Everything is consistently good: the bread, cheese, pepperoni and veggies. I love the squares which are easier to handle than folding slices. Pepperoni is by far the most popular topping. VERY disappointed. I placed an order at 5:57 on a Monday evening. After making two phone calls, it was delivered at 7:25. Unfortunately, the pizza was dry and overcooked. I had requested peppers for my salad, but there were only two included. When I contacted the manager, he was quite rude and unhelpful. He even questioned my integrity by asking, "Are you sure you're not just saying it is burnt to get money back?" I want to clarify that my only request was for credit, as I frequently order from them. I really wanted to like the pizza but I can't. I ordered an 8 corner cheese pizza. $22.02 plus I prepaid online w a tip. The pizza was over cooked. The sauce is basic tomato paste from a can and the cheese was burnt. I do have to say the crust was crunchy but that didn't make up for the lack of flavor or proper cooking of the pizza. First Detroit style pizza I had and it's become our go-to pizza spot. I love the thick crust that's crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside. It's like eating breadsticks topped with Pizza topping. The sauce amount is perfect. It's not dry, yet the toppings aren't falling off. If you're wanting extra flavors they even offer crust seasonings. Whaaaa?! Apart from the pizza, this place offers loaded breadsticks (some are basically just another pizza lol). I like the jalapeño, bacon, cheddar sticks. Their chicken parmesan is solid too. ordered the all meat deep dish extra cook ordered the extra cook to make sure the dough was cooked the peperoni was sparse, the sausage and other meat were diced overcooked pebbles that were hard to eat. almost no sauce next to no cheese the extra cook on the dough paid off as it was the only thing good about the pizza. way too expensive for 8 slices with no sauce or cheese. the extra bake was a risk that didn't pay off in total. I won't go back and see no reason why anyone should bother. not with so many other pizza options around. read more

What can I say about Jet's Pizza. A lot first of all ordering is very easy. I picked up my pizza because they are almost just around the corner from us. So I can't comment on the delivery. We got it home and opened up the box and the pizza looked like it was a picture! And it tasted like a fresh pizza should taste fantastic! First time here and will be my last. We tried to call their number first but got an answering message pointing us to use their online ordering. Being a new Sarasota resident I received a coupon for a free small one topping pizza. So we ordered online as the store suggested and paid for the total order which included 2 calzones and the small pizza. When I went to pick up the order I presented the coupon to get the free pizza and was told by the teenager behind the counter that they couldn't accept it since we'd already paid for the order and that we should've included it when we ordered online. This coupon, which was given to me as a new resident, had NO coupon code on it that could be typed in for the order. I told the teenager with the cheesy mustache I was not happy and would not be returning. He made no attempt to honor the coupon. The calzones were ok and the thin crust pizza was sub par. I have to be honest, I always rate "fast food" pizza places (dominoes, little cesars, etc) for what they are and don't compare them to real restaurants or pizza joints. With that being said, Jets actually has some of the best pizza I have had in Florida. The deep dish (Detroit style) has incredible crust. Butter, flaky and full of flavor. My favorite pizza in town! They use whole milk Mozzarella Cheese on their pizzas which makes a huge difference that that low-fat kind. They have the best Salads of all time! I hate to give a bad review to a place that averages 4 stars, but I don't know when I've opened, not one, but three delivery boxes and found the greasiest pizzas I've ever seen. We had folks visiting and thought we would try Jet. Everyone spent their first few seconds with their pizza dabbing grease off the top of their slice. Donors saw TV news coverage and a facebook post. So various people sent pizzas from Little Caesars, Papa John's, and Jet's. I was in the area of fruitville road today and I decided to try jets , i have heard of them but never tried them before. I am a total pizzaholic and make it a point to try out as many pizza places as I can wherever I go I called and ask what crust styles they had , I was told they had a deep dish which is there main type of pizza , I have never cared for deep dish pizza I'm definitely a thin crust or New York style pizza guy so I asked about the other types of pizza offerings I was told hand tossed and thin crust , I am definitely preferable to thin crust but am always hesitant to order it from chain pizza places as they usually use a pre made frozen dough so I decided to go with hand tossed which in most cases is decently much thinner than deep dish pizza, I get my pizza and it is thick like deep dish but I figure oh well I'll give it a shot . The pizza was fresh and hot and tasted decent ,definitely far from the best pizza I have ever had but certainly not the worst , but there was just way way to much cheese on it, so much that it was making it impossible to pick up the slices without having the cheese stuck to the box and pulling the rest of the cheese off the slice I was trying to pick up and then having to try to pull the cheese off the bottom of the box to put back on the pizza ,it was just really a pain in the ass, so after two slices I just gave up and threw the rest in the trash . I also felt that their prices are a little high $10 plus tax for a small pizza. Maybe this place just ain't my style but there is many local non chain pizza restaurants in Sarasota that do a way better job for the same price or less . My personal list of great pizza in Sarasota is #1 shanners in gulf gate they have the best pizza by far out of anywhere I have been in the USA #2 sorlazanos In gulf gate they got a great tasting New Jersey pizza , and #3 is five star pizza on bee ridge rd , they are by far my favorite franchise/chain pizza restaurant, there main pizza is a hand tossed style not to thick but not to thin and they offer a thin crust that is actually dough made in house not a pre made frozen shell , that is what I usually get and it is . Now back to jets I hate to give a two star rating and I seem to be in the minority as most of the ratings on this place are much higher but it just really didn't do it for me and I think I'm going to stick to my go to pizza places from now on , I always look forward to trying new places but unfortunately I'm usually disappointed. I'm not typically a fan of chain pizza places, but Jet's is great! As others have stated, the deep dish is definitely the way to go here, a true Detroit style. The square pizza is their name to fame, and the corner slices on it are amazing. Something they offer called "Turbo crust" is delicious and highly recommended (butter, garlic, parm). This location on Fruitville Rd. has always been timely, providing good pizza and service. There was only one time I received a slightly under cooked pie (due to numerous toppings and extra sauce), but the manager made it right - no hassle. I recommend Jet's Pizza on Fruitville! read more
