This was the first time I saw them prepared into Styrofoam trays. 7.99lb but there is NO grit and the taste is fantastic, best beef ever. (I ordered 10 trays. We made the trip out there to check it out. Is it easy to get to.. YES! Lots of signs to retail store. Is there parking? YES, a nice big parking lot. Do they have hours? YES, posted to their door. Do I regret taking so much time to get here? YES The staff are wonderful. They have a case of things they offer right then and there. They have a frozen section with a bunch of breakfast sandwiches and other items. They have a menu of things you can order. The store itself is small but it's quiet considering it's attached to their actual production area. My only regret is not coming when my freezer was low. We grabbed a whole bunch of items and saved quite a bit vs grocery store prices. Mark my word we will be back.

Some highlights were the burger (the best I've ever had), the trout (also the best I've ever had), the charcuterie board (delicious), and the beef tallow fries (also delicious). The service was amazing; the servers were very nice and the food was very quick. Also, the ambiance was very nice; we were there on a Tuesday night and there was a waitlist (I recommend coming around 5 PM to beat the crowd). Overall, amazing! 5 stars.

Chattanooga is a meat town. Main Street Meats seems perfectly content with that fact…read more This is a butcher shop that happens to feed you, which is usually a promising arrangement. Nothing arrives looking like it spent twenty minutes being positioned with tweezers. It's meat, bread, potatoes, pickles and sauce--the sort of food that requires napkins and leaves evidence. The Reuben is borderline obscene. A heap of deeply colored, tender meat barely contained between aggressively toasted bread, melted cheese and pickles. It's messy. It falls apart. You stop caring almost immediately. The turkey club is the quieter surprise. Thick slices of actual turkey--not the sad, uniformly circular stuff that's been haunting office refrigerators since the Eisenhower administration--piled onto grilled bread with bacon, avocado and enough richness to make the whole thing work. Then there are the potatoes: thick, fried rounds with crisp, dark edges and soft centers, served without ceremony alongside ketchup and a creamy orange sauce. Simple food done properly. There's nowhere for bad technique to hide. And that's really the appeal of Main Street Meats. They're not trying to convince you that lunch needs a backstory. They butcher animals, understand meat, make sandwiches and appear to take all of it seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Michelin noticed the place. After eating here, it's not particularly difficult to understand why. Come hungry. Order too much. Get the Reuben. Wear a shirt you don't particularly care about.

We ordered a Reuben and our hostess was gracious enough (without our asking!) to have it cut in half and served in separate baskets with 2 variety of pickles for each. The broccoli salad was delicious; made fresh with yellow & red peppers, red onion, and cauliflower. We enjoyed browsing the store seeing some interesting food & imported beverage items and sampling their homemade pimento cheeses. Be sure to check out their website & menu! We will stop again when we are in the Dalton area and come prepared with our cooler. We are already thinking this will make a great stop to pack a picnic when heading to Chattanooga for the Riverfront Nights this summer.
