As promised here is my updated review. After my babies (yes my dogs) spent 8 days at Jet Pet Resort I couldn't be any happier. Well I could as I could still be in Mexico but that's a whole other ball of wax. I digress. I will admit that I was having mini panic attacks the night we dropped them off as I have never left Puck & Oberon anywhere that I didn't know 100%. Since our flight was at 6am we had to drop them off at 930pm the evening before which was nice since we got to spend time with the pooches before we left. I Facebook stalked (assertive courting really) Jet Pets page waiting for photos of my dogs to make sure they were OK. It was hard because I had to take in the time difference consideration. I would be courting their page at noon where I was but it was still only 10am. The first set of photos put me at ease and the pet specialist even made a sign for Puck & Ob telling me to enjoy my vacation as they were enjoying theirs. Every day they posted photos of all the dogs & cats in their care and every day I courted their FB page. What made it even sweeter was when we picked them up a week later the pet specialists were sad to see them go and even told them they loved them. Will I be taking my doggies back...oh heck yes!!! Would I recommend JPR...most definitely.

One of rescue dogs needed overnight boarding until his foster was available, so I checked Luke into Jet Pet, keeping my fingers crossed for him. Coming from long term boarding in SoCal, I was worried that a 100 lb American bulldog and pittie cross would be too much for the staff. He is a power chewer, sight impaired, thinks he's a lapdog, and terrible on the leash. They LOVED him! He either pulled the greatest con ever, or they took this slobbery blob of muscle and saw what I saw, a loving lug who just wants to play and get scratchies. He was treated so well! For a kid that came from the streets of San Bernardino, he hit the hotel jackpot. Thank you Jet Pet, thank you for making a rescue dog feel like king of the world.

Your response is worth a zero star rating ... like the services you provide. False??? If I didn't have photos or video prof then perhaps you could "claim" it was false. I have responded to your emails and can post hose too if you like. Nothing false here. I gave you a month to respond and nothing....not once did I hear "we are looking into it" "let me check" or even a simple "sorry to hear".

My dog goes to daycare at Jet Pet almost every day and she usually races to the front door pawing to be let in. By the end of the day she's exhausted and sleeps during the car ride home. Both my dog AND cat have stayed overnight at some point. My dog stayed in a nice big executive suite while my cat stayed in the cat lounge. My cat LOVES this lounge! He struts in, sniffs his friends, then finds a good spot to watch tv. I can login to the web cam while on my trip and see him moving around. Love this place for my pets!

We would definitely do the bath again! Four of the staff members came and gave him good bye hugs when we left and gave him a glowing report card. When we pulled out of the parking lot, he looked back to the building with longing. I don't think he wanted to leave! Thank you to the staff at Jetpet for all the care and attention to our fur baby and making him feel at home. We will definitely be back again! Brinkley sends his hugs and kisses too!

My dog Leo has been going to Jet Pet YVR for over four years now. I use both the daycare and boarding services with 100% trust in the care Leo receives. On three occasions I left him for two week periods while I was on vacation. When I returned, Leo was happy and healthy. I love the daily photo and video updates. I have used two other boarding services and did not return. Jet Pet is #1 for us. The staff at Jet Pet are friendly and helpful. Leo's exuberant response towards all of them tells me what I need to know. I do not hesitate to recommend Jet Pet YVR to friends and family. read more

Shadow sustained six wounds during his stay at Jet Pet Resort from February 10th to February 18th 2018. He was assessed by three veterinarians and was given supplements, shots, and medication for his injuries. Veterinarians described Shadow's more serious wounds as follows: -"2cm long full-thickness laceration upper right thigh" which was also assessed as a "grade III/IV (3/4) bite wound which could develop into an abscess" -"1 cm long close-to-full thickness laceration upper left thigh" -"A deep 2cm scrape over pelvis" -"A large 15cm diameter area of deep bruising on right shoulder". Jet Pet Resort staff members and manager, Fay Egan, were unable to provide information and details on how or when Shadow sustained his injuries. Although, I completely understand that things like this can happen, it is quite concerning when I'm told no one witnessed Shadow sustaining these wounds, and their Pet First Aid-certified staff members were unable to assess the severity of the wound and did not call a vet even though a Veterinary Medical Release form was signed. Although Shadow's boarding service plus daycare visits at Jet Pet Resort have been refunded, our trust has been lost. We were left with unanswered questions and a wounded beloved pet. Shadow is resting a lot and is healing at a steady pace. I hope Shadow's injuries will alert and remind all the pet owners out there to be extra careful and perform thorough body checks on pets prior and after services at any boarding/daycare facility as I do not wish this upon anyone's beloved pet. read more

In search for a new dog boarding, as the one I used previously had left my dog with a week long of bloody diarrhea and an expensive vet bill. It did not take long for their $17/night boarding "promo for 1st time customer" to catch my attention. Immediately I called the staff for details and asked if there is any catch. Apparently they said the have plenty of rooms left in Mid Sept for 7 nights, but first they need me to pay the entire boarding payment in FULL at the booking "in order to secure the booking"?! AND due to the use of the promo, there will be absolutely no refund should I cancel the booking. (huh, what a savy biz?!) Also they have to "Qualify" my dog to see if she is fit for the promo. The staff named Pam, who I think is the biz owner, stated that they cannot qualify my dog; as my dog has never been under their care, they have no way to make sure she is cool and does not have a panic attack or aggressive behavior against other dogs. If during any day of boarding, my dog displays aggressive behavior, the promo will then be voided from then on and we will have to pay the full $45/day boarding fee for the remaining days at pick up. To avoid any sticker shock, Pam suggested to bring our dog in for a 8hrs daycare prior to booking, which is "as little as only $30". Wait a minute, any 1st time customer, of course, will never been under their care isn't it ??!! But consider $30 is not a lot, so I gave it a try anyway. So, when I dropped my dog at 12 noon for daycare, they confirmed there are still plenty of space left in Mid Sept for 7 nights. Great, just the reassurance I need --- BUT JUST WAIT until 5 hrs later they told me that my dog is qualified but they are sorry that there is NO MORE ROOM because all have been booked up in as little as the PAST 5 HOURS since their phone has been ringing nonstop! Just what an excuse! They just sounded so casual as if it is nothing unusual! So to investigate, I had my brother called the very next day as a prospective customer trying to book the same days with the boarding promo. Guess what? they now magically have rooms available! Alright then! They asked for the pet's name, my brother gave them my pet name of course! And guess what, they had the gut to call my brother 30mins later that they "must have looked up the wrong month", sorry actually there is no room available. What a business! O, did I also mentioned my dog came home ever so thirsty after the daycare? It was as if she has not been drinking for days!!! I am not surprised at all if they leave all dogs out to survive in the yard by themselves with no/little water in the afternoon so they will have little or no pee when they return to their cages (rooms) at night. This might just a tip of the iceberg of what another reviewer mentioned "they don't have staff monitor the pets between 11PM and about 6AM.". May be it is luck that my little girl was not staying at this place. T Facts & Conclusions: - I have been to dozen of pet boarding in Richmond but this this is the only place that requires a 100% full payment at the time of booking before they actually deliver the service. - Even though my loss is relatively minor, but this is about a problem in principle, integrity and honesty as a business. They might be able to draw chuck of $ out of some loaded clients who prefer to leave their beloved dogs to dry, but they can only dig the $30 buck out of my white collared pocket on their 1st attempt. There will be absolutely no next time. So there is my experience, so you can make your own judgment call. read more

