal, creative jewelers. Curt has designed magnificent jewelry for me. Examples--had a very tiny diamond from my moms engagement ring, he made a beautiful piece to put on a chain, added an opal to my existing wedding band, designed a pink gold sand dollar...I can go on and on! Jewelry Designs is thee place to go! read more

I just had the most amazing experience here. I went in to have a ring resized and for an expert opinion on the value of a gold bracelet. I walked out with the knowledge that the ring couldn't be resized without affecting the look of it and a completely new looking bracelet after it was cleaned for me (and advice on not to sell the bracelet). She didn't charge me anything and was so nice. No hard selling of any kind - just a super nice and knowledgeable person. I will totally go back here when I need any jewelry! Thank you for such a great experience! read more

My husband and I picked out my engagement ring here, and we always tell people about our great experience. Before we went to the store, my husband had set a budget for the ring and researched diamonds so he could be specific about what he wanted and hopefully get a good deal. When we walked into Jewelry Designs, one of the first things we were asked was what we wanted. My husband launched into a spiel about the clarity and color he wanted, etc., spouting off industry terms. The sales person very nicely told him that he would be wasting his money on some of those characteristics as the diamond he described, while technically better, would not be distinguishable from a less expensive stone with the naked eye. The sales guy (I believe his name was Tim, so I will call him that) then showed us several loose diamonds to illustrate the point. Under the jeweler's lens, we could see some differences in the stone quality, but as he promised, we couldn't distinguish the more from less expensive on our own. Thanks to Tim's advice, we ended up picking out a larger stone than we thought we could afford. We selected a setting separately. Tim was very patient while I tried on setting after setting. I chose a relatively simple six-prong solitaire setting with platinum prongs and a white-gold band. Jewelry Designs had us return about 48 hours later to pick up the finished and sized ring. We were both really impressed with how large the stone looked in the setting relative to how it had looked loose. The ring fit perfectly, and in the five years I have owned it, it has remained beautiful. The rhodium plating on the white gold band has faded somewhat, as is to be expected, but really not bad considering I wear the ring every day. I don't buy a lot of diamond rings (ha!), but based on what I've seen elsewhere, I also think mine was very competitively priced. While it was pretty clear we intended to buy a ring as long as we found what we wanted, I also did not feel at all pressured by Tim to make a quick decision. He was very respectful of our budget and our preferences. I would return to Jewelry Designs in a heartbeat for a significant jewelry purchase. Based on our experience, this is an ethical, customer-service-oriented business that creates beautiful jewelry. read more

Wow! The Diamonds,The Jewelry, The Handmade, custom designed pieces...So Exquisite So Beautiful My My My this place is so impressive. Maria took care of us like no one else could have here. She had excellent customer service skills, friendly, knowledgeable, & encouraged cleaning on all of my jewelry. She put in 3 Watch batteries & polished everything even better than the day it was store bought! All that at no charge !! We are a part of the customer loyalty program. And will remain this way until the day God calls on me!! JD's is an experience you will not have at your local Mall or Chinatown jewlery Store. Especially seeing that Maria only works at JD's ! Lol when walking in you will see all jewelers hard at work fixing older pieces or just making new ones that were designed wether through the internet or right here in person. The way things are done here Are out in the open, usually a jeweler does everything behind the scenes & you don't know whether you can put your trust in that person. That's the difference w/ JD's it's windows are made to experience it together Husband, significant Other, & Jeweler. I love it here read more

The worth or any company is not when things are going well, but rather how they deal with problems between them and their customers. I was so impressed with how Jewerly Design dealt with an issue we had. They resolved the problem with both fairness and compassion. A pleasure doing business with such a reputable company. Thanks. I was amazed by this place the second I walked in the door. Immediately you can look into each designers work station and see each part of the process. I brought two rings here to be resized as it was recently passed down to me. The first ring came out perfect, exactly what I wanted. The other ring was far too big, maybe just an initial sizing error. Anyway, I returned over a week later, explained my situation, and they were happy to help me then and there, free of charge. They immediately resized my ring right then and there. All in all I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. I highly recommend this place and I will be a returning customer. read more

Just like a mom & pop place with one on one service. Came here on a recommendation from a coworker who purchased rings and diamonds here. Staff was knowledge and honest. We ended up getting my wedding band here and it came out just as they said it would. Clean fitting, looking and the exact style we spoke about. I was a little hesitant with the sizing they work me through the process and ended up fitting just right. I would definitely come back to this place to purchase additional jewelry in the future. They even get flowers to the women as they walk and that's classy service. Don't forget to check out the entrance vestibule, it's pretty sweet looking. Also as you walk in you could see them making a pen jewelry right through the glass window that's really cool. None of this backroom stuff where they might pull the switch on you this is real. read more

