this is the second year I have taken my John Deere riding mower to Jericho. last year after having my mower I was called and told it will be 900.00 for a 600dollar mower for services and oil change ! I paid because I figured it was legit upon recei the mover I started it and the blades were rattling and shaking the whole mower and I was told they didn't tighten the blades right and it broke a bolt assembly thankfully they repaired it after giving me an attitude about it. this year 400 dollars for the service and today I was going to mow for the second time and the mower will start and not move ! i was told upon delivery the tractor is running perfect and they replaced a pulley and will have no issues. well today I went to mow started it and it won't move. i have tried everything but it will not go forward or reverse. I called Jericho and the owner told me it's not on him. I said can you just look at it and he was quick to put it on me and saI'd " I don't work for free" well that's good because I paid you 400 dollars 3 weeks ago and I was told it was good to go ! he refused to look at it with out charging me another 120.00 pickup and delivery and continues to say he doesn't work for free. the rudest most disrespectful business owner I have ever dealt with. as a disabled veteran I would expect alittle more respect. read more

Last December I had the mower picked up for service. The engine was knocking and I wanted it looked at. Yesterday, I started the mower for the first time since it was returned, It smoked so bad that i thought a neighbor would call the EPA. It sends out a very thick cloud of blue smoke. It was not smoking before I had it picked up. I was told today that all they did to "fix" the knocking was to replace the oil with a thicker consistency. For this, I was charged over $800. They take no responsibility for the burning oil and suggested that a mouse might have been chewing on the wiring???? read more

I was incredibly impressed with these guys and their professionalism. I took a tire in for my zero turn mower thinking I needed a new tire. They looked at it and said they could just repair the hole and save me some money. I was surprised by this because they easily could have sold me a new tire and made more money. Owner at Jericho may be a stand up guy, but the guy working his parts counter tried to beat me for $20 on a cash parts sale. I probably misheard him thinking I heard 44.45 instead of 24.45, but when I asked for clarification when handing him two 20's and a ten, all he said was I'll get you 5.55 change. Handed me the %.55 but left the invoice sitting on his desk. When I asked for the invoice/receipt, he asked, "You want your receipt?" I have ALWAYS received invoice when dealing with Jericho. When I saw it, sure enough, 24.45. I told him , "I gave you $50." Opened the cash drawer and handed me a 20 without a word. Yea, I'm done dealing with Jericho. Knew exactly what had happened and tried to clip me for the 20. Not the way for an independent to compete with the Big Box Stores..... where I'll be going from now on. read more

In my adult life I've had 3 different jobs in 3 very different industries. The mantra, "Under promise and over deliver" has been mentioned at all of these companies where I've worked. Although I don't work at Jericho Mowers, I can assure you they epitomize that phrase. After an unsuccessful attempt at getting my mower fixed at a different company, I called Jericho. The previous company said, "It's the carburetor--we don't work on those on a Briggs & Stratton." I called Jericho and they, in a very happy/glad/appreciative tone, said, "We do!" I told the gentlemen on the phone the issue, he gave me an rough idea on what it would cost, and said to drop it off. I brought it to them that afternoon and due to my wife working, had both of my girls with me (2 years old & 20 months.) My girls are pretty good, but I try to "contain" them as much as possible, so I brought along a stroller to toss my 20 month old in. Noticing me pushing a stroller, a mower, and trying to hold a 2 year old by the hand, an employee came out and said, "Let me help you out--just leave it here and I'll go get a clipboard." He was back immediately, got the pertinent information, and said, "We should be able to look at it by the weekend--probably ready early next week." (This was Tuesday for reference.) I told him, "Sounds good!" (It's for my rental house and my hands are tied with a few other projects so I couldn't work on it at all.) Anyways, he said it should come to about $150 and they'll give me a call when they can look at it. They call me on Thursday, confirm it's the carburetor and it'll come to the $146.52, and ask if they should go forward. I told them to go ahead and give me a call when it's ready. The same guy calls me back mere hours later and says it's ready to be picked-up...estimate/serviced before end of day Thursday--originally might not get to look at it until the weekend. That's GREAT service. I go to pick it up and I'm back again with my two girls. After I pay, they roll it to my car, patiently wait while connecting with both of my girls while I strap them in the car, and then help me lift it into my SUV. Oh, and not only is the carburetor fixed--they've cleaned the whole mower and it looks like it rolled out of the showroom! No cobwebs, no caked on grass--you know how used mowers look. "Under promise, over deliver." Quote the job by the weekend, finished by Thursday. Helping me while my hands are full. All service delivered by professional, patient, and courteous guys from the very first phone call until helping me load it, cleaned-and-fixed, into my car. I highly recommend them for all of your lawnmower needs. read more

I had my riding lawnmower fixed by this company. They did a very poor job and would never take my mower back there. After $455 it wouldn't start. They had two opportunities to get it right so I finally took it somewhere else for a second opinion. It has worked great ever since. I would never, ever take my mower to this company for repairs. They were also unwilling to refund any of my money because they insisted they did everything right. Well, if they did everything right, why wouldn't it start both times. If there were a zero rating, I would give them that. read more

I searched a mowing service around West Chester and randomly selected Jericho's because of how close it was to my house. I called and they had explained that they were on a 1 week backlog. With my traveling work life, I don't have 1 week to wait and needed my mower fixed quickly. Regardless, I decided to go because I just needed to get it done and off my "list". When I showed up, they asked me about the problem my mower had. I told them that I put too much oil in and that now it begins smoking heavily as soon as I turn it on. They were so nice about it and asked how long I had before I needed to leave, which was an hour tops. They slid my mower in and not only fixed it quickly, but they even put on a new blade for a more even cut as well as wiped it down to where it looked like a brand new mower (I didn't have enough time for them to wash it). I would highly recommend this place as they were thorough and gave me great customer service when I needed something done quickly. read more

This location is a joke!!!! I have had my lawnmower serviced there for 5 years now. Every spring I have to bring the lawnmower back to them to get it running again. For the longest time I thought it was just the mower that was the issue. I used a different service company this year because of all the reoccurring problems. I just wanted to see if my suspicions were right and it turns out they were! Jericho stripped the bolts on the carburetor (which has already been replaced three times by Jericho!). They bent the throttle shaft and after all the service they have done they still didn't fix the original problem that kept the mower from working year after year. This place is a joke. They actually told my wife the last time we brought it in that the problem was bad gas. Oddly enough I have been using there fuel additive they recommended to keep the fuel fresh. Lies lies and more lies. Bad service and they are almost a month out from setting an appointment. The only reason this place does any business is because lawnmower service shops are few and far between now a days. Don't settle for this repair shop. Drive an extra 20 minutes and have your lawnmower serviced and fixed correctly the first time. Beware!!!!!!! read more