They had some good deals and were a convenient choice so I was enticed to try them when an emergency business trip came up. I called, and a file was started for my dog. When I told her that he was taking a precautionary med I was told she would need to check to see if the promo of $17/night versus $49 would still apply to me. I got a message back with no details about the rate or booking just before their lines closed at 5PM, assuming I just had to give my cc details as she'd mentioned to reserve the spot. After that (the next day) I couldn't seem to get through and my messages weren't returned promptly so I was getting anxious. It was about 20hours later when I did reach them. This time they couldn't find my file and the original person I spoke to was not there to confirm anything, but they took the info again, told me about the copious paperwork I was to complete & billed my credit card. A few hours later I got another call saying my file was found and that they wouldn't take my dog because I had told them he gasps sometimes and needs water on hand to hydrate. Their reason being they don't have staff monitor the pets between 11PM and about 6AM. So after all the paperwork hassle & having to track them down I was left in the lurch less than 12 hours before my flight. Not a happy camper. read more

**I want to preface this review by saying I am a nervous, obsessive dog owner that basically thinks no one can care for my dog-child like I can, and that I would 110% recommend Jet Pet for all other nervous dog mom or dads out there. My husband and I left our dog at Jet Pet Resort for a five-night stay last week. It was our first time leaving him for that long AND with "strangers" and we were beyond nervous to do so. Arnold is a 1.5 year old Chihuahua mix that is afraid of everything and has not been socialized as much as he should be with other dogs. The initial meeting at Jet Pet put us at ease right away. We opted to board him in a room with webcam access so we could check in on him whenever we felt the urge, which ended up being a great feature. The team at Jet Pet posted pictures of him playing in the dog lounge every day, and were quick to respond to our Facebook comments. They told us he had a nervous first day but from that point on bonded well with other small dogs in the small-dog only lounge (another HUGE plus for anyone owning a 5-pound dog.) When we picked Arnold up he was not as excited to see us as we had anticipated because he had so much fun with the humans and the dogs at Jet Pet. haha. We plan to continue to bring him to Jet Pet for their daycare service because the team is so loving and attentive, and we are SO relieved that we found them so we can start planning our next trip knowing we have a safe, reliable place to board Arnold while we're away! :) read more

Do not bother to even call and enquire about boarding at Jet Pet, unless your dog is perfectly socialized, and has no undesirable behaviors. I feel completely taken advantage of, and purposely mislead by the staff at Jet Pet. I adopted a rescue who has socialization issues. I was honest and upfront about his challenges, and they agreed to board him, with the notion that if proved he could behave and be trusted in the resort, he could stay for Christmas. I spent hundreds of dollars needlessly on stay-overs. Jet Pet gladly took my money for three weekends when they weren't busy, stating my dog was doing well in their facility, and then they cancelled my Christmas reservation 10 days prior to my leaving for the holidays. On his last visit, he had nipped another dog and was no longer welcome. The manager of the facility offered to take my dog to her home over Christmas which seemed kind at the time, but the rate was even higher than that which I was paying at Jet Pet. The manager told me she has two small children at home, and it made no sense to me to take a somewhat nervous and fearful dog to a place with kids. I believe the offer was financially motivated. I couldn't place my dog so close to Christmas, and was forced to cancel my flight and stay home. I will never recommend this facility to a friend, family member, or co-worker. I feel I was cheated, and dealt with in a less than forthright manner. And, judging by some of the other comments on here, I'm not the only one. read more

I've taken my dog to several dog hotels in the lower mainland, and Jet Pet is my favourite. Professional, clean, and friendly. I have an older pug that I worry about boarding... but I can leave her here without fretting too much. Safety is a big concern for me, which is why I appreciate that they separate the big dogs/small dogs and they each have separate hotel rooms at night. The pictures of they post of each dog everyday (multiple shots on some days!) also eases my mind when I'm on vacation. I've dealt with a few of their staff members and they have all been friendly and helpful. Most recently, I dealt with Mike, who was really great at helping me sort out booking dates for my vacation (Thanks Mike!). Jet pet is a great place to leave your pet without worry! Will definitely be bringing my dog back here again. read more

If I had a dog, I feel like I'd be giving these guys a 5. But I have cats, and their regular kennel was full for the holidays, and this seemed like the best option - close to the airport, great hours, prices... well, holidays, so not such great prices. And the cats get private rooms, so I thought that seemed the best. I didn't realize how heavily geared this place is for dogs, though. Walking in, I was hit with the smell of dog. Multiple really cool dog play areas. Looks like the best place to send a social dog, ever! But the cats' room was right across from some huge barking dogs, and while their room was spacious compared to a usual kitty-kennel (about 4'x4', with a cat tree and a window), the window looked down on... all the dogs. Which some cats might be OK with, but mine were fairly traumatised. Most cats aren't really used to leaving their home, let alone being faced with the horrible existence of creatures that aren't them, so it's not the best environment for a sheltered house-cat. I'd say it's probably not the most ideal place to put cats, but they do get some personal space, their own tree to climb, and they post pictures daily on facebook, so you can see how they're doing. They send you a little report card at the end of the stay to let you know that they were recieving some personal attention. In my ideal world, they'd have a separate area for cats where they don't hear/smell the dogs, but at the end of the day, my cats were fed and cared for while I was away. If I had a dog, yeah, I'd bring them here in a heartbeat. Really friendly staff, and when I returned to pick up my cats late at night, the dog smell was replaced with lots of cleaning product smell, so I feel like they have a good handle on the sanitation aspect. read more

