He took us on a guided tour of his facility. We got to see the hams in the process of curing and the storage rooms. Also got to see the staff processing bacon and packaging it. We picked up a country ham, several packs of bacon, smoked sausage and some smoked cheddar cheese. We just loved the place and the hospitality! Very nice, clean facility!

Buc-ees has one of the greatest food selection a rest stop I've ever seen except maybe the rest…read morestops in Switzerland , but lets talk USA, anyway..hands down the best series of road stop I have ever hit when traveling through Tennessee Buc-ee's is not just a gas station though it has about 80 pumps and a world-class Car wash, it is a clean, well run travel center. As a comparison think of Flying J, Loves or T&A BUT with a ridiculous food and snack lineup (National and Buc-ees branded snacks)and the friendliest, fastest staff I have seen on the planet. The store is spotless,no dust anywhere Ive seen ,and youve got to walk the whole store to get how massive this place is, the bathrooms are super clean and smell as such and the snack aisles are a foodies dreamland. Food is the only reason I detour, who needs gas? I come here for a few things, first the jerky is shockingly good and tender for the cost: tons of flavors, I have tried about five flavors and I am still have more to try, Did I say tender? and easy to justify grabbing "one more half pound" I have worked my way through a few or the sandwiches and BBQ, and the brisket and pulled pork are both great along with the three meat sandwich is full meal, not convenience store grub. The toffee cashew and peanuts amazing,peach cobbler is great and just the right amount, the banana pudding, given an ok amount, tastes super artificial (easily the worst thing on the menu), and the Buc-ee's merchandise is way too cheesy for anyone over the age of 5 to wear. Easy NOPE to these two. THE STORE: Even when it is packed, the huge rows of pumps keep things moving and stress low. Still, great selection, quick service, and usually some of the best pump prices around. Five Stars mostly..
