Another, who came recommended and whom I really wanted to use, brought no samples and provided an estimate for a good-quality carpet that used recycled materials. Another highly rated provider came, did a measure, brought samples but spent no time discussing different products and said I should visit the showroom to pick out the actual product. Andrew from Floor Coverings came, on time, was neatly dressed, well spoken, enthusiastic about our relatively small project (three rooms of carpet plus two walk-in closets), had samples, described the products he was offering, and was patient and humorous with us as we made our decision about the product. Another seemingly small thing that actually is a big thing: when he drove up, he was in a marked company van and parked on our road versus barrelling into our driveway like every other service provider usually does. Andrew described the process for ordering, delivery, and how long our project would take and everything was pretty well on target. The job took about an hour longer than he predicted (which was fine), and the carpet is just the right color and very comfortable to walk on. The installers were very friendly, however, it was slightly unnerving that they talked to either one another or callers on their earbuds the entire time they were here. On a plus side, they were neat and respectful of our development and did a good job cleaning up the work place and vacuuming before they left. The lead installer also took care to ask if I was satisfied not only with the install but also the positioning of the furniture that they put back in place. Even though they didn't speak English as their primary language, they were still friendly and, more importantly, hard workers who were conscientious of their job. Floor Coverings gets five stars from us. They were not the cheapest estimate but we're happy with the way the project turned out. My 93 year old Mom had waterproof vinyl flooring installed in April of 2022. But the tile started…read moreto separate in the middle causing a couple of tiles to crack. So I went to Carpet Tile Mart mid August to ask for service to repair and replace two tiles. I showed them pictures and they scheduled a contractor to come out a few weeks later, on September 12th. A contractor did come out and he looked at it and told my Mom he would be back the following week to fix it. He never came back. So I went back to Carpet Tile Mart in October to complain and the manager there, Mark, claimed this contractor was "very busy", but he assured me that the contractor Bill would be in contact. Still no response. So I went back in November to complain again and Mark said he just texted Bill and that he would be in contact with us. Thanksgiving went by, still not repaired. So my sister contacted Carpet Tile and finally in December, she got a response that Bill would be coming out to fix the floor on Monday, Dec 18th. We waited all day and no one showed, or contacted us to say they couldn't make it. Finally after Christmas, my sister contacted the manager of Carpet Tile and he basically said "sorry, it is out of my hands". That the contractor was an outside contractor for Carpet Tile. Then on December 22nd, Bill left a message saying he would send someone out on Wednesday, December 26th. My sister actually talked to him and he assured her his assistant would call 30 minutes before arrival because he lives very close to my mother's house. This was on December 26th. This was a full 4 months after I initially went to Carpet Tile to request service for my mother. The guy never showed up. If I could give them minus zero stars I would but because I can't, they get one star for the most terrible service after installation. I think it is so disrespectful of a company to wash their hands of an issue instead of trying to resolve it. They just lost a very loyal customer. We have been using Carpet Tile Mart for over 40 years. Very sad. I'm writing this as a business owner and I would never run my company like that and leave the customer hanging for over four months.
