First off, good here is always great; I've been coming here for years. Prices aren't bad either so in terms of Mediterranean food around the area, this has to be the best. The ambiance was fine, felt like a deli/restaurant. My gripe is, and this is actually something I find to be big, is they were featured on the Clipp magazine and offered $30 for $15 if you buy an offer. Well I bought one two months, the offer expires in December, I'm using it in August and they refuse to accept, telling me it's expired and they don't do that anymore. I detest when a business does that, completely unethical and almost like they wanted the perks of using the Clipp platform but without having to live up to their end of the bargain. So as much as I love the food here, I do not like to support businesses that aren't honorable or supportive of community in return.

The Sampler

Delicious Mediterranean food right here in Brandon - including fresh falafel, which is hard to come by! We ordered the Sampler so we could try a little bit of the basics on our first time visit. The sampler included hummus, baba ghanouj, falafel and pita - the baba ghanouj was the stand out. Pure deliciousness - just the right amount of garlic. :) We also enjoyed the lentil soup too - the owner came by our table to check in with us and was super excited for us to try it as she let us know she adds cilantro as her special touch. Can't wait to come back and try more delicious Middle Eastern fare at this locally-owned, family-run business.

Delicious and FRESH made gyro! I wanted to try a new place and Jerusalem Grill did not disappoint. The portions were hardy and the price was great!! The inside was so clean and tidy. I talked to a lady who was presumably the owner and she was so nice and welcoming! I can't wait to come back and try a bunch more food items!

I believe that I will try it again. My wife was not impressed with her salad. My sandwich was tasteful, but I'm not sure what it was missing. The workers were quite hospitable to my wife, but ignoring me. So my rating includes that also. My gyro was good. It wasn't one of the best that I've had in Tampa Bay. However, I'd consider giving it another try. The place was adorned with Jewish items well. I didn't get the feel of Jerusalem. However, that's common. Someone who may have never gone to Israel, would appreciate the decorations a bit more. As a disclaimer, since I write a lot of reviews, I figured I need to add in how the company shows hospitality to the person paying the bill. All in all, give them a shot.

I was in town visiting my sister and brother in law and wow! What a find! The restaurant itself is spotless and charmingly decorated and most importantly the Yelp reviews didn't disappoint! This might be the best Mediterranean food I've ever tried. I'm usually not a big baba ghanoush or falafel fan, but I loved both at this restaurant. Everything we tried was so moist and flavorful and the portions didn't disappoint either. Service was great also. Everyone was friendly and helpful with the recommendations. They brought us samples of their new Biscoff cheesecake and wound up ordering full slices. We wanted to lick the plates it was so good, lol. Will definitely be back next time we are back in Valrico!

This place is an absolute gem!! This was my husband and i's first time going here after seeing the great reviews online. THIS PLACE DID NOT DISAPPOINT! Everything was absolutely delicious. Everything was fresh, authentic and full of flavor. The lamb chops were so good, we had to get a plate to go. The service was amazing. Our waitress was the sweetest and made sure we were well taken care of while dining in. The mint lemonade was nothing like I've had before and it was delicious. The steak was full of flavor and paired well with the grilled veggies. We will be going back for sure. Already planning another dinner date here.

First time here -- won't be my last! This place was fantastic. The food was incredibly flavorful, juicy, fresh, all of it! It was so delicious. The staff was friendly and welcoming. This place is such a gem to the area and I look forward to my next visit! And don't miss out on the baklava and biscoff cheesecake!

This place absolutely nails the balance between upscale fine dining and an impressively efficient experience. We came specifically to indulge in high-quality Mediterranean cuisine while in town, and it exceeded expectations across the board. The service was flawless--attentive, genuinely friendly, and perfectly timed. The dishes arrived quickly yet felt anything but rushed: generous portions, impeccably fresh ingredients, spot-on seasoning, and presentation worthy of a top-tier restaurant. Without question, this will be our go-to spot every time we're back in town.

Great grill and deli! Had a wonderful lunch, highly recommend! Chicken shawarma was wonderful. Garlic sauce and chimichurri were delicious. Amanda was our waitress, very efficient and sweet!