As we were shopping for a new place to board our guy, the staff went into pure price gouging mode. Based on the comments below and Jet Pet's Cam. D's response to the comments below, it is evident the business is not conducting their services in a moral and ethically pleasing regard. I will not go near this place, and I recommend if you want to have a happy, stress-free experience, avoid this puppy farm at all cost. read more

We just picked up Brinkley from Jetpet after a twelve day stay. During his stay, we were able to watch him in his room on an app except for the last few days where he was upgraded to a luxury suite due to renovations. We could see how eager he was in the first few days to get out with the general population and then over the course of the week we saw how tired he was from playing with all his new buddies. They posted pictures of him on Facebook daily and we knew we left him in a good place when we saw his smiley mug every day. On the day we picked him up, we had them bathe and brush him before he came home. He smelled so good and was very fluffy...I imagine much better than he did after playing with all his new friends. We would definitely do the bath again! Four of the staff members came and gave him good bye hugs when we left and gave him a glowing report card. They told us he was often the "centre of attention"...Lol! I forgot to mention that Brinkley is a one year old intact golden retriever full of energy! When we pulled out of the parking lot, he looked back to the building with longing. I don't think he wanted to leave! Thank you to the staff at Jetpet for all the care and attention to our fur baby and making him feel at home. We will definitely be back again! Brinkley sends his hugs and kisses too! read more

Awesome place. Pretty much the only place I would trust to take care of my babies. No kennels, dogs get their own little room looking out on to the play area. They're out during the day, either inside or outside to socialize and play with each other. Small and large dogs are kept apart. They post pictures on their facebook page every day to show you that your babies are happy and safe. Definitely will recommend, and will continue to. Certainly not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for, and I'm willing to pay more to know my dogs are happy, comfortable, and socializing :) read more

It's been a long summer and I don't think I would have made it if I couldn't book Griffon into JetPet. Usually friends can take your dog, but sometimes people get tired of babysitting, and since Griffon is a 100 pound Ridgeback (his nickname is Horsey) LOL, its a lot of devouring raw chicken etc on his raw diet. He's a very well behaved dog but is a lot of work.... I was first drawn to JPet because they have a first time special and they are right on the way to the airport. I was able to register online, super convenient feature. One thing I noticed right away is - NO stinky pet smell! Haha, sometimes you expect that doggy smell like a pound, but there was none, very clean. Each dog gets their own room, my dog is big so he needed the executive vs the smaller classics. They have an indoor and outdoor play area, Griffon was outside a lot (summer) and they have a sprinkler hose thing to keep the dogs cool. They asked me exactly what to feed him and how much, which is great, must be a lot of work preparing each dogs meal but they do it. I drop him off with his frozen raw packages. Rabbit is his fav. The staff were nice, funny, I am sure they change over time. You have to keep your shots up to date, ugh, they need a bunch of shots so make sure you look at the list and get their shots done.. I do mine because Griffon plays in the dog parks (the river etc) and sometimes other dogs like to bite, better safe then sorry. Hmm what else, they also accept Kitties, I don't have one anymore but I have owned about 12 total. Abyssinian is my chosen breed. We used to take them to Cats Only but it looks nicer here. You can get other stuff like grooming etc but I didn't need it, hes a short hair. I did get them to walk him every day, he needs that. Hes huge but he doesn't yank you around and obey's orders very well. They get you to put a list of commands they can use on your entry form - sit, stay, NO LOL. Bad Griffon! Now that he is used to Jetpet he seems to like it better then home :( I guess he likes the constant entertainment and attention vs sitting on his daybed till its walk time. Overall a very good service, clean, safe, fun, they feed him exactly what I want, give him his own room, variety of spaces. For short afternoon fun I take em to Doggy UFC (see my other reviews) for overnights its Jetpet. read more

I will never use Jet Pet Resort again.... I took my 70 pound, 3 year old yellow lab to Jet Pet Resort for 3 days of kennelling while on a short romantic trip to San Fran with my spouse. On my 1st day in San Fran I received a call from the manager at Jet Pet; my lab was mounting other dogs and was becoming a nuisance. The manager said if he did not stop they would have to charge me $25 a day for personal walks. I was shocked and in disbelief that my dog would behave this way. My lab is submissive and has been well socialized; I have never seen him mount another dog. I asked Jet Pet to take a picture or send me a video of my lab doing this, but her response was "we don't do that". I felt my hands were tied and this was a money grab. My trip had been ruined; my peace of mind was lost and the disbelief and thought of my dog behaving badly did not sit well with me during the rest of my trip. Upon picking up my lab from Jet Pet, I was only charged an additional $25 for 1 day of personal walking as his behavior improved for the rest of his stay. For a 3 day stay for my lab at Jet Pet it totalled $225. Buyer beware...Jet Pet requires 50% payment up front for bookings. When I read the other reviews, I now believe they have questionable business tactics of obtaining additional money from their clients. My lab did not mount other dogs, Jet Pet was trying to squeeze more money out of me. read more

I was nervous about leaving my 2 rescue dogs for a week, because I thought it might be similar to staying in a shelter and they might get stressed. But it was the opposite! My dogs were very happy - I could see it in the pictures they posted daily (even over the holiday season). They had a room together and enjoyed playing in the common area with dogs of their size and staff. With the NEW ownership as of July 2014, there are trained vet techs on staff which I thought was beneficial in case there was a problem. I was able to call in to make sure there were no issues too (just nervous leaving them). I would definitely come back! read more

