I told her she should hire some staff since i've never seen anyone else work here beside her, and she replied saying she doesn't trust helpers. I have been to this salon a handful of times and have never seen anyone beside myself. I had also called beforehand and asked for her availability and she said she's available the same day, so it's not like I showed up unannounced. On the phone I had asked her the price and had confirmed it before she started. When she was done with the treatment, and I went to pay for my har oil treatment plus hair wash and blowout.. she had doubled the price and said it's because she included a hard water treatment serum when washing my hair. She never asked me, nor did she suggest it. She did it on her own and expected me to pay double the amount that was agreed upon. No wonder her salon is always empty.

It was around 5 p.m., so the evening rush had not started yet. Once I was seated, Yasleen came over and asked if I was getting a cleanup. I told her that was all I needed, and she got started. The service was quick and NOT painful, which was great! I really appreciated how efficient she was. I was in and out within 10 minutes and thankfully missed the evening rush. When I got home, I realized part of the skin on my upper eyelid had been ripped off during the waxing. I contacted the salon immediately, and the owner was trying to help me... however, I understand asking whether I was on antibiotics is a standard question, but even after I explained that I wasn't on any medication and sent a photo clearly showing a skin tear, I felt the focus was more on finding another explanation than acknowledging the injury. I followed every aftercare instruction exactly as advised, applying ointment every three hours and avoiding hot water for the next 36 hours. When my eyelid remained swollen and painful, I reached out again and asked if they could refund my eyebrow service. Instead, I was told : " I'm sorry it still is in bad condition but it looks like you didn't use any ointment like I suggested" As someone who cares about my skin and previously worked in the aesthetics industry, that assumption was extremely disappointing because I had followed their instructions carefully. I understand that accidents can happen during waxing. What disappointed me was how that was handled afterward. As a long-time customer, I expected more professionalism and accountability.
