First time visiting left me with no strong opinions either way. First, the good. Service was…read moresuper friendly and efficient (more on that later). Cool building with a historic vibe akin to a McMenamins property. We had the yamhilly pizza, basically a meat lovers style. Toppings were fresh, quality pepperoni that didn't over compensate, tasty sausage that didn't leave a heart attack level of indigestion, and flavorful sauce. The bad - confusing as #3!! For a first visit. There is a kiosk/pay station near the end of the bar that suggests that like many pizza places, one is supposed to order there and find a table, but no menus readily apparent. No signage indicating whether you're supposed to just grab a table and hope someone notices, or if you are to wait to be seated. So, back to service; we stood for quite some time, made eye contact with at least two servers who just blew right on by with no acknowledgment. I finally had to stop someone and ask what the process is. We got waved to a table in the corner that wasn't clean, where we again stood for multiple minutes after which I had to again go flag someone down. There was, only one chair at the table, an abandoned half full drink and trash still there. However, as I said, once all that got sorted, service from there on was really good. The pizza crust was ok, not great. It was flavorful but was way undercooked leaving it just overly chewy and a bit doughy. But the worst was the overwhelming front and center hit of salt. Way, way too salty. It felt like eating a salt lick. I'm not sure where it was coming from, eating toppings individually didn't seem like any one item was the culprit but as a whole, wow. I'll definitely give it one more try, but more likely than not I'll order for takeout as it is an obnoxiously loud space.

We thought we did something wrong. But no, they saw we had our three little miniature dachshunds in a stroller, and they had to come out and meet them, as they had doxies too! So nice to meet other proud pet parents!! Anyway, this review is supposed to be about the food, so here it goes. We were the only people visiting them at the time. I ordered the Double Smash with fries. The order was prepared quickly and with the kindness you'd expect from a small town business. All I can say, is OH MY GOD!! Messy, yes. But man, the flavors were incredible!! The veggies on the burger were crisp and fresh. The meat was cooked to order and was very tasty! When we come back for another stay, or driving through on our way to the coast, we will most assuredly stop in for another visit! Thanks guys, YOU rock!!

We were warmly greeted when we arrived. The menu is a little confusing for vegetarians, but we figured it out. Basically you can pick whatever is on the menu and choose what protein you want on it. We really wanted falafel however it's no longer available. They use a pea protein instead. Minus a star here as I think the pea protein while tasty, really changes the dishes we had. I had a shawarma wrap, SCW a gyro and we also got an order of hummus which came with pita. The food itself was good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The tomatoes stood out for me as better than usual. The pea protein was tasty but added a different flavor profile than I was really looking for. When you want falafel it just doesn't taste the same. The hummus was good as was the pita bread. The service was great. I enjoyed the meal but I would not seek it out again simply because of the pea protein option. Of course it's great they offer a meat substitute but it wasn't something I would seek out for Mediterranean food.
