The chicken was tender, juicy and flavorful. The rice and peas and plantains were very good too. While tasty, I think they microwave the Mac and cheese because the styrofoam container was melting underneath. The prices are on the higher side. It was $18 for the dinner. Fortunately, you get large portions. I usually get about two meals from one order. The food is better here than other jerk restaurants.

The coconut curry shrimp lacked the depth and really any flavor you'd expect for something curried, the jerk wings lacked that quintessential smoke flavor and smell and at opening when we went they said we're out of rice and peas and substituted it for overcooked jasmine rice and the pineapple upside down cake was also unavailable. Again, maybe a place for appetizers and drinks only.

I've eaten at Fahrenheit 212 several times, and their food is excellent with one exception…read more First the good! The entree salads are always fresh and tasty. Their perch on Fridays is a favorite with a good-sized 6 pieces to start. If you order AYCE, they refill with 2 or 4 pieces. Sides are always good, especially the asparagus when they have it. Now the not so good! The French onion soup is perfunctory and not the real thing. They've taken clear shortcuts: not caramelizing the onions enough, using croutons instead of French bread, and sticking a slice of cheese on top and microwaving instead of baking the dish in the over. There is an artificial sweetness that has been added rather than coming naturally from the caramelized onions. So I would not recommend ordering the French onion soup.

Table for two on a Thursday in September at 5:30 was no issue. I had a great time here, caught up with a friend, the setting is fantastic and the service was 10/10. Very nice dishware, chairs, tables, everything. One dish was a 10/10 - the short rib, scallop, poblano grits. Those were probably the best grits I've ever eaten. Seasoned really nicely. Small guacamole was definitely enough for two people. We got it with the pineapple, mango habanero on top and it really added nothing to the experience. Made it harder to eat and I got no habanero spice at all. Guac needed some salt, but chips were really good. We got a seasonal tomato dish with some crunchy corn like stuff on top. Was good. Not super memorable but needed some vegetables. Our other dish was the Brazilian coconut chicken. Chicken/sauce was very blah. Not much flavor and our two chicken legs were cooked too long. A Slow cooked chicken would be better as would an improved coconut sauce flavor. The grilled vegetables and rice with it were better than the meat. We also had a couple drinks each and everything was great. They do happy hours, but we wanted some stuff not on that happy hour menu. You want what you want. This restaurant was not super loud half full, but if packed it would probably be quite loud. They have outdoor seating in the alley that looked very cool but it was like 90 degrees today so that was a hell no. Paid about $200 combined. Food: 8/10 Service: 10/10 Ambience: 10/10

Had a rough experience here today. Wanna hear about it? Buckle up!…read more So I've eaten at this place no less than 60 times over the last five years and most of the time, 80% even, it's incredible. Like one of the best meals you can have in the area. But the other 20%? Varying degrees of diabolical and today was the worst. Ordered my usual red curry described in detail on the menu as "Bell peppers, bamboo shoots, hot peppers, coconut milk, & fresh basil" and you guessed it, the curry itself is red. What I got today was pumpkin orange, overpoweringly sweet, and hodgepodge of vegetables that have no business being in a spicy dish (or are in the menu's description) carrots, baby corn, mushrooms, cabbage and not a dang bell pepper in sight. I tried, and I was calm ladies and gentlemen; I know the waiter didn't make the food and I never get heated with service industry workers period, their job is hard enough. But when I explained this to the waiter he tried telling me what coconut milk tastes like after I explained to him this was my go-to meal at his restaurant. I know this doesn't matter and young people aren't great listeners but this is an $80 for two meal with a dish I didn't order and side of gaslighting. Sad to say this is the straw that broke the camels back and I am going to miss those 8 awesome yearly meals.

I normally love the sweet and sour chicken and it was great but I actually preferred the Mongolian beef - lots of onions but we are obsessed with them. The wedge salad was on point and classic. And then layer on Frank Sinatra tunes in the background while sipping the well made martinis made by Alissa...a great evening. My only negative would be the calamari I thought would have been better, not hot. Maybe not a 5 in the options of a large metropolitan city, but for the square on downtown Crown Point, an absolute 5. Look forward to enjoying again when in the area.
