I found an ad for Sugar Bare in a local newspaper and thought I would give it a try. I had tried a…read morefew waxing places around the city and hadn't been entirely happy with the results. So I wanted to try sugaring instead for my regular Brazilians. I called Cathie and was able to make an appointment for the following week. She works from her home and has a private room set up. The first thing I noticed about Cathie is she is very nice and easy to talk to. She confirmed that I wanted a full Brazilian. She gave me a towel skirt and asked me to change and lie on the table with the open side up. Once I was ready she came in and made sure I wasn't cold. I do admit even though she tries to be discreet in covering you, you do end up being all out there a bit. Just a heads up! She talked about how she was going to go about things, doing small strips at a time, then tweezing if needed. I felt a huge difference in the less amount of pain the sugaring caused as opposed to waxing. There were still a few areas that were sensitive, but once it was done, it didn't feel sore! She had me help hold the skin at times. At the end she cleans the area and applies a aloe gel. Cathie is by far the most thorough person I have ever had give me a Brazilian. Trust me there was nothing left, she even went though and tweezed the small hairs or anything ingrown. She also did the back area, having me turn on my side. I was so pleased with the entire experience! The full Brazilian cost me $45, very affordable for such a great job! I have returned to Cathie numerous times since the first. She always makes me feel comfortable and we chat the whole time! She keeps a little file about you, how your hair is and what she did last time she saw you. She is always very busy, which just shows the loyalty that she develops with her clients. If you refer someone she gives you 10% off! If you are looking for a place to get a Brazilian, this is the place to come! You will not be disappointed!

I usually get waxing…read moredone elsewhere but the service at the place I had previously been going to continued to get worse. Cathie doesn't use wax, she uses a solution of sugar and lemongrass. It is less messy and less painful than using wax. Her business is located inside her home and she has a private room set up to work out of. Cathie is very friendly and really makes you feel comfortable. The pricing for her services is less expensive than other places in NW Calgary. I was very impressed with Cathie and her business, I will for sure be a return customer.
