Nov. 27, 2024 We…read morewere heading up to Charleston SC for Thanksgiving and started having tire pressure issues. We went to a gas station and put air in the tires. Still not convinced , we went to Monumental Ford dealership next door. A big shout out to Lucy Brannan, Service Advisor . She was so kind and thoughtful and had Chris and his assistant take the car back to the bay. ( We have a Volvo) They gave it a thorough check for leaks and nails, which there weren't any and topped it off the air. So we contacted this dealer about a specific vehicle. We were told the vehicle couldn't be sold due…read moreto an outstanding recall. We understood that and still looked at it, test drove it around the parking lot, and placed a refundable deposit. The salesman, and manager were present when we asked if it was fully refundable and we were told by Sales Manager Amanda that it was fully refundable. We were then told that it would be illegal to not refund it if we asked for a refund. We asked for the deposit to be documented as refundable as well. We decided not to buy the vehicle after the dealer old us the recall was completed approximately a week later. I immediately asked for a full refund. Almost 10 days later and still no effort by the dealership to provide a refund! The first excuse was the accounting person was on vacation. The latest is, they can't issue a refund without calling the card processing company. Complete B. S. Stay away! This place is definitely shady! I doubt we'll see a refund, so...
