I wasn't trying to drive in to town. I need convenience. The parking lot was clean. I entered my reward card information and then pumped my gas. The place was pretty busy. People coming and going. All very polite. Then I went inside to use the facilities (I know, TMI) and to get some snacks. The bathroom was clean, although a strong dose of bleach could have improved the smell. They had running water (not all places do), but they were out of paper towels, so I had to use the blower. I am not a fan of the blower, but it did work. I then left the restroom and proceeded to check out the snack selection. All the favorites for travelers were present. I picked up some Pringles and some lemonade. Reasonably priced too. I also noticed that there was some kind of frequent shopper card available too, so I picked it up but haven't yet signed up for anything. I need to check it out. The cashier was very pleasant. Clean clothes. Proficient too. She made change for my purchases in her head, because she told me my change before it appeared on the register. She was from the old school of math!! I appreciated that. Tip: put some paper towels in the men's bathroom and add some bleach to the cleaning solution when you mop the floor AND walls.

Truck completely shut down and was stranded 6 hours from home on a Sunday in the pouring rain... Fast forward a couple hours (and a handful of calls to local auto shops begging any mechanic to help in any fashion) I stumbled upon Ben and Star Recovery. Knowing now that without their help, I would've been spending at-least an extra night waiting for Monday to arrive (the earliest anyone could do an alternator replacement). Ben towed me to the shop and completed the replacement in less than 2 total hrs and completely salvaging what otherwise would've been a costly and week altering scenario. Couldn't be more pleased with the work and expediency to which it was performed. If you're in a pinch, they are the folks for you.

They do raise the buffalo for meat and are trying to make a living doing it. The animals are healthy and well tended. The tours are in huge open air buggies (above the buffalo heads...they are wild animals) where you can hand feed them pellets UP in the buggy! You can buy meat too if you bring a cooler. Just 3 of us, so not enough to take a motorized tour, but Sherri, one of the owners, walked back to the pasture with us, answered our many questions and let us take pictures. Small shop with buffalo meat and buffalo-related gifts, such as tees and cards. Our 11 year old granddaughter was impressed. The ranch can also host birthday parties and group tours, such as school classes.