My first impression of Jet Pet was a positive experience. They seemed very organized, friendly and genuinely cared about the safety of my dog and the other dogs boarding in their hotel. They put me at ease and the photos I found online of the individual rooms the dogs stay in looked comfortable- just like a hotel room would. The introductory price also seemed reasonable so I decided to try it for a couple of nights while I went on vacation. I liked the idea that they post photos on their Facebook page of the dogs so you can check in on them. However, I was disappointed when I saw the room my dog was in. Maybe it was my fault for not doing a tour first, but it looked nothing like the photos I found for the resort. I was expecting my dog to stay in a comfortable room and it looked pretty much like a kennel, which is the opposite of what I thought a dog "hotel" was supposed to be. My dog even seemed a bit unhappy in the photos, but I figured maybe he was just missing home. When I picked him up, however, I was second-guessing my choice in putting him at this resort. First, I called them a few hours prior, letting them know the time I would pick him up and also that I wanted to add on a small spa service to my bill. When I arrived, they handed me the bill to sign for his service, but they had not even given him the service when I inquired about it. So I had to wait there while they took him to the back to do it. Second, as I was waiting, all I could hear was some poor dog in a room scratching on the door and barking to get out. I also looked at the cameras of the outside area and saw a bunch of dogs unsupervised. In fact, it appeared there was only maybe 2 staff members working in a huge hotel. Once again, maybe my expectations were higher than they should be, but I chose a dog hotel over a kennel because I wanted the extra care for my dog. Lastly, what really upset me about the experience was that my dog smelled like piss and the carrier with his blanket that I left with them to put in his hotel room also reaked like dry piss. Not sure how often they were taking him out, but either way, the smell was something you would notice and at least try to clean up. He also seemed pretty stressed out when I picked him up, although it is hard to tell if that was just because he was anxious to go home. I will say that the staff were very friendly and my initial impression was great, but I think if I ever leave my dog in someone else's care, I will be trying a new dog hotel and making sure I take a tour first. read more

Very unfriendly took my dog here and receptionist was rude on the phone when I asked questions. Brought the dog here and was so picky about what time it was I had to come down to view the place had to call before and when I did was instructed couldn't come at the time I wanted. Not a inviting place to do business. Wasnt very clean had pee on the floor and not cleaned up enough for a resort. They pre screen dogs and don't want any aggressive dogs but my friend has a lovely nice large breed dog that they didnt allow to stay because he was too big ?!!! Seems like they were more scared of him than anything when he was friendly. I won't stay here again with that condescending phone attitude this place should let the public come look at the facility there dog or cat will be staying at when the customer wants and learn better phone manners as they are very rude when you ask questions. read more

I visited this location and was enticed by the $27 per night for first time customers. When I arrived to check the place out, the place looks great but found frustration in the way they planned to charge us. We were told that there was a long weekend at the beginning of this 2 week period of time that we'd be away so we would have to pay $49 per night for the first 5 nights because of the long weekend...because apparently the Canada Day long weekend to them isn't just the Saturday, Sunday and the holiday Monday but it is actually considered FIVE DAYS by these guys and planned to charge a $49 premium for all FIVE days. This irked me but what really made me decide not to use them was that they then told me that we also wouldn't qualify for the $27 introductory offer because the long weekend costs come before the regular week of costs therefore we would not be considered a new customer. Sorry but I don't like the old bait and switch tactics... read more

This was late 2014.The staff (as far as I could tell from my phone calls) was attentive and took good care of her. If I'd left a review then, it would have been four stars. The second visit was not good (this year). I was happy to leave our cat with Jet Pet Resort a second time because the first time had gone well, and I was happy that they'd also made a webcam available so you can see what your pet it up to while you're away. When I called, the staff I spoke to never seemed to have a handle on what was going on. I would have to repeat the cat's name several times and they still never got it right. The first time I called to see how she was getting along, the person I spoke with did not know the cat was female, and did not know her name. This was really concerning to me as they have you fill out a very detailed form, and yet it seemed no one had even looked at it. If you're taking care of an animal you should know its name and sex - that's just basic to me. If she'd had an emergency and needed to go to the vet, who knows what confusion could have happened? When I called, I specifically asked the staff if she was eating and using the litter box. They told me yes. When we picked her up, she was noticeably underweight (by at least a pound) and severely constipated. This is something staff should have noticed. There's only so much you can do for a stressed animal but I feel they could have informed me, and I could have made the call as to whether she needed the vet, or advised them on what we'd do at home. I don't think they were operating maliciously, I just really get the sense they are not as good with cats as they are with dogs. I will not be bringing our cat back to stay at Jet Pet Resort. It seems like a great place for dogs but if you are a cat owner I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for boarding. Their location is convenient but it's not worth the health of your pet. read more

Careful when thinking of using these people. They have a full 7 day cancellation policy and will charge you for the full stay if you have to cancel within the 7 day period without a refund. If they happen to be in a good mood they will give you a credit for another stay after a $50 admin fee. 7 days is extreme for people who have to travel for work and have dates change. Use another place that is more flexible with customers and are interested in having repeat business. read more

Luxury pet resort? I think not. Put your dog in a room and take it out for pee breaks a couple of times is more like it. Cats were when I was there housed in communals and expected to get along with other cats, eek! Staff don't know anything about animal behaviour from speaking with them. Good pet boarding is far and few between in the Lower Mainland but this is definitely not it. read more

I absolutely loved it! My dog came back so joyful, he loved all of the workers!! He was greatly taken cared of and so was I, they answered all of my questions and worries and made me feel safe to leave by dog to them. read more

I left my dog here for three weeks. I dropped her after a clean shower. When I picked her up she had yellow pee stains all over her white coat. She reeked of urine to the extent that I had to roll the window down for the entire car ride home. The discharge from her eyes were big black balls that had solidified. This isn't the first time I leave my dog at a boarding felicity but this is the first time that I find her in this horrible and unacceptable condition. I did call to extend her stay while I was away on vacation and I asked about her and no one cared to update me and ask me if they should give her a shower. This means my dog was not in a clean facility and she was not cared for. She shouldn't have any urine stains on her to begin with. read more

