I bothered my CPA to have my schedule E done early, only for the manager to demand a lease and claim that it was invalid (it was not, I checked with my lawyer)! Basically, he had my 2017, 2018 and 2019 taxes, my bank info, but did not WANT to give me a loan. Hopefully he won't accidentally send my information to someone else like he did sending his other clients information to me! As…read morenew homeowners in 2017, we were introduced to Pam & Integrity Mortgage through our real estate agent. 2017 home buying was a rushed, "WTH" is-going-on process. 2019, and deciding to refinance (and now more financially savvy) - We had more time (total 5 hrs) to comparison shop with nationally reputed mortgage firms, and called Pam as well for a quote. Here is what I found, and hope this helps in your search to put more $$$ in your pockets! Pros - Integrity was very customer friendly, and courteous throughout this harebrained process on both occasions. So was the firm we eventually went with. Cons - Integrity was $3900 (!!) more expensive than the other firm's closing costs, and they couldn't match or beat the best interest rate for our credit scores. It paid us handsomely to do our homework. Being a novice at all things mortgage related, all we did was to strip down each line item on a loan estimate (which any firm should provide as per strict state and fed laws) and asked around for quotes. it would be overwhelming at first, but trust me - it's well worth your time ($3900 for 5 hrs - yes!) for doing this apples-to-apples exercise. You can pull multiple credit inquiries within a short period, and will still count as one inquiry. We discovered Integrity's hidden origination "processing" fees, underwriting fees, and higher discount points for the same interest rate! With an online mortgage firm, we got 24 x 7 service plus no hidden fees and everything processed online, and the closing meeting held (2.5 weeks from the start of this process) at the comfort of our home! Integrity told me to trust no one online (apart from them) when I revealed that I am shopping around. I took that advice to heart and eventually had to go with someone else

This other lender was unorganized; always asking for this form or that form, which in the end none of the extra forms were ever needed.
