Since I ordered the flowers from the west coast for a east coast recipient, I really liked that this shop emailed me the preview of finished flower arrangement before it is delivered because it just reassured me of the quality. What? How can the new location not have a review yet?!…read more Brian and Kelly had been such a pleasure to work with. Weddings can be stressful to plan but Distinctive Floral Designs gave us one less stressor. Making an appointment is easy and they are very responsive with emails (which is my preferred method of communication due to the nature of my job). I had wanted "romantic" and "blush pink vintage" with the flowers and that is what I got. I am a super indecisive person and Kelly had been nothing but patient. She really helped to develop my vision into a reality by giving suggestions and her opinions when needed. Plus they did an awesome job decorating our wedding cake to exactly the way I had wanted it. Everything from the bouquets, boutonnieres, and table centerpieces were delivered to their designated locations on time (phew!). Their prices are very reasonable in my opinion and in fact, was below my budget. The only thing is that when I received my bridal bouquet, quite a few of the dark pink flowers were smushed, perhaps due to transport? Perhaps those flowers are more delicate and the bouquet is too full? I have no idea but I'm sure no one noticed it except myself. Either way, I am very happy with their services and would recommend all around. Thanks Brian and Kelly!

It was the same girl (I think her name was Olya) that made my bouquet, and the arrangement was as beautiful as the first time. My problem is with the bald guy (I think his name was Boris) that runs the place. While Olya was making my bouquet, I asked Boris if he could break a $20 bill. He (reluctantly) agreed, as if I wasn't a customer and just came in to break a bill, so I handed him $20. He looks at it for no more than 2 seconds and says (very confidently and nonchalantly), "it's a fake". For a second I get embarrassed, take it back and look at it myself. It looked worn out and had the texture as such, but when I brought it to the light it definitely had all the elements needed for it to be real, so I asked him to check with a marker. He said he didn't have one and then continued to prove to me that it's fake by showing me a fake $20 bill of his own. This bill actually looked and felt fake, yet not worn out and when brought to the light had none of the crucial elements that my bill had. At that point I said fuck it, and just handed him another $20. Guess what?! He had a problem with that one as well. No, not because it was "fake", but because it was a little ripped on the side. He said, "I'm sorry, but no one is going to take that from me". By this point I had so many mixed emotions inside of me, I was ready to just leave without the flowers. Instead, I finally found a crisp $20 bill and gave it to him. The irony of it all was that I needed to break that $20 to give it to Olya as a tip. To convince myself (or prove him right) I went to the bank to check the validity of the bill. To no surprise at all, they tell me, "it's a little worn out, but definitely real!" And just for shits and giggles I asked them if the ripped $20 bill was good to use. And once again, to no surprise, they told me that it was perfectly fine. In fact, they took them both and gave me two fresh $20 bills. In conclusion, Olya is a very talented florist, who deserves to be working in a much better establishment. I took one star off for embarrassing me with the first bill, then one for the other, and another one for wasting my time going to the bank to reassure myself. If I could, I'd give 1 star to the place and 5 to Olya. I don't know if I'll be coming back here, but if I do, hopefully I'm not going to have the same experience. P.S. don't come here if you don't have crisp bills.