I called these guys up a few weeks ago and inquired about their facility and rates. The girl on the phone was pretty helpful and provided me with all the info I needed. I was going away for two weeks and was a little apprehensive about leaving "Roman" with anyone other than my close friends, that had watched him before. So with food in hand along with his big ol' pillow, I dropped him off at the"Resort" which is only 3 minutes from YVR.I used the "First timer" $27.00 rate for the first week and was charged $37.00 for week two. These are not your basic kennel rates. But then again, this place is NOT your basic kennel. During my time in Mexico I checked in on their Facebook page and saw a few new pictures of him every couple of days. All was good. I got back sunburned and beat and showed up a couple hours later than expected. No problem. There he was, hanging out in their courtyard playing with a gang of others having some good times it appeared. There was another girl at the front who was pretty friendly as well. She mentioned to me that the manager had decided to throw in a comp bath/blowdry and clipping as I was a first timer and my two week booking was considered an extended stay. Nice touch. ! ! Roman look great and refreshed. Wish I could have said the same the same for myself. Who was on vacation anyways ? Thx JPR read more

NIce place. Clean. Friendly staff. But, my dog lept for the water bowl upon arriving home after a 15 minute drive and drank and drank and drank. She was absolutely parched. It would seem that they restrict water, probably to reduce urination. My 2 star rating would be one star if not for the positives. My dog will not be returning to that kennel. read more

My dog's been mostly with myself or my boyfriend at all times. Having to go to Mexico for a week gave me a panic attack as I was really worried about my baby, since we are fairly new to Vancouver and had no one to watch him. Dash is a super energetic dog, and being able to play with other dogs made him so happy! When my boyfriend picked him up, he could tell he was happy and having fun. I also called them a few times while on vacation, and checked their Facebook to see pictures of Dash nightly. They were extremely nice and I felt very welcome to call - not like the crazy doggy mommy I feel like I am some times. :) Whenever I called, I could tell every one I talked to, was a dog lover and cared for Dash. I was able to actually enjoy my vacation thanks to Jet Pet Resort! Thank you guys so much! read more

I had my dog stay with Jet Pet recently and non the less I was very disappointed, the workers were rude and seemed to know little about my dog in general on pick up date! I found the Irish manager very rude and very defensive when asking her questions about my dog, then Leanne the Receptionist is very clueless when it comes to help and questions concerning my dog as she didn't even know who my poor baby was! Overall very unsatisfactory service from this so called Luxury Resort! My baby also came back very stinky and I feel so bad for her because who knows how long she had to be stinky for! read more

Sophie, our Maltipoo, can be particular about most things... and so we looked long and hard about a place where she would feel (at least "OK" about) being left behind. Someone recommended "Jet Pet" which originally sounded like a mass boarding kennel which I wouldn't even consider. I was wrong. The staff was super friendly and welcoming to Sophie, and while I will admit to feeling anxiety about leaving her, it was in fact for only 2 days. She walked off with one of the staff, tail wagging and didn't even look back. We returned to find Sophie very relaxed, tail wagging and actually didn't appear to really have missed us much at all. It's a very clean facility, with different levels of sleeping arrangements, and great staff. I like that you can look into one of the "play rooms" for small dogs from the outside of the building... I still don't like leaving Sophie, but when I have to, this is definitely The Place. read more

If i could give this resort no stars if i would!! I will never bring my dog thier ever again!! Not only did my dog not eat there he didnt drink any water. He was so sick looking when i picked him up. His coat was so dirty and wet. I pay high prices for this type of service! He was sitting in his "room" with lights off at 2!. :S The times i have visited this resort i have never seen the workers playing with dogs, they are always in rooms with lights off, and the worker is cleaning. Seems like they care more about the looks of the palce than the dogs :(. Heads up people avoid this place! read more

BEWARE!! They do not understand dog behaviour nor do they know how to handle dogs in general. They don't control the dogs in their care and only want to take in passive dogs that will not react to the badly behaved dogs they have already taken in. They make no effort to curb bad behaviour and just expect the dogs to deal with each other no matter how badly behaved some are. Their dog to dog introduction is terrible and sets dogs up for failure. They need to take a course with Cesar Millan. I needed a daycare in Richmond for my pup to socialize and play a couple times a week while im at work. He has been going on off leash group hikes with a dog walker for months but they wouldn't pick up in Richmond and i had moved. Jet Pet sounded great, fun for the dog and affordable. Setting up an appointment was a total pain. They kept calling me back about various issues with my application. Finally i was able to get him in on a "trial" basis. When i got there they said they would take him and see how he does in a pen with a couple other dogs. I wasn't worried because he's the friendliest dog i know. I watched on the monitor as they took him in. Right away i saw warning signs! They had him on leash against a wall with another dog barking at him incessantly! Who would handle that well?! Even I knew the proper way of introducing would be to confidently walk right in and keep going. He looked very unsure and was nervous. Any dog would react this was when cornered. I couldn't believe they just allowed this dog to continue to bark at my dog and not control the situation. They finally took him off the leash and then off camera they said there was an issue. He snarled at this dog that had been harassing him. Well of course he did, this dogs energy was through the roof and he was totally obnoxious and in his face. They said they couldn't trust him and he couldn't stay. They never even gave him a fair chance. After I saw how they handled the dogs I knew this was not a place I trusted. They clearly did not know what they were doing. Even their facility is more to impress people not dogs. And the "manager" looked like a Vancouver house wife playing business. She thought she knew everything about dogs but clearly didn't have a clue. I don't think she's even handled any of the dogs in the facility. read more