I am not someone who shops for jewelry very often, so when I do I feel somewhat lost. I had a ring that needed to be fixed, so I went to Jewelry Designs because it always seemed a nice place and it had good reviews on Yelp. I was greeted by Dave, who listened as I explained my situation, and he was more than able to assist me. As Dave looked at my ring, I was offered a flower to bring home to my wife by another associate. I have since gotten my ring back and they did a great job with it. The store is clean, they have a good product selection, and their prices are great. All the customers I spoke with while I was there seemed very happy. It was just a great overall experience dealing with Jewelry Designs and Dave. read more

SO incredibly pleased with my engagement ring and wedding bands. My fiance and I went here to buy my engagement ring and ended up "designing" one that was similar to one I had seen on line. We gave Courtney a budget and she was able to get us exactly what I wanted. We also had the wedding band created based on one I had seen and it came out so beautifully. Courtney spent the time to show us a variety of diamonds in both clarity variations and size variations so that we could see the differences. We never felt pressured to go over our budget and the pricing was definitely comparable to what I had seen in other places. Courtney communicated with us constantly to let us know when we could pick up the rings and how long everything would take. My rings are absolutely gorgeous and I would highly recommend this place. The service, honesty, and workmanship is outstanding! read more

Amazing experience! My fiancee and I were treated so well by Danielle and everyone in the store. I picked a few settings I liked and Danielle helped my fiancee design my setting and helped him choose a beautiful stone. We were able to get custom bands made for it as well the whole set turned out gorgeous! Fair pricing and amazing quality! Everyone complements it I even had a girl ask me to take a picture of it calling it the perfect ring! They will clean it for you anytime you stop in even rhodium plated it just before my wedding day when I went in for a cleaning while I waited! I cant say enough good things! Went in to get my ring cleaned and the SA who waited on me hustled me out so fast after he brought my ring back out it made my head spin. I am used to friendly, chatty SAs whenever I visit here, but for this visit, nothing of the sort. Just, hi, how can we help you-here's your ring-ok bye. Nobody wants to visit a fine jewelry store and made to feel like some sort of pest or something, but, that's exactly how I felt when I visited this store on Wednesday. Congrats, folks. read more

After wearing a loose engagement ring for a few months as I was nervous to leave my ring anywhere, I visited Jewelry Designs at the recommendation of a friend. I was immediately greeted by a staff member who was very knowledgeable about the procedures for re-sizing my ring. I was beginning my search for an engagement ring for my then girlfriend (luckily, she said yes and now is my wife), and I was referred to Jewelry Designs by one of my co-workers. I was so glad to find a place like this. I ended up working with Kurt and he helped me with all the decisions in selecting the diamond, setting, band, insurance...everything. My wife LOVED the ring! The service is always impeccable (my wife and I later purchased our wedding bands from here) and I have referred many friends to Jewelry Designs ever since. You know that they are there to help and make sure you are as happy with your purchase as possible. read more

To those who read my recent review, I have news. Within a day or so I received a message on my phone from Kurt at Jewelry Designs. I was shocked and a bit anxious. He said he would like to speak with me. It took me a while to work up the courage to call, after all he could be angry about my not satisfied review. Boy was I wrong! Not only did he laugh when I told him I was nervous about calling, because he might be upset about the review, but he was gracious enough to offer to apologize for the mistakes made by his employee 11 years ago! And if that wasn't enough, he was also kind enough to refund me the original amount we paid for my ring, minus the tax. Amazing! So we sheepishly came in and were immediately given 2 lovely carnations. An employee fetched Kurt from his office and he was very warm and friendly. He easily took care of the situation the way it should have been handled years ago. He noted that the employee who worked with us was no longer there, implying that it was due to issues such as ours. He confirmed that the former employee should not have told us that there was nothing they could do to fix my dissatisfaction and that they could definitely have made the ring thinner for me. He was understanding that though they could make it thinner it would still be a lot heavier than gold, and that just doesn't work for me personally. (Hey it's not my fault I have tiny baby hands). He had also informed me on the phone that platinum is easily sized up or down approximately 2 sizes because it can be stretched, unlike gold. So he had them take my husbands ring to be stretched, while he completed the refund. In minutes they had sized my husband's ring perfectly and is now able to wear it again. We are so happy. It doesn't surprise me that they have expanded, as it turns out they truly care about their customers happiness, even after 11 whole years. Like the raw materials they turn into meaningful gifts, they turned a bitter memory into a positive one, and that truly is magical. Again, many thanks to you, Kurt and Jewelry designs. read more

I was able to custom design my engagement ring and it came out beautifully! Great service. They really do care about their customers!

