My experience at Jerrie's Shop (bathing suit store in Woodbury): - I was told about 10 times, during my 45 minutes there, that the pieces I was holding were not part of the sale. Each time I said, "understood." - I tried on a bathing suit and as I was looking at myself in the mirror and talking to my sister about the bathing suit, I was approached by one of their sale's staff and told that I needed a larger size. I could see two other employees standing in the corner of the dressing room, staring at me and rolling their eyes. I began to tell her that I didn't think I needed a different size, she cut me off and said, "no, you do." She came back a minute later with the larger size. Please note that this input was unsolicited. I never asked for their opinion or for them to grab me a different size. - My fitting room curtain was abruptly opened by the sales staff while I was undressed. I explained that I was uncomfortable with her doing that, her response, "I am used to seeing women naked." - I was stared down the entire time and when I asked a question about a bathing suit bottom, I was yelled at and the response was, "No! That one is not extra coverage!" - I showed my sister a dress and explained to her that it was too big for me, the owner, Marna Hann, looked at me and yelled, "Trust me that fits you!" and she rolled her eyes. Again, I didn't ask for her input or opinion. I wasn't even addressing her. I was talking to my sister. I felt like I was in the twilight zone. How do 4 women get away with this type of behavior? Did I do something wrong? Luckily my sister witnessed it and validated everything I felt and experienced, and then I read the online reviews and more validation........Read all of the reviews!!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY at a store that intentionally body shames women and treats women with absolute disrespect and borderline harrasment. I should've spent my money elsewhere. There isn't a single brand they sell that you cannot find at Everything But Water, Nordstrom's, Saks or Bloomies. Marna if you are reading this, I wonder what the brands you sell would have to say about your behavior? Taking into consideration the importance of body positivity, inclusivity and respect, wonder how they would feel about you, your partner and employees, representing their brand and products? ******DO NOT SHOP HERE******** Like everyone else has said, the staff is SOOO rude. The person helping me was an overweight women with bleached blonde hair and an awful spray tan (who clearly hates herself and her life). Told me I couldn't I fit into any of the suits there.....she's just mad she can't fit into any of the suits there. Do yourself a favor , and find somewhere else to find a bathing suit. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT shop for swim wear at this store. The owner and staff are extremely rude and NOT helpful. I bought a few bathing suits and I had to exchange one because I purchased the wrong size. I went back later on in the afternoon and they didn't have my size so I had to return it - the manager just said no with no basis to her response. The tags were still in place and I still had my receipt. Worst shopping experience EVER! read more

I've been to this store a few times and unlike the other reviews, I've had pretty good experiences. One time, a while ago, I agree, the staff was pretty rude, but in general they're REALLY great at sizing me up and showing me which bathing suits will be a good fit for me / look flattering. The bathing suits are extremely expensive but I go back because I find they hold up really well and are nicer than any other suits anywhere else! But make sure when they ring you up, the prices are the same as the tags and the discounts are reflected-they made a few mistakes, but did correct them once we told them. read more

I tried to return bathing suits that were never worn and they still had the tags on them and was told no returns on bathing suits Final Sale. Jerrie Shop has the worst customer service and poor quality suits I have ever experienced !! I purchased a bathing suit for $180 in May . After wearing it twice ,the top fell apart!! Wires coming through and rips . I went there today to see if they'd give me another top. When i spoke to MARYJANE she said that the seamstress won't be in for a month and owner is out of town !! told me to take it somewhere else and get it fixed! I told her i can't wait until Friday since I was going away and asked if I could just exchange it and she rudely said NO! I then asked if she could get in touch with the owner and answer again NO! Which is crap since there has to be a way to get in touch with her. I then ask what now and she says she doesn't know what to tell me and walked away!!!!! I will never step foot in that place again!! I work in a local hair salon , very busy one, and will definitely tell all my clients of this experience!!!! read more

Even after reading the bad Yelp reviews, I gave this place a chance in an effort to support a local business. Big mistake!!! The customer service is horrendous...the worst I have ever experienced anywhere. When I was in the dressing room, I asked to try on a suit in a different size and was told that they wouldn't help me because it came from the sale rack. Really??? They only help customers that are paying full price?!? It was 10:15am, the store was nearly empty, and I had my three year old with me. No way was I going to get dressed and go out again to get another size. When I explained why I was leaving, I was told again (in a nasty way) that they won't bring customers anything from the sale rack and they are fine without my business. The only way an independently owned shop like this can compete with the bigger stores is with exceptional products and exceptional service. Jerrie Shop has neither. Save yourself the bad experience and go to any major department store or Everything But The Water. read more

This Store deserves ZERO stars. Worst customer Service, rudest most disgusting people working there, worst selection - there are seriously not enough negative things I can say about BOTH locations. I was unfortunately given a gift and had to walk in and when i wanted to return what I received- they Flipped out! I ended up having a screaming match with the woman who worked there and the Manager before getting so frustrated I took my things and stormed out. I then went to the RVC Location where AGAIN not a single person smiled or said hello or offered to help but huffed and puffed when i wanted to return. I asked to see a Sarong which was rolled up in a basket and I was told NO - You don't need to buy it I dont care - im not unrolling it to show you. It was SO unbelievable. I have never in my entire life seen a store run like this. The funny part is -their selection is GROSS. Trashy ugly crappy quality. I will never ever ever walk in their again and Cant WAIT to see them out of business. read more
