Just Floors moved our stove and refrigerator, then removed the floating floor and a layer of tile. They workers were very courteous. Theyleft extra tiles and glue in case we ever needed to replace one. The hardwood flooring was a spur-of-the-moment decision when trying to decide on where to transition the open kitchen itno the dining room. The previous owners had carpeted over the hardwood floor, and we had been considering lifting the whole carpet and going back to floor -- but had no idea what shape it was in. The salesman shot us a price on removing the area of carpet and sanding the floor, then leaving a "natural" finish. The price was right, so we agreed. As one can imagine, doing this without actulaly knowing what was under the carpet is ill-advised. I lifted the carpet that night to see what was under it, and found hundreds of carpet staples, both dark and light very worn patches of wood, gaps where the wood had shrunken. A quick call to Just-Floors had me talking wth the owner and his assuring me they would handle the staples and shoot me a price on anything that might need repair. The area near the patio doors really concerned me, and words like "money pit" came to my mind. These workers too were curteous. They removed staples in no time and had plastic up between the kitchen and the living room, effectively keeping the majority of dust contained. They pried boards together, when possible, and put down a liquid fast-drying wood filler for the rest. The varnish (?) was colored "natural" and helped lighten the dark spots. An extra nice touch was that they brought an extra piece of wood transition and laid it in front of the patio door. The finished product was simply amazing -- and didn't cost me a penny extra.

At this point it's really noticeable throughout the bedrooms and many wrinkles down the hallway. I contacted them recently to discuss this, and see if they could remedy it--from everyone I've talked to, this shouldn't have happened so soon and indicates either poor installation or quality of product. They refused to acknowledge anything abnormal about this, and quoted me $500-600 to restretch. The sad thing is they came recommended on Angie's list. I wouldn't have paid for new carpet and installation if I would've known it'd cost $500-600 two years later to restretch. Ridiculous. Plus I obviously don't trust them to do the job right at this point. I do NOT recommend this company.

Mike and his team did a great job installing my carpets, got rid of the creaks in the floorboards, and all for a reasonable price (and in less than 2 weeks). When I bought our condo, I knew we wanted to replace the flooring. I reached out to several…read moreproviders: one waited several days and then asked to change our confirmed appointment time and day. Another, who came recommended and whom I really wanted to use, brought no samples and provided an estimate for a good-quality carpet that used recycled materials. Another highly rated provider came, did a measure, brought samples but spent no time discussing different products and said I should visit the showroom to pick out the actual product. Andrew from Floor Coverings came, on time, was neatly dressed, well spoken, enthusiastic about our relatively small project (three rooms of carpet plus two walk-in closets), had samples, described the products he was offering, and was patient and humorous with us as we made our decision about the product. Another seemingly small thing that actually is a big thing: when he drove up, he was in a marked company van and parked on our road versus barrelling into our driveway like every other service provider usually does. Andrew described the process for ordering, delivery, and how long our project would take and everything was pretty well on target. The job took about an hour longer than he predicted (which was fine), and the carpet is just the right color and very comfortable to walk on. The installers were very friendly, however, it was slightly unnerving that they talked to either one another or callers on their earbuds the entire time they were here. On a plus side, they were neat and respectful of our development and did a good job cleaning up the work place and vacuuming before they left. The lead installer also took care to ask if I was satisfied not only with the install but also the positioning of the furniture that they put back in place. Even though they didn't speak English as their primary language, they were still friendly and, more importantly, hard workers who were conscientious of their job. Floor Coverings gets five stars from us. They were not the cheapest estimate but we're happy with the way the project turned out. I'd take a picture but it's carpet and we all know what it looks like so
