My 93 year old Mom had waterproof vinyl flooring installed in April of 2022. But the tile started…read moreto separate in the middle causing a couple of tiles to crack. So I went to Carpet Tile Mart mid August to ask for service to repair and replace two tiles. I showed them pictures and they scheduled a contractor to come out a few weeks later, on September 12th. A contractor did come out and he looked at it and told my Mom he would be back the following week to fix it. He never came back. So I went back to Carpet Tile Mart in October to complain and the manager there, Mark, claimed this contractor was "very busy", but he assured me that the contractor Bill would be in contact. Still no response. So I went back in November to complain again and Mark said he just texted Bill and that he would be in contact with us. Thanksgiving went by, still not repaired. So my sister contacted Carpet Tile and finally in December, she got a response that Bill would be coming out to fix the floor on Monday, Dec 18th. We waited all day and no one showed, or contacted us to say they couldn't make it. Finally after Christmas, my sister contacted the manager of Carpet Tile and he basically said "sorry, it is out of my hands". That the contractor was an outside contractor for Carpet Tile. Then on December 22nd, Bill left a message saying he would send someone out on Wednesday, December 26th. My sister actually talked to him and he assured her his assistant would call 30 minutes before arrival because he lives very close to my mother's house. This was on December 26th. This was a full 4 months after I initially went to Carpet Tile to request service for my mother. The guy never showed up. If I could give them minus zero stars I would but because I can't, they get one star for the most terrible service after installation. I think it is so disrespectful of a company to wash their hands of an issue instead of trying to resolve it. They just lost a very loyal customer. We have been using Carpet Tile Mart for over 40 years. Very sad. I'm writing this as a business owner and I would never run my company like that and leave the customer hanging for over four months.

Just Floors moved our stove and refrigerator, then removed the floating floor and a layer of tile. They workers were very courteous. Theyleft extra tiles and glue in case we ever needed to replace one. The hardwood flooring was a spur-of-the-moment decision when trying to decide on where to transition the open kitchen itno the dining room. The previous owners had carpeted over the hardwood floor, and we had been considering lifting the whole carpet and going back to floor -- but had no idea what shape it was in. The salesman shot us a price on removing the area of carpet and sanding the floor, then leaving a "natural" finish. The price was right, so we agreed. As one can imagine, doing this without actulaly knowing what was under the carpet is ill-advised. I lifted the carpet that night to see what was under it, and found hundreds of carpet staples, both dark and light very worn patches of wood, gaps where the wood had shrunken. A quick call to Just-Floors had me talking wth the owner and his assuring me they would handle the staples and shoot me a price on anything that might need repair. The area near the patio doors really concerned me, and words like "money pit" came to my mind. These workers too were curteous. They removed staples in no time and had plastic up between the kitchen and the living room, effectively keeping the majority of dust contained. They pried boards together, when possible, and put down a liquid fast-drying wood filler for the rest. The varnish (?) was colored "natural" and helped lighten the dark spots. An extra nice touch was that they brought an extra piece of wood transition and laid it in front of the patio door. The finished product was simply amazing -- and didn't cost me a penny extra.

At this point it's really noticeable throughout the bedrooms and many wrinkles down the hallway. I contacted them recently to discuss this, and see if they could remedy it--from everyone I've talked to, this shouldn't have happened so soon and indicates either poor installation or quality of product. They refused to acknowledge anything abnormal about this, and quoted me $500-600 to restretch. The sad thing is they came recommended on Angie's list. I wouldn't have paid for new carpet and installation if I would've known it'd cost $500-600 two years later to restretch. Ridiculous. Plus I obviously don't trust them to do the job right at this point. I do NOT recommend this company.
