He was having issues with understanding a couple of important parts. According to my son, Dylan was patient in hearing him out, and then clearly explained the process of how to identify and work out the equations. My son said that Dylan was of great help. He took his test today with confidence as he could easily spot which problems were of "excluded" and "extraneous" values. Over the years Danny's has always connected us with enthusiastic and knowledgeable tutors. We've always appreciated his consistently affordable pricing, as it allows us to reach out for help whenever needed without hesitation. We highly recommend using his service.

Robert is the best tutor I have ever worked with in any class, subject, or test preparation course…read more I improved my ACT score from 24 to 30 in just a few sessions with him. He was willing to work at my pace, and set the precedent that if I was willing to complete all of my work between sessions, he would get me exactly where I wanted to go. His understanding of the reading section particularly made a huge difference for me. Robert got me to think about how the ACT wanted me to think about the questions, and changed my mentality completely. I ended up at my dream school, and have continued to employ many of the strategies he taught me in college. P.S. He's also an amazing guy who can get along with anyone, which makes training for standardized exams much more enjoyable for all of his students.

I would highly recommend him to anyone that needs help with the college application essays!

The teachers at Sylvan were wonderful, and this review is not a reflection of them. They genuinely…read morecared about our child and did a great job during the sessions. Unfortunately, the business practices completely overshadowed that positive experience. Scheduling was difficult from the start, with very limited availability for makeup sessions. When our credit card unexpectedly declined, Sylvan refused to release our child until we provided a new credit card on the spot. As a parent, that felt incredibly uncomfortable and inappropriate. The biggest issue came when we tried to reduce the number of sessions due to our family's summer travel schedule. We were given three different processes we supposedly needed to follow, which delayed everything by nearly two weeks. After following their instructions, we were then told we could only make the change if we agreed to pay a higher rate. It felt like every step was designed to prevent us from adjusting our plan rather than working with us. It's disappointing because the instructors are excellent, but the corporate policies and billing practices felt more focused on locking families into contracts than supporting children's learning. I've dealt with restrictive gym memberships that were easier to navigate than this. If you're considering Sylvan, I would strongly encourage you to read the enrollment agreement carefully and ask detailed questions about scheduling, billing, cancellations, and program changes before signing. The educational staff deserve praise, but the administrative experience left us feeling trapped rather than supported.

As a family living in Hawaii, finding quality reading intervention for our son felt nearly…read moreimpossible. He was diagnosed with dyslexia in 4th grade, and as his mom, I felt completely helpless because Hawaii simply doesn't have the specialized resources for intensive reading remediation that children with dyslexia need. We were referred to Merrill Educational Center by our neuropsychologist at Golden State Neuropsychology, and it was one of the best recommendations we've ever received. Even though we live out of state, Nicole and Lynne worked with us over Zoom, making it possible for our son to receive the instruction he desperately needed. They used the Lindamood-Bell Seeing Stars® program along with Direct Reading Therapy, and the progress has been incredible. Not only has our son's reading improved tremendously, but so has his confidence. Nicole and Lynne are knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and truly invested in the success of the children they work with. They took the time to understand our son's individual needs and supported our family every step of the way. If you have a child struggling with dyslexia or reading challenges, I cannot recommend Merrill Educational Center highly enough. We are incredibly grateful for everything they've done for our son, and he continues to thrive because of their guidance, expertise, and unwavering support.

We had the honor of having Nicole Dudley as our son's tutor for high school Algebra II Honors…read more Nicole is outstanding! We could not have asked for a more effective tutor. Nicole is not only an incredible teacher (she made very difficult concepts easy for our son to understand), she is so calm, patient and willing to go the extra mile to optimize our son's learning and comfort with the course material. Our son went from being very intimidated by a challenging course (to the point that he almost dropped the class) to being very confident with grasping the information and taking exams. His grade improved significantly under Nicole's guidance and we are forever grateful. We have had other tutors for him and we can honestly say that she is simply the best! She truly cares and is totally invested in helping her students reach success.

There is no magic time, it's what we have decided is right for our kids. We utilize the reading program. Our oldest son, Evan ultimately worked on math too. He was in kindergarten via Zoom and struggled a bit. His tutor, Will started helping with the math and then all was good!!! Evan is currently in 4th grade. Our oldest daughter, Grace loved coming and playing the games with Matt. Playing games is one of many ways Tutorific teaches kids. She still asks me to play the reading games with her from time to time. Grace currently in 1st grade. Our 4.5 year old, Joey reads with the owner, Matt twice a week. He's in preschool and can easily sound out 6 letter words. Joey reads over 400 words by sight. Tutorific has a reward system in place. You reach certain milestones and go to the "PRIZE WALL!" Joey adores the prize wall. A reward system really helps Joey stay on track. It's amazing having kids that can read at such a young age. Our baby, Olivia can be found playing with toys and running around the Tutorific lobby twice a week while big brother, Joey is strengthening his reading skills. She'll start in a few years! I took screenshots of facebook posts my wife or I have posted over the years. I have so many wonderful things to say, I don't know what to write. I decided sharing our personal posts written for our family and friends would give you the best bird's eye view of how much we love Tutorific. We are moms who have feel like Tutorific is more than a place to help kids with homework. They have helped our kids learn to read but more importantly they helped our kids LOVE reading. A gift that keeps on giving for a lifetime. Matt and his staff are absolutely amazing.

She's very proffesional, knowledgeable, helpful, nice, and easy to relate to. She can come to your house too which was nice ! She was so easy to get appts with, something that I found difficult to do with the local tutors in the area. I was on my wits end when I made a last call to her, sure that she would be unavailable or unreachable by phone like all the other tutors I had called that day. Luckily, she was available short notice and I made two tutoring appointments with her for a Statistics final and instantly felt better after each. She showed me how to input information in my graphing calculator to figure out problems and explained the material that confused me. She has taken the initiative to create study groups for my daughter with others in the same class needing the same levels of support. I love that! Besides being a great tutor, Megan is fair and honest. Several years ago I had her come to evaluate our daughter for tutoring on another subject. After spending an hour with our daughter, Megan said she could not see a reason for tutoring, just needed to focus more...show some gumption. At the time, that ended up being all she needed. Other tutors might have taken advantage of the situation and say tutoring was needed...feeding on vulnerability, but not Megan.
