My fiancé and I came in today to look for his wedding ring. We were immediately met with rudeness from the blonde woman working behind the counter. Before speaking with us, she was already being short and dismissive with an older gentleman who was simply trying to adjust the time on a watch he had just purchased there. When it was our turn, she spoke to us in the same unhelpful and condescending manner. We left without buying anything. Customer service like that is unacceptable--especially in a jewelry store where professionalism should be the standard. My wife and I have been customers of Jewlers Loupe since they were in the Dover Mall; so, many years. I wnt in this week to have two rings sized. The lady; who I've never dealt with before, looked at me as if I really didn't belong in their store; very snooty. I explained what I needed, which was to have two rings sized half a size up. I tried to make small talk and commented on how pretty I thought these rings were. She looked at me as if I were beneath her, and didn't even respond. She gave me the price which I thought was higher than I remember, so I commented on it. She was very rude, and asked me if I just wanted ring guards. Now, I am not a jewler; however, even I know a ring guard is used when the ring is too big, not too small. I said no, do the sizing. As a customer, I have a right to question and discuss what I'm paying for. I then asked if she had any ring boxes I could purchases (I brought the tings in in velvet bags). she replied let me see if I have any without our logo. She threw them on the counter, along with my velvet carring bags, and said we don't need these. Horrible customer service; I've never experienced that in all my years dealing with them. Now, I am no Rockefeller, but I am pretty comfortable, and no longer have to work. Just because I wear jeans and t-shirts, and needed a shave, I do not appreciate being viewed as and treated as if I'm beneath you and not up to your snooty standards; I could easily buy a good portion of your store's inventory if I chose to. I wish I could give a quarter of a start. My fiance went into the store to get my engagement ring appraised and was treated horribly. The employer basically insinuated that my fiance had stolen the ring and appeared surprised when he provided the receipt. She treated my ring like it came out of a cracker jack box, leaving it on the counter unattended. Thankfully my ring was not bought at that location. We will never return there again. read more

Very helpful professionals. My sister, legally blind, broke the band of her "talking" wristwatch, and my mission was to get it repaired or replaced. I walked into Jeweler's Loupe, and a pleasant man asked how he could help me. He examined the broken watch band, shook his head and suggested that I buy a new band at Boscov's or Walmart. He said if I came back he'd put it on for me. I took his suggestion, bought what I hoped was the same size band and returned. The man was busy helping other patrons, and a woman approached and asked to assist me. I told her what the man had said. She nodded, took the watch and new band, put on a super-vision headset and went to work. In a few minutes she handed me the watch with its new band installed. I thanked her and asked how much is that. She smiled and shook her head. I asked "What can I give you?" and she said "A smile." I gave her a smile and a thank-you and shook her hand. Stopped in on a Saturday morning and fully expected to drop my watch off to have battery replaced and pick it up later in the day. Much to my surprise it was taken care of immediately. My watch back was on very tight and really required extra elbow grease. The price of $15.00 seemed very reasonable and the service was great. They also had a very nice selection of jewelry.
