I stopped in yesterday for a replacement rear windshield wiper. For some reason they insisted on taking my car keys and bringing the car into a service bay. I was also told they needed my registration. After about 20 minutes they said they don't have the correct windshield wiper. They can get it in another 20 minutes. I was also told no one locally in East Longmeadow or Longmeadow has it in stock. I might not be the most savvy when it comes to car mechanics but I was sure I was being taken advantage of when I was told it would be $65 in full if I waited and they replaced it. I took my keys and registration back and drove off to my car dealer where I purchased my car. They had the windshield in stock, it was $26 and in about 2 minutesit was installed. Funny thing is I purposely didn't go to the car dealer initially because car dealers are always the more expensive option. read more

I went today for a wheel / tire alignment and tire rotation and was very disappointed at the lousy job they did. First he could not even show a printout before and after the alignment was done which I always get after an alignment is done to show the difference. Then he did not do the tire rotation right - they should rotate it using the x pattern as my car is an all- wheel drive. When I called him to tell him about it , he admitted the mistake and wanted to correct it. I told him Ill never do business with him again!!!! read more

Stopped by to get a quote and to make an appointment to have tires replaced, tune up, oil change and brakes on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma. Pricing was fair and I was able to drop my vehicle off the very next morning. Dealer took the time to review parts and items needed and used only quality products. I feel like they really took a personal interest in my vehicle and I appreciate that they explained the work they were going to do prior to doing it. I feel like I have a brand new truck! My car now runs better than when I dropped it off. They even took the time to fix my horn that was not working and did not charge for it! I would recommend Jet Auto to family and friends. read more

I decided to write this while sitting here waiting to cash out. First off I was schooled on my vin number, no big deal, a lot of mechanics like to show their knowledge and that's cool. I'm not mechanically illiterate so I have a good grasp on cars and what my vehicle needs. Pause. He has to take a phone call (cell) obviously he almost got in a fight last night someone told him to get out of his car cause they were gonna beat his ass. Ok we are back. It's 60 degrees in here by the way. Anyways oil change was done promptly, no issues there. They're almost done with the oil, he comes out and tells me it needs a belt and an air filter.... New places always say you need an air filter. I politely declined both but took him up on his offer for an estimate on the belt. Then he decided he needed to go for a second, he started walking around frantically and standing over me looking out the window. Then in the middle of me waiting for a quote and him pacing around he says he'll be back in 10 minutes.... What? So they bring my keys in and say he'll be back soon... Another guys enters the store, another customer. We are both waiting for a good ten minutes when he finally comes back in.. He is not alone. A guy shoveling on the other side of the building is with him, the owner points out a plaque on the wall. After he repeatedly asked him if he read it the shoveler responds with a yes. The owner gives him a smug look and the shoveler leaves. Then he finally helps the new customer and while doing this he just completely ignored the guy multiple times while stepping in and out from their customer office and the bay's where they work on cars. He would do this in the middle of conversations with no relay to him getting ready to step out... Literally as this guy was talking he would just step away. So he finished after another ten minutes with this guy, and now FINALLY it's my turn to cash out. Remember I had my keys and my car was ready over twenty minutes ago. The big moment has arrived im mere minutes from leaving this place. Just kidding, now it's me and him, manu y manu, and now the explanation. So as I approach he remembers, oh yea I was gonna get you a quote on that belt. He starts the process trying to remember my car this and that and then says he's sorry for the hold up... I take it as it is, no problem I understand things happen. Leave it at that, right? No. I get the whole 9 about the snow from the neighbor and how the neighbor doesn't pay his bills and he shows me how he tried to bribe the snow shoveler with a $50... And when I say show I mean he whipped out his wallet, took out the 50 and snapped in my face. This somehow lead to how he was a selectman... And when he was selectman he took all the other ones down. One for voter fraud (online article to accompany the account... Just a headline that a selectman went down for voter fraud actually) and another dropped out because they knew he was running. After this I finally was pointed in the direction of the plaque on the wall... He didn't know I had already read it and he kept asking me to read it.... "I did." Then he proceeds to tell me everything the plaque says... He beat up 5 guys... BLACK guys mind you because that makes it all scarier to him... That were jumping a cop in the early 90's... And if he isn't afraid of 5 black guys in the early 90's before cellphones..... Oh wait this is when I found out he had one of the first cellphones...but if he isn't scared of 5 black guys jumping a cop before cell phones why would he be scared of this guy who doesn't pay his bills??? I'm actually getting dumber now. Ok so the quote, yea, it's actually a fair price... 95$ for the belt and labor... I will give him that. He apologized about 73 times before I left. I don't know if that really makes up for it all or not.... I think he actually means well, but it doesn't come close to changing the fact that this was actually the worst service I have ever had. So much so that I made a yelp to write this. If you value your time, and don't want to deal with these things, keep it moving. If you're looking to talk and here every story true and maybe not so much, go here. Either way I think you will get an ok price, I can't comment on workmanship since I only got an oil change. Ps. I went for an oil change. Went back over an hour later only to be told that the "boss refuses to put regular in when the vehicle required synthetic." I have a 2008 Rav-4 that does NOT require synthetic oil. Not sure why he refused to change the oil but I will never go there again or recommend it. Terrible! read more