I've had such great experiences at Jewelry Designs! The staff is so friendly and the jewelry is top quality! I went here looking for an engagement ring for my girlfriend and was able to get one on one service from one of their many great employees. After viewing many different settings and stones and comparing them to what I had in mind, we were able to pick out a few of the ones they had on display and they were able to create a totally brand new design that was unique just for my fiancé-to-be. The construction of the ring was speedy and I was always kept in the loop with regards to how far along they were in the process. When I received the call that the ring was ready (which was well ahead of the target date which we set) I went in to pick it up and I was amazed with how beautiful the ring was! Top notch quality! My fiancé gets compliments on the ring all the time and we're constantly asked where the ring is from. We're always quick to let everyone know that it's from Jewelry Designs and that if they are in the market for fine jewelry, to go check them out. This engagement ring was one of my most expensive purchases to date and its great to know that I had Jewelry Designs on my side. Highly recommended and will be returning for all future jewelry purchases my future wife and I will have! read more

Hi out there...I stopped into Jewelry Designs this afternoon (12/28/18) with the intent of purchasing a substancially sized diamond ring. I entered the showroom and was NOT greeted by anybody. My feeling was that all sales reps were busy with other clients, which was fine. I proceeded to view the diamond showcases on my own, thinking that eventually someone would assist, after all there was a gentleman in the glass office directly in front of me and two uninvolved sales reps in the back room. After my being unassisted for approximately 15 minutes, a couple walked in, strolled by and stood off to the side commenting that everyone was busy. 5 - 10 minutes later, my glassed office gentleman entered the showroom, looked at me and proceeded to turn in the opposite direction and ask the couple if he could help them. At that point, I chose to leave the store with the intent of never returning. read more

I never write reviews but...this one is well deserved. I worked with Bre at Jewelry Designs. An amazingly lovely young lady who helped me design a new setting for my engagement ring for my 25 year anniversary. When I arrived to pick up the ring, it was not exactly what I had envisioned. Bre went back to the lab and came up with a new plan. Deconstructed ring and made it anew. It is amazing now and I am in love. The best part is that I was told continually, "we will make it over until you love it". That is pretty impressive...Five stars! read more

Extraordinary shopping experience! My husband and I went in today to rework my 14 year old engagement ring and to get him a new wedding ring. I had some things in mind and had been looking extensively, but really didn't have a clue what I wanted because it ran the gamut from eternity ring to " big bling" - not an easy customer since these are two opposite things. But--- Linette and Kurt were an amazing team! First off: They listened -listened -listened!!! Then they took what I said and each applied their individual knowledge to hone in on what I really wanted. Linette would listen and point out rings, really getting an idea of what I wanted stylistically and patiently pulling out ring after ring. Kurt then applied his vast technical knowledge of settings and gems to meet my needs. Ruling out many of the things I had been thinking about. The two of them were truly extraordinary. Both my husband and I felt listened to, and throughly understood.we feel like we left with our best option. I am thrilled. And, Never once did either of them suggest anything over our budget!! I found this to be very respectful. They clearly know how to treat their customers. The store is beautiful with jewelry makers in front. We had an amazing experience shopping and designing together with Kurt and Linette and this is now a part of our special memory to mark the occasion these rings already represent. My question is: Why would you NOT Go here?!?! Amazing. Thank you jewelry design!! read more

I wanted to get something nice for my girlfriend. After wandering through Danbury Fair Mall's jewelry stores, finding mostly mass-produced glitz, I went to Jewelry Designs and found a gorgeous showroom adjacent to gemologists' offices and designers' workshops. The interior design of the store, having the manufacturing and the sales side-by-side, revealed their commitment to transparency and craftsmanship. You can watch the jewelry being made through large windows that separate the artists from the customers, so you know that it's handcrafted. I was assisted and ended up buying a necklace that my girlfriend loves. Outstanding design, execution, and customer service! read more

My first Ring modification into MARVELISATION! Richard Nyers-and the staff were given several pieces of jewerly from sizing rings to redesigning rings. With each piece time and attention was given to ensure I was happy. One ring in particularl needed Revisions, requiring it to be redone 3 times. At first I thought i was in For trouble but they didn't stop UNTIL THEY GOT IT RIGHT AND I WAS HAPPY. It wasn't because of mistakes ,I think it was just a matter of communication, getting both sides on the same page. I think anywhere else I would have gotten a whole lot of Attitude, but Not at Jewerly Designs!!! Their customer service was very Professional through the whole Process... And they understood better than I did that jewerly Making is a process . Richard walked me through the stages and answered all my questions with detail. Patience and Persistence RESULTED in a GREAT outcome. They made a loyal customer out of me and I will recommend them highly to everyone. I went to Jewelry Designs because I kept hearing great things about it and needed to check it out for myself. Not only is it a truly unique layout inside where you get to see the craftsmanship in action, but you are always greeted with a smile, an offer for coffee or water, and most importantly a flower for the women. Buying jewelry can be overwhelming and intimidating, especially when you are not knowledgeable, but the staff at Jewelry Designs puts those feelings to rest right away. They answer any and all questions you may have and they never put any pressure on you to buy when you aren't ready. I moved to Massachusetts a few years ago and they are still my go to jeweler. The icing on the cake has to be that they will literally design any piece of jewelry you have in mind, whether it is an idea in your mind, or a picture you printed up. I have gone to them for my wife's engagement ring, our wedding rings, to modernize a family heirloom, and even brought 3 of my friends down from MA to get engagement rings as well. Each occasion has been well worth the drive down. If a person is worthy of the gift of jewelry, they are worth the time to go to Jewelry Designs to get EXACTLY what you are looking for or want to design. read more