Stewed tomatoes with olives and fresh pita bread

My aunt told me about Jerusalem back in February and she told me I needed to try it out. I was greeted right away. One thing I noticed right away was the amount of people in the restaurant and how busy it was in there. My waitress told me about what drinks were available and I got the mint lemonade which is so good. I was served an appetizer of stewed tomatoes with olives and pita bread. I ordered the hummus with pita. The hummus has a little kick with it. For my early dinner, I got the chicken shawarma which freshly made and seasoned well. I have to say, Jerusalem has some of the best pita and it's freshly made and just wonderful. The restaurant is nicely decorated and music is playing. There is a dessert counter which looks good but I was so full. The owner is really nice and appreciative. If I'm in the area, I would visit again.

I was blown away the first time I visited Turkish Kitchen here in Brandon. Tucked away in a plaza along the eastbound side of Bloomingdale Avenue, Turkish Kitchen is literally a diamond of a find. I stumbled upon the restaurant while I was in the middle of moving from Lutz to Valrico - so glad that I decided to stop here to try the food. I love Mediterranean food, and as I passed by Turkish Kitchen I figured that I finally satisfy my craving. There's a bit of beauty as you walk into the restaurant. Not sure how to really describe this, but there was an overall sense of invitation and welcome as you entered. You can tell that there were regulars that dined here, almost like an unspoken homage to the restaurants reputation. Everyone seemed to have their heads in their food which was a great sign that the food was going to be amazing. The smell of the food and spices permeated the dining area as you can take a look into the open kitchen that was there as you walked in. There's plentiful seating, but if you're looking for a hassle free experience, I would highly recommend making a reservation with the host here. The food here is nothing short of amazing. The fresh bread and oil mixture before the meal was incredibly delicious. I ordered the Adana Kebap which was amazing - the flavors blended well together along with the bed of rice it was served with. I capped this off with some fresh Turkish tea which is great in itself. The entire staff were incredibly friendly. My experience here was so good that I took my family here a second time shortly after they moved in after me! Would highly recommend to all locals and those venturing this way from Tampa proper!

TURKISH KITCHEN I am always up to trying something new…read more When a close veteran friend invited me to go to lunch, I was in. He took me to one of his favorite places. It's called Turkish Kitchen and is located at 119 W Bloomingdale Ave, in Brandon, FL. I have eaten at Italian, German, Greek, Chinese, Indian and food from other cultures but not Turkish. I was not sure that the menu selections would be in keeping with my Mediterranean lifestyle but we were on our way to find out. We entered the restaurant where my friend was well known and were escorted to a reserved table. The spacious upscale restaurant already had a good crowd of luncheon diners. As I glanced at the menu selections I knew I would not be disappointed. I will quote a line from the menu. "From succulent kebabs to Turkish tea, our menu is a culinary journey you won't forget." The four page menu had selections that would appeal to the most discriminate customers. Our waitress Angel provided flawless customer service and suggestions. Our Hummus, a bowl of Lentil soup and Sarma, grape leaves stuffed with savory rice, herbs and olive oil were perfect appetizers. These were followed by a Mix Shish which consisted of Lamb, Beef and Chicken cooked to perfection. For desserts we chose Maras, a traditional Turkish ice cream with a rich chewy texture that left us wanting more. We will revisit this Turkish gem again and choose from the over fifty offerings on the menu.

Too many meals on the road involve burgers, fries or something that leaves you wondering why you didn't just pack a lunch. I was in Kissimmee looking for Mediterranean food and came across Jerusalem Restaurant. Glad I did! This is an authentic spot with a nice selection of Mediterranean fare. Nothing fancy or pretentious. Just the kind of place I enjoy finding when I'm looking for something a little different. I ordered the lamb kebabs over rice, served with fresh, warm pita. The lamb was enjoyable, the rice made a nice accompaniment, and that warm pita was a welcome addition. There's something about fresh, warm pita that makes it awfully easy to forget you're supposed to be watching what you eat. Overall, a solid meal and a welcome change from the usual travel food routine. Is it the best Israeli food I've ever had? No. But that's a pretty high bar, and not every restaurant needs to win a championship to earn a return visit. Four stars. I'd happily stop here again the next time I'm in Kissimmee. Finding healthy food on the road that doesn't taste like a punishment deserves some credit!
