Unfortunately, the business practices completely overshadowed that positive experience. Scheduling was difficult from the start, with very limited availability for makeup sessions. When our credit card unexpectedly declined, Sylvan refused to release our child until we provided a new credit card on the spot. As a parent, that felt incredibly uncomfortable and inappropriate. The biggest issue came when we tried to reduce the number of sessions due to our family's summer travel schedule. We were given three different processes we supposedly needed to follow, which delayed everything by nearly two weeks. After following their instructions, we were then told we could only make the change if we agreed to pay a higher rate. It felt like every step was designed to prevent us from adjusting our plan rather than working with us. It's disappointing because the instructors are excellent, but the corporate policies and billing practices felt more focused on locking families into contracts than supporting children's learning. I've dealt with restrictive gym memberships that were easier to navigate than this. If you're considering Sylvan, I would strongly encourage you to read the enrollment agreement carefully and ask detailed questions about scheduling, billing, cancellations, and program changes before signing. The educational staff deserve praise, but the administrative experience left us feeling trapped rather than supported.

My review is WAY overdue. We've been with Tutorific since December of 2019 and today is May 1st,…read more2025. Our kids start Tutorific at age 4 and continue until they begin 1st grade. There is no magic time, it's what we have decided is right for our kids. We utilize the reading program. Our oldest son, Evan ultimately worked on math too. He was in kindergarten via Zoom and struggled a bit. His tutor, Will started helping with the math and then all was good!!! Evan is currently in 4th grade. Our oldest daughter, Grace loved coming and playing the games with Matt. Playing games is one of many ways Tutorific teaches kids. She still asks me to play the reading games with her from time to time. Grace currently in 1st grade. Our 4.5 year old, Joey reads with the owner, Matt twice a week. He's in preschool and can easily sound out 6 letter words. Joey reads over 400 words by sight. Tutorific has a reward system in place. You reach certain milestones and go to the "PRIZE WALL!" Joey adores the prize wall. A reward system really helps Joey stay on track. It's amazing having kids that can read at such a young age. Our baby, Olivia can be found playing with toys and running around the Tutorific lobby twice a week while big brother, Joey is strengthening his reading skills. She'll start in a few years! I took screenshots of facebook posts my wife or I have posted over the years. I have so many wonderful things to say, I don't know what to write. I decided sharing our personal posts written for our family and friends would give you the best bird's eye view of how much we love Tutorific. We are moms who have feel like Tutorific is more than a place to help kids with homework. They have helped our kids learn to read but more importantly they helped our kids LOVE reading. A gift that keeps on giving for a lifetime. Matt and his staff are absolutely amazing.

Dario has been so patient with him, helping him stay focused and making learning feel manageable and positive. Even more amazing, my youngest son (who is just 4 years old) is learning how to read after I watched the progress of his brother. He usually has a hard time going to regular school or childcare, but somehow he absolutely loves going to tutoring and is always excited to bring his work box. He loves that Mr. Mat plays reading games and makes learning fun. The encouragement and connection they build with the kids make such a huge difference. We are so grateful to have found this place. They also moved to a new facility down the street which looks great. There is a comfortable sitting area and also a bonus yard for parents or students to sit for fresh air and greenery. Definitely recommend this place.

I gotta give credit to Bastian! He's fantastic, welcoming & connects with these students. Prior to choosing Mathnasium I looked into Kumon as well and had my kids assessed there too. I can say that while Kumon was cheaper, the assessment of my kids was majorly underwhelming. I was told how extremely behind they were, which I knew was not true. It made my kids feel bad. Kumon also required pages and pages of homework. My kids felt the place was creepy. Not for us! Mathnasium sold me on the approach of targeting areas and working on a well rounded picture, while allowing a little time at the end for kids to show their current homework & make sure they're on the right track! I love receiving emails when my kids have completed mastery checks on skills & when they level up! My kids also love getting "stars" and completing "cards" to receive rewards, from chapstick to Disney tickets (depending on how much they save up for). The fun environment is great! It's still quiet & kids are focused. There is strategy building and game play too. It is worth the money if you can afford it! I wish I had this when I was a kid!

Navigating the college application process felt overwhelming at first, especially with all the deadlines and paperwork. The team at Premier College Guidance made everything manageable and stress-free. They kept us on track with every deadline, sending reminders and offering expert advice on essays and applications. Trevors knowledge of the FAFSA process was extremely helpful! The process felt largely self-directed, with limited one-on-one guidance, little sense of investment in our daughter's individual journey, and no meaningful follow-up. Sessions were group-based, emails were bcc: ed amongst a large group of students, and when she needed personalized support, it often took several days to schedule meetings, with some emails going unanswered. All they did was glance at her PIQs and applications once. Given our level of investment, we expected much more personalized attention, involvement, and genuine interest in her success. What a major disappointment and waste of thousands of dollars!