I have a 2010 Audi A-6. Developed a bad exhaust/muffler problem. Didn't want to go to the dealer and pay a fortune. Went late Tuesday to Jet and they diagnosed the problem in about 20 minutes. Needed a "sleeve" and unbelievably they had the part in stock. Came back next morning at 10 and job was done a little after eleven. Cost $177! I would not hesitate to go back again. read more

I went into this auto/tire shop yesterday because I had one flat tire. The service was horrible and inept. It took the guy 45 minutes just to tell me how much tires cost (they were not busy at the time). I was there for 4 hours, watching my car up on the hoist with nothing being done, because they ordered a non-essential sensor that had to be delivered. By golly, they were not going to let me leave without 4 new tires and the sensor. The whole time I was there, they kept trying to push me into have additional work done on the car. I felt like I was being held hostage and told them so. I was to the point that I was ready to call AAA to have my car towed, tires or not. I went there for one new tire, instead it turned into 4 hours of frustration and a bill for over a $1,000. I'll say it: they are looking for anyway to increase your service bill. People pass on this place. There are plenty of honest auto shops out there. read more

If you want to get fleeced out of your hard earned money then this is the place for you. Took my car in for an oil change and knew about an existing problem with my exhaust that I planned on repairing myself when I could afford the parts. While I was out running errands waiting for my car to be done I get a call from Jet and the owner asks how often I have to add brake fluid. I said never, because I've never had to and he was shocked and said both my front calipers were leaking and it would be over $400 to replace them and pads. I asked him to hold off on it and he started to ask me about my exhaust. After I told him I was aware of it he said I should try leaving a shirt in my trunk and see if it smells like exhaust because there might be fumes getting into my trunk. I shrugged it off and didn't think much of it. He did the oil change (or he claimed he did) and when I went to pick up my car he said I should look at my calipers and I'll see brake fluid on top. When I got my car home I looked at the front calipers and the only fluid I saw was near the bleeder valve (wonder how that got there). I checked to make sure everything was snug and nothing looked like it was leaking. Although the exhaust was broken before I dropped off my car it was significantly louder when I left Jet, and my temporary patch had been torn to shreds. It's been 9 months since I've picked up my car and my brakes are fine and don't loose any pressure ever. When I finally crawled under my car to replace the exhaust I noticed one of the drain plugs in the wheel well of the trunk was missing. Gee, wonder why I might smell exhaust fumes. These guys will make up anything to make you think your car isn't safe and you need to do their recommended, over priced repairs. The owner kept trying to "educate" me about my car and frantically pulled out my car manual to try to explain why I should do his recommended service and seemed offended that I turned it down. He will try to "educate" you right out of your wallet. Don't trust Jet with your vehicle unless you like being screwed out of your money. I'm not sure he even changed the oil filter. He's a liar and a cheat and should never be trusted. read more