Needed a last minute dog boarding for the weekend and I selected Jet Pet Resort for a few reasons: * Generally had good reviews (had 8 reviews which was more than any other location) * Better Business Bureau review - they are not a member but did attempt to correct the issue that was logged * Facility looked good * Professional website. * Location - They are 10 minutes away * Convenient hours - Pick up as late as 10PM * Price $27 for 1st timers - Read the price details as it may be a little hard to understand without reading it. Anyway, the price was not my concern, finding a good business was, without asking the price I ended up paying was $47 per night, which is the price listed on the site. They also asked me the right questions (Vaccinations, habits, Aggression, Diets etc.) instructed me to bring his plenty of his own food to avoid diarrhea, all this gave me the impression that they were a good company. during his stay we called several times and no problems were reported, dog was doing very well, Poo and pees were normal and he was happy and playing etc. I was informed to look on their Facebook page and there were a few pictures posted. Up until then all our calls and communications were answered very professional and we were pleased. Here is where it goes wrong: 1) Our family member picked up the dog and noticed that the dog was shaking When asked about the shaking, the attendant informed her that the dog had a busy day and must have been tired. 2) The attendant also informed her that the dog had scratched the room he was in and that if we wanted to use the their services in the future we may have to pay more. None of their concerns were mentioned during our calls in the previous days 3) The dog smelled like pee The dog was dropped off at our house and when we noticed that he was walking VERY slow, slightly limping and didn't have much energy which is very unusual. He sat down a lot and was reluctant to climb stairs. This morning I took him for a walk and noticed that he was still walking very slow and not interested in playing (usually when I run, he runs with me). I called Jet pet and left a voice message, that call did not get returned and I had to call them back. In regards to the scratching, when asked when this was not mentioned before I was explained that this was not observed until the last day and that probably it was a bad idea that we left the dog for the long weekend without an initial daycare visit. I am not sure what to make out of that but now I am thinking that the feedback we were given (dog is happy and doing well) was what they thought the owner wants to hear when calling in. In regards to why he smelled like pee: it was explained that there were many other dogs but I cannot imagine that the dogs would be peeing on each other? The attendant said that that is why they have service options available to ensure the dog goes home clean. My opinion is that if there is a dog that is peeing on other dogs that that dog should be separated, or of there is urine on the floor that the staff would clean it up before other dogs walk through it? Even from a business point of view, if the dog smells like urine, rather than giving the dog back smelling like that it would be better for the business to wash the dog rather then sending the dog home smelling like pee. All that work the company did in regards to providing top notch service just went down the drain. Now my biggest concern was why he was shaking and limping, lethargic and walking slow: Here it was explained that the dog was very active and may have over exhausted himself on the last day of his stay. To me that just doesn't add up, if a dog is over exhausted should the staff not be observing that and correct that? I place the dog in a kennel for a while but I cannot imagine that the dog would left as is and over exhaust himself I just don't buy it. We brought him to the vet and he believed that the dog may have fallen from something or he may have been injured by bigger dogs. Diagnosis was "Hunched back. Sensitive on palpation in mid lumbar area. This afternoon (before giving any meds) the dog had diarrhea twice. Injury to soft tissue surrounding spine". He is now on medication to reduce inflammation and we will see how that goes. I don't know what happened and neither does Jet Pet. My main issue is that Jet pet could not explain why he smelled like pee, nor could they explain his shaking nor were they aware that he was lethargic and slow moving. If my sister in law was able to see that the dog was not himself, why can't experienced dog caretakers not see that something was wrong? Perhaps all this did indeed happen on the last day but I have a hard time believing that. I will follow the vets advise and observe his behavior over the next few days. read more

I was planning to leave my 2 cats at Jet Pet resort for 10 nights. I had them both vaccinated for Feline Leukeamia (about $80 for both) as on their website it states it was a mandatory requirement. When I went to look round I was told it's not mandatory. I purchased flee treatment for them both (I don't regularly treat them as the are indoor cats) never once was I asked about the flee treatment schedule. I had a look round the facility the cat area upstairs was fine but the dog area downstairs was very noisy and very smelly. I didn't see any toys in the dog areas,in fact most of the dogs were stood in the windows barking to be let out. In the cat lounge there were a couple of scratching post and about 3 random toys on the floor. I was planning on leaving my cats in the cat lounge at a cost of $25 per night, I misread the website believing that the second cat would be 50% off. When I phoned to book them in the receptionist took my credit card details, I asked her for the total price and she said "I can't give you that right now"!!! I persisted in asking for the amount that was going to be charged to my credit card and it was $603. This is when I found out about me misreading the website, but how does $25x2 catsx10 nights become $603. Well $603 includes taxes at 12% ($60) and fees. I couldn't get answer to what the other $43 fees were for. The 50% discount is only if you book the private suites starting at $54 per night. However if you book these suites they do not put cats together from differently families so shouldn't the prices be for the room not for the each cat? As all they do with the cats is feed them, no walking/bathing etc .. I would seriously recommend going to look around as the pictures on the website are very misleading. The private rooms are absolutely not worth the money. Some of these rooms are $139 per night for cats and $145 for dogs and they are tiny and no nicer than the lounges. ****IN REPLY TO JET PET RESPONSE**** 1) I said it was my mistake in believing that the second cat in the cat lounge was 50% off, no where did I say that Jet Pet were misleading. However when I looked around the receptionist did not correct when I was in the cat lounge saying that the second cat was 50% off 2) I didn't call out of hours, I called at 14.09 on 22/11/16,, I spoke to the receptionist who I has spoke to on the day of my visit. I can't remember her her name but she appeared to have bad eye sight as she needed to hold paperwork very close to her face to read it. 3) It was just an observation that there were no toys in the communal areas 4) Where in my review did I ask about walking cats? What my review said was that if you are going to charge up to $ 139 for one cat in one private room why would you charge $70 to add a cat to the same room. This is because all you would do with cats is feed them they DO NOT require walking and bathing etc...... 5) I did look around your facility, how else would I have been able to review the place !!!! Also how else would I have known that feline leukeamia is not a mandatory requirement (which is what is stated on your website) If you are going to reply to negative criticism please have the decency to read what reviewers write and reply accordingly. read more

History
Established in 2010.
Jet Pet Resort was founded during a time when safe, reliable, luxury pet care was hard to come by. Its convenient location near YVR and professional care quickly made it the go-to place for boarding and daycare in the Vancouver area. As Jet Pet grew, it searched out new ownership and management; finding it in the perfect partnership between Craig Pollack and James Woller that had catapulted dog walking company Release the Hounds to industry leader, and with the addition of Chris Larmer, rounds out the JPR team. Our guests and services benefit from the varied backgrounds of its new leadership, which represents experience not only in the pet industry, but business and customer service backgrounds to truly understand our clientele. The team brought Fay Egan aboard as well, having managed five veterinarian clinics in Dublin, Ireland, to help strengthen the Jet Pet staff and level of care we can offer. Today, Jet Pet Resort is able to offer impressive luxury-quality care at affordable rate

