Ordered 10 Large Cheesesteak Subs 5 days before the Super Bowl for our Guests. Thought it would be appropriate since the Eagles were playing. All subs were ordered with Provolone cheese only. All sides were to be seperate so each guest could dress their own sub the way they liked it. All Subs were to be on the Rosemary Parm type bread. They were on PLAIN. We decided to stop in here because our son was hungry from running errands and was on the verge of becoming very hangry. I think I might have been to one Jersey Mike's before but never with any expert like my son before. I ordered the #9 Club Supreme - roast beef, swiss, bacon, turkey and mayo. I added lettuce, tomato and onions. The sub was packed with meat and I loved it! One of the best subs I've had in a really long time. I had the regular size - half of the giant size. Hubby and son split the #8 Club sub - turkey, ham, provolone and mayo. They had it Mike's way (onions, lettuce, tomatoes, spices and oil and vinegar) without the onions. They loved their's too. They did have a bit of problem putting our sandwiches together properly. Luckily we were watching them and saw where they went wrong. We were able to have it corrected before there was any food wasted. They were really nice about it too. This location has some nice outdoor seating. We were able to take advantage of this in November. Might be too hot to eat outside during the summer though. read more

I stopped by Jersey Mike's Subs for quick snack having one of their Original Italian subs. They claim it as being Jersey-Style, but whatever a New Jersey Style sub might be, I have no idea. To my eye it looks and contains pretty much the same ingredients as any other Italian and that includes whether you call it a sub, a hoagie, a hero, a spuckie or a grinder. However, the overall taste and measure of ingredients used made it far better than what I've Subway and some other places. I also liked the store as it was spotlessly clean and though located in a sort of big strip mall area had a sidewalk like patio with tables, chairs and umbrellas make outside dining a comfortable experience. read more

Whenever we go to the shore in NJ, we have a favorite place to buy sub sandwiches. Jersey Mike's. So imagine how pleased we were when we found another Jersey Mike's here in Ormond Beach, with sandwiches just as good, just as satisfying. I usually order the tuna sandwich while my husband likes the Italian sub. We like that we can make adjustments to the "toppings" - he asks to remove the onions but adds pickles and I can't eat tomatoes so I ask that they be removed and jalapeño peppers added. I feel confident saying whatever you order, you'll be just as happy with your sandwich as I am. (We also visit the store in Daytona and we're just as happy with the fresh bread and meat/tuna fish on our sandwiches). I recommend Jersey Mike's. read more

Jersey Mike's in Ormond has been getting better every time! The employees are super friendly and actually seem to take pride in their work. Today I tried the Club Supreme, which had turkey, roast beef, bacon, and swiss cheese. WOW. For toppings I chose lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles. They really pushed the sandwich over the top. Another mediocre sub shop competing in a hugely crowded sea of similar mediocre sub shops. Nothing makes this sub joint stand out from the crowd. The bread is decent, the ingredients are decent. Everything is boringly decent. Is there anything spectacular that stands out and slaps you in the keister? Nope. Nada. Nothing. This shop was empty when I arrived at 1115am. One other patron came and went during my stay. They should have known not to open a sub shop next to a Publix, which is known throughout the southeast as having excellent subs at decent prices. I was going to give 3 stars because it is a decent sub, if boring, but the pricing knocked down another star. Jersey Mike's 'standard' sub is a half sub anywhere else. $8 for a half tuna sub is expensive. Then the combo adds $3 for chips and small (22oz) soda. $12 for a half tuna sub combo is way too expensive, especially considered these subs are your basic, run-of-mill variety. read more

Went back at approximately same time of day and noticed someone got the memo! The area was decent but was on the verge of needing attention. Arrived at a good time to observe. 2 full tables and people in front of us were getting 6 subs and patrons after us were getting 2, so I'd say somewhat busy. Immediately after the people behind us left the girls swept, cleaned tables and condiment area plus prep area wiping all the "makings" area front. Meat slicer dirty, not wiped or cleaned. Employee not changing gloves after handling multiple non food items. Meats/ cheeses left in case unwrapped in a pile. Employee said they were only that way for about 2 hours! When asked for a fresh meat to be opened, was told it would take 15 minutes to "prep" the new cut. Overall Jersey Mike makes a nice sub. This location is next to a PUBLIX that make better subs so I do not tend to go in if I am carrying it out. If I want to sit then I consider this location since they have in door and out side seating. I like that they cut the meats at the time the sub is made like Publix will but I like the bread at Publix better. I do not go to a stand alone sub shop to eat in so that is why this is not a higher star rating for me. The staff has always been great and very pleasant. read more

The Bug Kahuna steak sub is out of this world. It's on the expensive side at $13. The seating is very tight so you have people's buts (who are standing in line) in your face while eating. Maybe adding a covering on your outside patio would add seating. Thanks! read more

Sandwich (when I finally got it, was good) but what shocked me was as the woman started making my sandwich, she explained that she had to stop making my sandwich, so she could make a sandwich for an employee who had to "catch the bus".
