I truly thought something was wrong with my head but she knew to also check my neck and it was a neck injury! Great diagnosis and treatment. Loved being taken seriously (in Utah I have been blown off and misdiagnosed so many times I avoided urgent care whenever possible). So happy to know I can get quality care without waiting for my PCP to have availability!

However, after today we have nothing good to say after our appointment. We had our first baby about 10 days ago and have had difficulties with breast-feeding and the baby latching onto the breast. We were made aware of a potential posterior tongue tie and that is what we came to High Lakes for. Dr. Nix was very caring and informative. She gave us all of the information that we needed to make an informed decision. When we decided to do the frenotomy. She was able to do the procedure immediately at that appointment. After the appointment, she was very supportive and helpful. She even gave us her cell phone number in case we need to call her for an emergency. Now we just have three weeks of exercises!

Reviewing medical facilities and professionals is something I've avoided in my years on Yelp. I'll…read moremake an exception for High lakes Health Care, and this applies to the organization, not any particular office or provider. My insurance provider recently sent me a letter informing me that HLHC had opted out of their plan, meaning my primary care physician (PCP) was now out-of-network. HLHC chose the end of the year to do so and failed to inform me in a timely manner, or at all actually. I had to call to confirm what my insurance provider was telling me. (My PCP said they sent out letters but I never received one. No notice was given on their much more certain patient portal.) That's inexcusable. Given the timing, I'm certain that HLHC had contemplated and determined to drop my insurance well before the end of the year; specifically it was probably before the Medicare open enrollment period had closed. Which is important because I'd have liked the option of changing insurance rather than changing my PCP. This isn't the first time HLHC has done me wrong. A few years ago, my then PCP decided to leave town but rather than allowing me to shift to another of their providers as an established patient, HLHC now considered me as unestablished, meaning I had to wait months to get an appointment. Good doctors, good facilities, lousy business practices.

My son's PCP at HLHC has been out on medical leave. In the interim he has seen two other docs in…read morethe clinic. Both have been completely inept. My husband goes to Dr. Burket's office for both dental and primary doctor purposes. He actually switched from Summit because he had a bad experience. Dr. Burket took care of my husband, just as we'd expect from any primary doctor. He got to do bloodwork (which Summit deprived him of and said "Just do it next year"). Well my husband has high cholesterol so we wasted a year when we could've been working on it (no thanks to Summit!). Dr. Burket made sure my husband was taken care of. His dental appointment also went well. Now for my own experience - I had one dental appointment last year in 2021 (and I go elsewhere for my primary doctor). Well I had an appointment this year in January but could not make it so when I canceled, they said the next available appointment was in September. I did not want to wait that long so I moved over to another dental clinic. No hard feelings but I wish they were able to hire more hygienists or something. We still highly recommend this office! I think Dr. Burket does a little of everything too (including pediatrics).
