My kids, one 2nd grader and one kinder, have been coming to Mathnasium for about 6 months now. We initially had only our 2nd grader enroll to help her with timed tests at school. She has improved so much with her tests and comprehends some of the word problems with much more ease now. She will be going into 3rd grade prepared and with more confidence. Our kindergartner started since his sister was going too. He also is learning to calculate bigger numbers quicker, as well as starting to learn how to tell time. We're happy that he will be more than prepared for 1st grade. All of the math coaches are very patient and pleasant with the kids. Bora w/Mathnasium Simi Valley is AMAZING!! My 7th grader HATED math until going to Mathnasium! Bora, and her staff are super sweet, patient, and they take the time to teach and master it! Repetition is vital with math and some schools/teachers move very quickly with no reps! With the shut down and everything kids have retained info differently! Math has been a challenge for my daughter, and she despised it! Since she's been going to Mathnasium her confidence has been building up so much, and she's enjoying math now! I never thought I'd hear those words coming from her mouth!! She's done 2 hours straight of math (which she wouldn't even like doing 5 min) and she says @ Mathnasium she can't believe how quickly the time goes by! I feel so blessed to have my daughter here, and so grateful for Bora and her staff!! Love this place, can't say enough about the staff especially Bora. My son had been struggling with most subjects but especially math since 2019 and in 2020-2021 with Covid it just became impossible. We came here as a final option after trying out another matheniasium and wow what a difference the place makes. They had to actually go back and teach his past two years of studies he missed and simultaneously help with the current homework, he hates tutoring but doesn't mind coming because the staff really engages with the students rather than just going over numbers so he doesn't complain too much about coming in. read more

Boralda has a gentle way of working with students. I had to drag my teen to Mathnasium as a last resort of a failing math grade at school. Surprisingly, my teen felt hopeful that school math would be improving just after the first session at Mathnasium. He always has an encouraging and positive experience at each Mathnasium session. His confidence in the classroom is going up and he's more likely to ask his school instructor questions. He is also willing to return to Mathnasium anytime he has math questions. He now maintains a B+ average in math and has a great attitude about tackling future math courses. Since I am not a math whiz, Mathnasium has given me relief, too. Thank goodness I found Ms. Bora and Mathnasium of Simi Valley! My son was struggling with decimal division and watching Kahn Academy didn't help. Luckily Ms. Bora was able to see us immediately for a Private Session. Our son worked with one of the outstanding Instructors and he was able to finish the homework that he had been struggling with. I went to this new math learning center next to Corner Bakery and the Studio Movie Grill in the Simi Mall for a free trial. I wasn't sure what to expect since my daughter didn't seem too excited to go. My daughter is 10. I have been looking to find something that allows her to not just get by in math but to fully understand what she is doing. I also want her to be really ready for middle school. The owner saw my daughter wasn't very excited so she offered 2 free trials to give it a real chance to click for her. As it turned out, she looooved it and asked if she could come back. She spent 1 hour doing math, and it seemed like she did not struggle learning new math concepts since she had an instructor helping her throughout the process and she didn't want to stop. I could tell that she had a sense of satisfaction when she was done. What's great is that there is flexible drop off. I can come anytime between 2:30-7pm.
