Of about 20 customers, I think I saw one other female. The staff were friendly, fast, and informative - which was necessary given this was my first visit and there were SOOOO many choices to choose from. Now, I'll say that the pita bread was not amongst the fluffiest I have had and the meat a tad drier than I like but the toppings were out of this world! I have never seen so many toppings or sauces at a Donair shop. The garlic and sweet sauce was perfection and I believe I tried pickled radishes on my donair that were different and delish. There were about 10 or so donair recipes you could order by name but are always welcome to customize away. They advertised the world's largest donair for $14... I sense a challenge coming on for the hubs. They offer kiddo meals here with a small donair and fry for just shy of $7. I definitely want to come back and try the Donair poutine. But that's an eat in item for me - I love my fries still crisp. And I'm always down for a good falafel. Two thumbs up! Looking forward to my next visit!

The fellow at the counter greeted me as I walked in. I asked him what a shawarma is so he patiently explained that it's served the same way as a donair but the meat is prepared differently. He then offered to give me a sample of chicken shawarma meat and naturally I obliged. It was quite tasty so I decided that since I'm picking up supper for my wife and I, I should get one of each. The total with taxes but before a tip was just over $26.00. In a few minutes my order was ready to go. Upon arriving home I cut each one in half (not an easy task for food that should be unwrapped gradually as eaten). This way we could both try the donair and the shawarma and see which one we like best. As it turned out my wife arrived at the same conclusion as I did. We both enjoyed our meal but found the donair did not have a lot of flavour. On the other hand the shawarma was delicious! When ordering it I took the counter guy's suggestion to use garlic sauce. Perhaps it was that combination, I don't know for sure, but it had the flavour that makes me looking forward to my next shawarma, and not splitting it with anyone. Nearly every time I've eaten a donair or shawarma I've picked it up as a take-out order. However some people must eat in as there was plenty of seating in the bright, contemporary and clean dining area. You certainly won't have to stand while waiting for your food. They have free TELUS WiFi but don't serve coffee. I'm glad to see that Mac T Donair and Shawarma has opened up in this part of the city as there are not many in the southwest. If you come I certainly recommend the shawarma but if you order a donair be sure to share your opinion of it here in Yelp.

In terms of food, their donair was flavourful and all the ingredients tasted quite fresh. Though it looked smaller than donairs at other places, they stuffed a lot of meat/veggies/etc. in there so it was definitely worth the value.

The ambiance and atmosphere are very warm and inviting and I can say the same about the service. Our server was helpful, friendly and informative. I ordered the beef souvlaki lunch plate which came with rice and salad as well as a choice of garlic sauce, tzatziki, or tahini. We were also offered some homemade hot sauce as well. The food tasted really good and my colleagues enjoyed theirs as well. I'd like to visit again to try more of their menu. They have plenty of dishes that would be good for sharing as well.

It is really cute inside full of trinkets from Egypt that make you feel like you are in a baazar. The owner is super friendly and helpful. Really loved the customer service. We decided on a few dishes to try. We decided on the Chef's Platter that serves 2-3 although unless you have an appetite of a lumberjack, it will feed more. It comes with - Salad, Hawawshi (flatbread filled with meat), kushari (Egypt's national dish consisting of lentils and macaroni), baba Ganooj, Musakka as well as a bunch of skewers. Chicken, beef, kabab skewers, lamb shank and rice. We also ordered Egyptian tea which was delightful. Food took a while to come out. However it was all good except the lamb shank was on the dry side which was disappointing. I really enjoyed the salad and the baba ganooj. My husband enjoyed the meat dishes. However we both loved the Hawawshi. Give it a try!

This place is tucked away in a strip mall in the north end. Pretty basic on the inside, but clean. It is a little confusing though, because they hand you the menus, and then they don't say that you needed to go up to order. We figured this out, but another couple left and I think it was I think that they thought they were not being served. Thorough menu but no real vegatarian options (just salad and hummus). I was surprised that there wasn't a falafel dish. Anyway, Hubby decided on the Iraqi kabobs, kiddo 1 went with a chicken shamarma wrap, and I chose the grilled fish. Birthday girl got the fries. Food came out a bit on the slow side, but it was really busy in there. Food was flavourful. My husband and I got a complimentary soup which was rich in taste. My fish was perfectly grilled, and it came with a boatload of seasoned rice. Hubby's kababs were spicy and delicious and came with the same rice as I but also a side salad and hummus and pita. I sampled the hummus and it was delicous. Nice and creamy. Both kids were excited about their dishes. Perhaps a little on the high side for price considering the ambiance, but food was good. I would come here again.

My fiancé and I typically share one order of chicken kabab as there is plenty of food for us. Their rice really stands out, which is so crucial when it is the base of this genre of cuisine. It has so much zest! The meals include delicious humus, and kebab-shop sauce (white garlic sauce). Further they have an unreal delicious salad included, which is particularly appreciated considering most shops put little to no effort into an included salad due to it not being the main dish. The attention to detail from the team at Kabsa is fabulous. Could not be happier having found my new summer-time staple!