Hmmm... I'm pretty surprised by the comments on this site... obviously, most of the "satisfied" customers (like me, over the past couple of years) don't bother to write reviews, because we take it for granted that the top notch treatment we and our dogs get at JetPet is just the way it should be! JetPet should really have a sign in their lobby that tells all their customers to go online and rate them. I'm sure they would get MUCH BETTER ratings that way!!! (Or maybe even have the online review info on the client's reciept or something.) My own experience with JetPet has been nothing but SUPER FANTASTIC!!! That's why I'm so shocked at the other reviews. I've been taking my German Shepherd there for two years and my dog is super happy when I go to pick her up! I wouldn't take my dog anywhere else! The place is very CLEAN and spacious and the outdoor area is large too! My dog requires significant exercise and it's obvious she gets her walks in, because she is calm when we get home and doesn't have to do a big dump. My dog generally will only do BMs on her two daily walks. Hope this helps someone else make a more balanced decision about JetPet... it's absolutely a FIRST CLASS facility! Just go check it out and you'll see for yourself! About the staff... the comments in the "dissatisfied" reviews seem totally out of touch with my own experience. Cam... mentioned in one review, is super nice and my dog seems to think so too! She also displays considerable knowlege about dog behavior. My personal belief is that my dog is getting the kind of loving care at JetPet that I expect! JetPet has never given me a reason to believe otherwise! Anyway, that's MY opinion! read more

I left my 60 lbs lab there for 5 days while I went to a wedding in Texas. I came in for a tour days before and filled out all their paperwork, gave my vaccine history, had to pay in full to secure my dogs stay, and leave a credit card number (that they write in pen on the back of your paper file). When I came to drop my dog off they couldn't find my file or had proof that I already paid. She had to rummage through a pile off to the side and look at the sales transactions and found mine. I pre-package all of my dogs food so that there shouldnt be an issue with his food intake. So after all that, I handed my dog over, dropped off my car at the park n fly, and headed off to my flight. While in Texas I did call and they assured me he was doing great, no concerns at all. When I picked up my dog, again said everything went fine. But they put through an additional charge for "extra food" onto my cc number because "I had not provided enough food and they had to use their own". I asked about it because I pre-packed all of his food, one bag for breakfast, one bag for dinner over 5 days. I left 10 bags and that should be exactly enough food. When the girl brought over his belongings, there was his food in his second bag of belongings. Only 4 bags left. They never thought to look in there?! Are you kidding me?? So then how did the other 6 get picked up??? On the drive home, my dog had diarrhea in the car, he had it at home, and all he wanted to do was lie down on his bed. He just seemed really off. I brought him to the vets where he had to get fluid treatment and medications. read more

This was my second go round with the Jet Pet Resort. I tried them last year and it wasn't the best experience but they appear to be moving in the right direction and have improved significantly. Last year they seemed a little unorganize. They forgot to give me back one of Bigs toys when I picked him up and my paperwork was hard for them to find when I dropped him off. I tried them again last weekend and they are much improved. When I booked with them I spoke with Kimberly the manager. She asked me if I had been there before and I told her about the problems last year and she was very apologetic. She told me that she would give me the first time customer rate again since I wasn't completely satisfied with the first stay and she also threw in a free bath for Big. I thought that was pretty cool, I hadn't really expected that so I was a nice surprise. When I showed up to drop him off this time things went smoothly. My file was waiting on the desk. Everything was in order. The receptionist radioed Kimberly to come talk with me. She again apologized for the last stay, ensured that everything would go smoothly this trip and I went on my way. When I picked him up , he smelled great from the bath and all his toys were together in a box. I will try them again. I won't give them more than 3 stars until they prove the changes are permanent and not a one time deal. I'm going to use them next month when I go to California. I will update my review at that time. read more

An update: Kim, the manager both emailed and called me back. She felt bad that my dog had been hurt and offered to give us a free 5 night stay in the future. I was pretty impressed with the offer and she did seem to be truly concerned about our pup. She apologized for the experience and mentioned that she saw this review and was even working to figure out why the phones aren't always being picked up. I don't in any way think that his neck got purposely hurt, but it's nice to see a business take responsibility and go above and beyond to make the situation right. Honestly, after this experience, I've changed my mind. I think they DO give very good care here, and while I still think it's expensive, I think in some ways you get what you pay for. I still think that the plasma TV's and treadmills are gimmicky, but I really am impressed that with the after-service followup. Based on this experience I'm bumping them up to 5 stars, because I would have probably given them 4 stars to begin with and I really do think they went above and beyond in handling my concern. read more

Jet Pet has been and continues to be a great place for our family of poodles when we are travelling. The staff is friendly, helpful and they treat our girls like their own. We are able to travel with peace of mind knowing our girls are being well cared for. The staff posts pictures on facebook so we can see them at play while we are away. The facility is always clean and you are able to see inside at all times as there are no hidden rooms or your pet going behind close doors. The hours are impeccable and they work hard to accommodate even when we fly in after hours. While it is true that they charge the full amount when under 7days to your credit card, with no refund if cancellation is within a certain time frame. However, my experience has been to speak to the manager as they are always willing to work with the customer. In addition to reading the comments from these posts on the internet, I would highly recommend you to visit Jet Pet for a tour of the facility so you are able to determine for yourself if it is the right fit for you and your pet. read more

I can't believe the reviews JetPet is getting on this site. My family will never take our dogs anywhere else again. We adore the staff, they treat our dogs like family and we have total peace of mind while away. We have 2 large dogs and although I tend to be a worrywart where they are concerned I can relax when i know they are at this kennel, we have gone to many other kennels and have a plethora of horror stories to accompany almost every one. We have a Cane Corso and her looks tend to frighten people, we have even had another kennel tell us they were fine with her and then admitted they kept her in the kennel the entire time with no yard time and kicked her food and water into her and slammed the gate shut as fast as they could because she "looked scary". JPR staff displayed zero fear and even had knowledge of her breed. HUGE plus! Our dogs come home happy , healthy and in great spirits. Plus lets admit it, does it get any better that they are right there at the airport?!?! If you need peace of mind this is the kennel, hands down! read more

A cat lounge?!? My cat lounges around all day every day and I don't think he needs more pampering but since I was going to be away for a few days I went with a grand suite for $30/night. I guess it was only an extra $5 for the upgrade so the fat little guy got all the comfort he can handle. The cost and quality isn't what I love about this place since I would get one of my friends to take care of Smeegle but he craps all over the place when he's mad so I chose to leave him with the pros. Plus it's right on the way to the airport and I didn't have to drive out to the burbs somewhere. The final result? Smeegle was giddy when I picked him up and not a single crap on any pillow either there or back at home! Pros: - Location for travellers. - Costs less than parking my car. - My cat loves it. Cons: - Makes me feel guilty that he likes it there so much. read more

