White Horse is located about an hour from Philadelphia. The property is beautiful, the staff laid back & friendly. We sampled two flights, three tastes in each. Some selections didn't send me (like Albarino and Merlot.). I loved the Cab Franc, but my family did not. (Good thing, since it's $42.50 a bottle.). In the mood for rose, we purchased a bottle of the reserve and enjoyed it with a charcuterie board. White Horse Winery is dog friendly, imperative since I have a little furry house guest this week. Saturday afternoon we were entertained by singer/guitarist Zac Run. (Zac makes his rounds at restaurants, local wineries and distilleries. He's quite good!) By mid-afternoon the winery was hopping with a birthday gathering and what looked like two bachelorette parties. There's plenty of seating on the porch, inside and on the grounds. Celebrated my cousin's surprise 40th birthday party at Suite105. The event space was very nicely decorated. The setup was in half a circle, and I was able to see most of the guests where I was seated, which was nice. The bathroom was even cute and clean. I'm not exactly sure of all the arrangements that were made, but I believe Suite105 staff were helping with fixing plates (food was provided by the family), pouring liquor (the family brought in liquor) and other tasks, and they were kindly behind the scenes to help the occasion go smoothly. While we certainly give credit to the lovely couple and their families, Brigalia's certainly played a large role in making it an unforgettable affair. The facility is more of a complex, with separate buildings where ceremonies are held that are connected by cobbled walkways, as if they were illustrations in children's storybooks. We're talking beautifully manicured landscapes and structures that fit neatly into the complex, so lots of opportunities for some great photo ops! The reception was held in a large ballroom with an amazing lighting package that would rival Taylor Swift's wedding at MSG. The room itself is a large open space with a grand staircase, very tastefully and formally decorated. Now darlings, be prepared to chow down. The fare is abundant, decadent, and delicious. Come here with the expectation that any diet you might be following will be thoroughly negated, and hours and hours of Stairmaster fun will follow in the days ahead, but it will be worth it. Drinks...:::hiccup:::...enough said here. Your Host kept *some* semblance of control and didn't get tanked (IIRC). STAFF: The staff here were top-notch: friendly, attentive, and accommodating. The catering food was not pleasant and lacked flavor. For an event where students and families are paying a significant amount of money to attend, the food quality should be much better. Another major concern was that a wedding was taking place at the venue at the same time as my daughter's prom. Students were restricted from taking photos near certain statues and areas because of the wedding, even though wedding guests did not appear until the very end of the night and were primarily located in a separate room. It was frustrating to have photo opportunities limited throughout the evening for an event that was not actively using those spaces. If the venue cannot reasonably accommodate both events without impacting the prom experience, then they should not schedule a wedding and a prom at the same time. I've heard that other local schools have experienced similar issues at this venue. When students are paying hundreds of dollars to attend prom, they should have full access to the venue and photo opportunities without unnecessary restrictions. Lastly, the venue felt much smaller than expected for an event of this size. While Brigalias is visually appealing, the food quality, limited access due to another event, and lack of space made the overall experience less enjoyable than it should have been.

We were seated at tables while the different wines we introduced, along with some great history and a little humor. After this program we moved to another room where we could taste a variety of wines, using the little bag of wooden tokens. Next came another tasting red wines, followed by the whites. All in all, a well orchestrated and well planned experience. We will return to pick up our new Futures purchase - but definitely will return before that occasion - during warm weather so we can sit outside and enjoy the scenery.
