I would never imagine I would be treated like that over a simple request. This smells fishy to me if they will not verify serial numbers. Does that mean that appliances are stolen? Why else would they decline that request?

It never really worked. I used to own a farm, I know how to test water. I turned the water under the sink off completely and cleaned up all the water. I called Dave's Plumbing on recommendation of the previous homeowner. The man on the phone was nice enough, said that he may or may not be able to get someone out here, but tomorrow definitely. Fine. I got a call from one of Dave's employees that he was stopping by in the afternoon. I showed the man the situation under the sink. I asked that the shut off valves be replaced. They were 40 years old and one turn away from leaking themselves. I asked to have a filter of my choice also installed since the old filter was clearly not functioning properly and, read above, it didn't even work with a new (expensive) filter. The plumber guy even told me that the filter I wanted wouldn't help. The TDS on the new filter I installed is ~7. Folks, most bottled "spring water" is about ~35. Florida water out of the tap is ~200+. Dave - this is the part you need to read! The plumber that showed up clearly did not want to do the work; he clearly had a major attitute. I smiled, invited him in, asked how his day was going.... The Work: Replace a couple of valves and install a new filter. I did not have the filter, but I wanted the old leaking filter removed and new valves installed (one of the old valves barely shut off and leaked) so I could get use of my sink again. I would order the filter and then have them install it. Easy since the proper valve to the filter would be shut off; once the new filter was installed, just flick the switch to let the water flow. The plumber kept repeatedly saying, "You can do this yourself right?" "This job ins't too hard". He also said, "Why not just fix the existing filter". I explained to him it was not effective in the least. Again,, "You can do this yourself right?" "This job ins't too hard". "Why not just fix the existing filter". I work like everyone else and it is overwhelming sometimes. I needed to hire a plumber for their expertise to knock out the job. Needless to say, not having your kitchen sink working is a bit of an inconvenience. I could clearly see the plumber didn't want to do it. As I was showing him the door ( I mean he doesn't want to do it), he starting saying, "We are open M-F 9-5, just give us a call". You all need to understand that this was all being said with an attitude. Why would I call you? You clearly didn't want to do the job. I bought two shark bites, a coupler for the new filter I bought. It took about 1.5 hours to remove the old plumbing and install the new filter. My total cost ~300. My savings doing it myself? I'd say ~500. I will not be called Dave's Attitude Plumbing ever again. I'm glad you all have all the work you need and can afford to be selective. Florida = the state of contractors with wet diapers.

I then called a few other local A/C service companies - explaining the problem as best I could, and in the same way, to all the technicians I spoke with. The second company I called did not answer the phone, twice, so I figured they were on vacation. The third company told me they would be able to send a tech out...but it would be considered "Emergency Service" and would cost much more than the normal rate for someone to come out...on a Tuesday afternoon...during what their website said were still regular business/non-holiday hours. I finally called All About Air, and I wish that had been my first call. I said the same thing I said to everyone else ... and instead of trying to make a few bucks by sending someone out to my house for something that would take them 2-3 minutes to fix - the technician I spoke with, Chris, identified the issue in a few seconds, stayed on the phone, and walked me through what I was looking at and what to do. (for something that was actually INCREDIBLY simple to fix, but for most of us we wouldn't know where to start...) The phone call took all of 4 minutes, the fix I was then able to do myself took all of another 4 minutes...and before I had time to second guess if it had worked my house was cooling off. That probably saved me a hundred bucks (or more) and a MASSIVE headache. Honestly awesome service and a genuinely nice thing to do.

After the technician worked on the cooler and left the cooler was still not working. We called back and the owner sent two technicians who worked inside the cooler for a while who promised our cooler would be cold now. There was ice in the flower buckets and all the flowers were frozen. At that time we gave him the invoices for all the dead flowers that we purchased the day before. The owner called and refused to accept any responsibly for the damage that his employees caused.
