This has to be the best elementary school in Simi Valley. They focus not only on academics but also the arts. They have a strong ceramics program and the Great Works of Art program is phenomenal. Both are funded and run by the most involved PTA I have ever seen. The PTA goes above and beyond for each student. The commitment of these parents and the teachers is what sets this school apart from every other school in Simi Valley.

I worked here years ago and it was not my favorite place to work, but things have changed for the better and I am so happy to be a part of an amazing team of educators who truly want to see each child succeed. The office staff and is helpful and friendly. The Principal is on the playground daily and also welcomes families each morning in the parking lot. She is a hard worker and cares about what is happening at this school. I wanted to write this review to let people know that this is a good school and one I would send my own children to in a heartbeat!

Once got pantsed and mr k kept being werid and asking in a very sexual way for me to demonstrate how low my pants went, yes he wanted me to pull them down... this school is trash, trash everywhere, they watch you in the bathroom they'll literally watch you through the stall to make sure your not doing drugs. Pretty unorganized. I would rather teach a kid myself then send mine here.

It was different compared to the private school experience because not one person complained of the crowding. There was a feeling of comradery and friendship in the parents and their families who were willing to make the best of the overcrowded facility for the sake of the kids. The school did a fantastic job in their performance. and from what I hear have great teachers such as Mrs. Baird who teach the kids the life skills that will keep them organized and help them to achieve success early on so they are better prepared for junior high and beyond.

My son was one of the older and more skilled kids but he still got to work on his game and it helped get some of the rust off after a long lay off from basketball and traveling over the summer. My son also does the Shepherd Sports basketball camp but that has more kids and so less reps. I would highly recommend this camp if you want less kids and more reps.

The facilities (beautiful shaded playground, fun classrooms and swimming pool!), welcoming and caring staff and teachers, and enrichment programs (Spanish, physical education, music) were all such a blessing. My daughter started when she was 3.5 with Mrs. Silva and Ms. Riley. My daughter typically has a hard time with new environments but got comfortable with the school right away - she only cried at her first drop off and never again. She ended the year with so many friends and great relationship with her teachers - especially Ms. Riley. She also learned all her letters and numbers. This year, she has been in the pre-K program with Ms. Adele and Mrs. Zangri. It has been a great year so far with learning math, science and sparkle words! My son started in the infant room a year ago with Ms. Alexa and Mrs. Taiko. In the fall, he moved to the toddler room with Mrs. Claudia, Mrs. Ana and Ms. Krysten. All the teachers are so loving and I can tell how my son has bonded with them. I especially loved all the work the teachers put into the open house and other family activities like the Halloween parade, grandparents day, and holiday performance. They create a great sense of community by involving the parents in so much of what goes on at the school. I would highly highly recommend this daycare/pre-school to any family that is close enough.
