Great school, very satisfy with the staff here. I only wish that they will challenge the students academically more.

boy oh boy where do I fukin start. Ok first, I went for 3 years and now I'm in hs. This school was so wack. Teachers are butt let me call some out, Mrs French, Mr Adler (he's literally a pdf), Mrs Troy. Mr Adler once gave a kid CHOCOLATE WITH ALC IN IT. LIEK WHAT. A lot a lot of fights, probably 20-30 when I went. Once got pantsed and mr k kept being werid and asking in a very sexual way for me to demonstrate how low my pants went, yes he wanted me to pull them down... this school is trash, trash everywhere, they watch you in the bathroom they'll literally watch you through the stall to make sure your not doing drugs. Pretty unorganized. I would rather teach a kid myself then send mine here. read more

This school is disgusting, trash everywhere, even on orientation. The PE teachers(except the goat mr monney), Mr.adler, and the vice-principal Mr k are all pedfiles and Mr k literally once stared at a girls top part for like 3 minutes while talking with her, just mesmerized in disgusting lust. When I went here, I was bullied and got told by Mr k that I was at fault, and he tried to blame it on me so he didn't have to do any work into it. Their bathrooms are disgusting and half the stalls are always broken. I went to orientation for my little bro and there was a vape at the entrance, just chilling on the floor. Only positive is a sped kid pissed himself in the middle of dodgeball, that was cool. read more

Middle school is a particularly great time in any child's life but I'd say Valley View helps make it better than to be expected! Awesome staff! You'll find mean kids at every school but V V principals and staff do their best to take care of those issues! Again...you'll have good and bad teachers anywhere and V V has great teachers, counselor las and staff! I have had 4 children go to V V!! read more

Valley View is just an average middle school. They make an effort to try to keep the students engaged but usually this ends up falling flat because I'm not entirely sure the people at the school understand exactly what it is that their students find 'rewarding'. Fortunately, this school year they improved their awards program for students who have achieved a G.P.A. above a certain point (known as Renaissance). In the previous year they just brought us to the auditorium and made us sit and watch people come up to get glorified pieces of paper (so pretty much the exact same to any other awards ceremony, but I personally don't find many awards ceremonies rewarding at all). This year they brought us to the gym and gave us some food (every teenagers weakness), played some music, and hosted some games. A big improvement in my opinion. While a couple of teachers are exceptionally great, and a few are exceptionally frustrating, most of them are simply average. They teach, we learn (well, I suppose that depends on the student), we take a test, we do some projects, and suddenly it's the end of the year. I will also add that their Elective classes are especially hit and miss. Finally, I will end with a couple of statements on other faculty (yard duties, the councilors, etc). Most of them are okay, but there are a few that are less than okay. While I am not permitted to use strong or 'hurtful' wording (I'm doing this for an assignment, and I was told to be honest) I will say that such specific people are particularly hard to deal with. One of them appears to have no other volume than yelling at the top of their lungs, making them difficult to talk to. A word to the wise, yelling only makes the situation worse. While at this school I rate it a solid 5 because all the teachers and staff.The faculty really works on keeping this a clean and a bully free place.They have no tolerance for disrespect and give second chances to all students.Meanwhile the students are all generally nice and respectful towards each other and staff.This is due to simple manners expected by all staff from students.Lastly this school has good food options and have many club choices to choose from.This includes programs such as cooking, choir, band,orchestra, chess and many others in a wide range of interests.In conclusion this school is my number one choice for a middle school generally due to the amazing staff and programs.I suggest you and your child to check us out and see it for yourself. read more

I am currently learning at Valley View middle school. I have learned at this school since seventh grade and I am about to finish my second year in eighth grade. In those two school years, I have generally had a great experience at this school. There is nothing bad about this school in particular, but I can assume several students have disrespected the school property. For example, there are several marks on the ground from gum that students spit out. Also, some students have recently been vandalizing the chrome books that are given out to each class for students to use individually. In this case, some of the magnets that help keep the chrome book closed have been removed. Other than that, I appreciate the methods the school uses to make the students more interested in a certain topic. For example, Valley View recently set up a Civil War day. From my perspective, the activity felt more engaging and probably made other students more eager to learn. If I could recommend one thing to Valley View middle school, I would recommend more learning activities like the Civil War day. This will make the students feel more excited about learning and will create a better environment for everyone. I would highly recommend Valley View middle school for any student in Simi Valley. read more
