The egg rolls we shared as an appetizer were crunchy and tasty, and most importantly not greasy; and I really liked the spring rolls and their dipping sauce, too. The pho broth was delicious and my dish came with a lot of tender steak, and although I avoid tendons and tripe, my dining companions enjoyed theirs. The jasmine iced tea was refreshing and our server was very accommodating with water service, as well. The interior of the restaurant seems to have been redone fairly recently making it a very attractive and comfortable place to dine. I'm from the states and I know we have a bad wrap in other countries, so I didn't want to be the stereotypical American (I'm not white, I'm actually Mexican American) but still I didn't want to be that person. So I just re ordered what I wanted not once did we send the food back. When we finished I asked Ale for boxes she actually boxed our food. Our bill was about $1,600 pesos and we left her a $150 peso tip . I was mortified when she comes after us and demands $300 pesos tip because that's about the 20% she was supposed to get. I was under the impression that tips were optional and given for good service, I got ok service and I did tell her at least one of the order was wrong, she would take off for long periods of time. I just didn't think she deserved the $300 pesos and I just gave In because I didn't want to make a scene. That whole experience sucked and I was super embarrassed. So the restaurant was good the waitress was horrible.
