    Sandwich number 9 missing bacon

Such a disappointing sandwich I received this evening. My husband was in the area so he went to this location because I had told him if he could pick up dinner. I always order the number nine, which is the club supreme with roast beef, turkey Swiss apple wood bacon and mayo. I always order gluten free bread because Jersey Mike's is known for being very conscious. Of allergies. When I received my sandwich and opened it up, it was horrible. The bread was so thin. I did not even have all the ingredients on the sandwich. I was not present to make sure that I get all the ingredients, but it was missing bacon the main point of me ordering #9 is because it is part of the ingredients. And no flavor, falling apart and just a complete disaster to eat . Not to mention that I have to pay extra because of GF bread and to have it all messed up is just sad and they are not cheap. I will not go to this location in the future because it was just disappointment.

Veggie with dry and hard provolone

Ordered regular veggie in store and the quality was so bad. Cheese was hard and stale. Provolone had dry rubbery bits all around the edges. Green pepper was a random end piece thrown in, stale brown lettuce. The guy making the sub threw all the toppings in 10 sec without asking or waiting for a request as if there is a line out the door! I was the only customer at the moment. Really poorly run place and experience for a $9 veggie half sub!

Not my sub but I thought it looked delish!

I just love their sandwiches. I love the quality and the fact that the meat is cut in front of me. I do wish the prices were a bit cheaper but it's not the worse I've seen. Their roast beef and turkey subs are my go to but they have a pretty descent selection if you're feeling adventurous. Employees were friendly and engaged in conversation while making my sandwich. FYI gloves were used. I think that's an important detail. Overall a good experience and my sandwich was delicious. I'll definitely be back.

It was a solid 7, which is why I place it at 3.5 stars. I may be being picky here but it just wasn't to the level of "melt-in-your-mouth" pastrami standards for me. Not to say it wasn't good, because it was perfectly fine. In fact, it's better than most of the pastrami sandwiches I tried in Chicagoland. Maybe it's the fact that I had to bring it back to the office to eat it, and half hour had gone by and pastrami weren't as warm and the Jewish rye had become soggy by the time I took the first bite. I mean, it goes without saying that the sandwich would have been 3 times better had I sat down immediately and had it. Again, all things considered, it was a perfectly good sandwich. One interesting thing was that I had never been to an establishment that included a half sour pickle instead of a normal one and gotta say, I was pleasantly surprised. Pickles can be a hit or a miss for me. I like my pickles to be crunch, but some places offer overripened ones that become borderline mushy. Schmaltz's half sour pickle was not overly salty or sour, making it very attractive for me. The more I'm thinking about it, I'm convinced that I'll have to go back and try their #14 Sloppy Paul, which is the corned beef with sauerkraut, which is another favorite of mine. And this time, I'll be sure to dine in and give another review of it to see how much I like them better.

Lots of fun deli sandwiches to choose from. I chose a French Dip; hubby had a pick two-- a cup of matzo ball soup, and 1/2 corned beef sandwich. Both served with a whole new pickle. Mine was absolutely delicious. Tons of beef, melty swiss, and grilled onion. Served nice and hot with a tasty au jus. Hubby thoroughly enjoyed his as well. Great Jewish deli. Highly recommend whether you're Jewish or not! ;)

Definitely the kind of place that's easy to stop into when you're looking for something simple and unfussy. We ordered the Italian beef with hot giardiniera and a garden salad. The standout for me was actually the bread--it was fresh, soft, and really elevated the sandwich. The beef itself was decent, but it was drier than I expected and didn't have as much flavor as I was hoping for. Thankfully, the hot giardiniera added some much-needed moisture and spice, which helped bring the sandwich together. The garden salad was very basic--just lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes--but the Italian dressing was excellent and packed with flavor. Sometimes a great dressing is all a simple salad needs. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and would come back, but next time I'd probably skip the Italian beef and try one of their deli sandwiches instead. Based on what I've heard and seen, that seems to be where Berto's really shines.

Family traditions so strong you can taste them in every bite and they've now carried that torch successfully for nearly three decades. Maybe the bread wasn't fresh, the lunch meat tasted processed, or the quality just wasn't consistent. Tony & Tina's Deli is the first place that has truly become my go-to. I absolutely love their subs, especially the Brayden. I always order the large, and it's packed with so much fresh meat that I can give a generous portion of the turkey to my toddler as a snack and still have a full sandwich left for myself. That's saying something! Their potato salad is also outstanding. It tastes homemade, not like something scooped out of a mass-produced container. It's exactly the kind of potato salad you picture enjoying on a hot summer day. What really sets Tony & Tina's apart is the customer service. The owners genuinely care about their customers. I've only had one issue, and it wasn't even their fault. It was a delivery service problem. They personally responded and made sure everything was handled professionally and promptly. If you haven't been there yet, give them a try. Grab a sandwich, check out the desserts, and if you're feeling lucky, they even have gaming machines. If you're busy and work from home like I do, their app makes ordering incredibly easy. Tony & Tina's has earned a customer for life!

The beef was ordered cheesey, spicy, dry. I don't know if their giardinere was house made or not but it was decent. The beef itself was again, good (it's not Jays or Johnnies; I'll put it that way). It was nicely filled. They definitely don't use Turano rolls and I found the bread to be dense and not absorbant of the jus. The reason that I order it dry is because usually there's enough moisture in there to soak through the Turano roll without it being dipped but this was not so it was actually bone dry. Sure, I've lived here for 45 years so you can call me a purist but if I had known it would have been that dry I definitely would have had it dipped. I'll order from here again and it may help if I were there in person.

However, this place is kind of tucked away so it wasn't busy at all in the afternoon. The outside of the building just says Deli. If you like Polish food, you'll love it here. I read some people exaggerating about the wait times. It does not take long for them to help you. Like Jewel or Mariano's, they're not going to slice your meat in 10 seconds if that's what you're hoping for. Btw the staff was nice. I think the Karen's that complain about them being rude are not very cultured and only know American culture. I ordered the signature pastrami sandwich for $10.99 and it was a very generous portion size. She put a ton of meat in it. The pastrami wasn't tough, it was fresh and soft. Honestly, I had Katz's in NY and this was a really great pastrami sandwich. I also got a large cannoli and meat pierogis. The cannoli was delicious. The pierogis were good but I like to have softer skin. The meat filling was fine but the outside was a bit too tough. I've been to a number of Polish restaurants and they usually make the skins very soft to cut. I would rate these pierogis like a 4. Overall, it's about a 4.5. Prices were very cheap. I got everything for $20. I will definitely return to try more items.