Words can not even describe how much i love this place! Ive been always so blah about leaving My little miniature pinscher Henessey behind. He's my son, my baby... but being able to be across the world and actually be able to see him on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram. Knowing what he's doing or how he's doing makes me feel like he's by my side the entire time. Jet Pet YVR is a places i would 100% go back too if i travel or even to play. I'm not too sure about other locations but the YVR airport location i can stand by my words. Nothing shady about the place, they will let you see and walk around the location. Yeah it smells and dirty here and there, but come on its a resort for pets, my dogs isn't the only one there and yes pets can be a pain sometimes. But for what they do i cant complain or ask for more. You pay for what you get, that's for a fact. read more

I called to ask about their $17/night promo for first time clients. As I had never been to this boarding facility before, I thought I could try this place out because I work at the airport. After I talked to the Cam the receptionist, she had the nerve to call back and say because I had booked over the long weekend, the $17/night was no longer valid and I that had to pay the full price which was $49 for the room I wanted. BUT those rooms were all booked and the only one they had left were the larger ones at $69. So in the 20 minutes from when I first called to the time they called back, all the $49 rooms were booked when I had already booked one?? This place seems too sketchy and too money hungry. I should've read the reviews before I wasted my time calling them. read more

My friend worked here. Wondered why so many people left unhappy and now we know. the owners and current manager of the northshore and yvr business are horrible. they treat the staff so poorly and dont care about anything other than money. so many people have left recently, one right after the other. every employee is unhappy. so many are looking for other jobs. it's a shame the dogs and cats need them, but even the animals are at risk. fights between dogs, dogs escaping, and the owners just say to put the dogs in rooms by themselves. so horrible. i'm so glad my friend quit. and need i say more.. looks like another manager quit. check out indeed and look at the newest job searches for jetpet. read more

My wife and I always have a positive experience with Jet Pet Resorts each time we board our Bowser at their Richmond facility. More importantly, Bowser is always happy, healthy, and safe when he is there. The staff are friendly, professional, and good natured and really care about each pet. The facilities are modern, very clean, and spacious. In addition to boarding, Jet Pet Resorts offers a variety of services, for example Jet Pet Resorts bathes Bowser each time we pick him up. All in all, because of these reasons and the fact that Jet Pet Resorts is located very conveniently close to the airport, Jet Pet Resorts gets a 5 Star rating. read more

Tried them as they have a new customer special for $27, how great is that, and from the moment I walked I was taken away! This place is amazing, CLEAN and had no smells what so ever and this tells me they keep on top of things being a year and a half old and not a hint of smell! My dog was there for 7 nights and I could tell he was extremely happy and I know he was well taken care. He is a diabetic so they had to give insulin shots daily and this was not a problem as their staff are trained in all aspects, WOW made my trip so relaxing knowing this was all taken care of! Your the best Jet Pet and "Woody" will be back real soon! read more

Our rescue dogs were absolutely pampered at Jet Pet Resort. The team gave our dogs so much love and attention and we appreciated how sensitive the staff was to each of our dogs' unique needs in terms of personalities and energy levels. From the cozy suites to the playrooms and outdoor areas, each and every detail of the Resort is well thought out and designed for the comfort and well-being of the guest dogs. I would highly recommend Jet Pet Resort to anyone and everyone who wants peace of mind while they travel. Your dogs will not want to go home! :) read more

Having a Whippet and a Great Dane x is a funny combination. Bear(GreatDane) had been to kennels before. Cypress (Whippet) had not, she was just over a year. I'm sure glad that the staff at Jet Pet Resort was totally confident and reassuring. WOW,what a great place! So clean and inviting for both humans and animals! I was given updates by i-phone pics which made me feel great. I know that the crew had tons of fun because they slept on the couch for a week! I highly recommend Jet Pet resort and will be going back for sure. Christine Mission, BC read more

Had my kitten in over Christmas and it was clear that they know what they are doing! There were so many staff on hand and all of them were playing with the animals, taking pictures and caring for them. I was very happy with the level of care and the staff truly do love the animals and give them as much attention and loves as they possibly can! I love the fact that they monitor the animals by marking everything on their doors! Great "green" idea, no wasted paper! We are 2 very happy customers and will be back! Thanks read more

We had to find a place on short notice to board our beloved Westies because of a family emergency. Right from the first phone call the staff & process was smooth and stress free. This is the second time we have used the facility for a week stay. I especially love the live camera feature and got a kick out of checking in my fur babies throughout the week. Our dogs were happy and pretty tired when then got home from all the playtime they had. I don't think they missed us at all! Thanks Pet Jet! read more

Jet Pet Resort has a wonderful daycare service. I have been leaving my dog here for the day once or twice every couple weeks since October 2014. My dog loves it here and always seems to have a good time. I love the daycare too, because my super active energetic dog comes home from daycare and sleeps for hours!!! The staff here are also wonderful, they are very friendly and helpful. The facilities are clean and well maintained. I highly recommend the daycare services of Jet Pet Resort. read more

Dropping Ms. Molly off anywhere sets off a minor anxiety attack but I managed. Her luxury suite was great and I'm a little jealous. She is fussy about what she sleeps on but there was a plush doggy bed and a TV. No vampire diaries though. The staff were nice and let me stay until she was all settled in her room. The toys helped. While I was gone I checked in with the webcam and gave her a call. Letting my baby girl hear my voice helped me more than her I think. read more

This resort is better than the one I stayed at... for real. I wasn't sure if Bud was going to be happy to see me back or not but he was. With the room I booked for him no expense was spared. It had a bed, a TV and a view of the court yard. My room had a bed, a worse TV, and a view of the parking lot. The convenience of the location was what really sold me but the facility has and indoor play area, an outdoor area and lots of buddies which was the icing. read more

I've taken my 2 year old vizsla to Jet Pet 4 times and we both love it. I won't leave him at a kennel that's kind of mean and boring. There is an open environment for Baggins to do a bit of socializing and stretch his legs. A nice touch is the photo updates, I dote over him a bit. Each visit I booked the stay online. The website doesn't fit on my iphone so I have to do it when I'm at home. Not a show stopper but booking while mobile would rock. read more
