I came out with a great fitting bra and even though they only had a quick couple seconds for me to explain what I was looking for and what my bra size and shape was (I had previously been professionally fitted), they were still able to pick out almost exactly what I was looking for and identified some great fits for my chest shape! I went in for a fitting, and what a lovely experience it was! I've gone years without knowing my true bra size, and trying to figure it out on my own as someone who is plus-sized and outside of the typical A-D range has often left me in tears. The woman who helped me (I'm terrible at remembering names- if I figure it out, I'll edit it in later!) was very knowledgable and not only showed me what my size is, but also shared lots of tips and information about how a bra should feel and what to look for in different styles. I feel like my world has been opened up! I understand so much more! Yes, the bras are pricey- mostly between $150 and $200- but they are very good quality, and you are under no obligation to make a purchase as the fitting sessions are free. I did not feel pressured or rushed at all to buy anything, but did anyway and feel thrilled with my purchase because it is BEAUTIFUL and well-made; and I'm happy to support such a great small business. I am really not typically one to spend that kind of money on something like this, but I feel confident in my purchase as a valuable treat for myself-- and felt that positively about my experience that I wanted to support! They have lots of stunning pieces in all kinds of styles-- she brought me bras to try on based on my preferences, but also let me look for myself and offered to order a variation when I wanted a different color they didn't have at the moment. The options for those of us who are bustier can be so limiting at other stores, but the choices are incredible here! The ambience was lovely too! You ring a bell to get buzzed in, which I think is nice for an added sense of safety when this kind of shopping can feel vulnerable. The fitting room in the back has a very intimate and calming vibe-- pink walls, gentle jazz music, calm lighting, spacious stalls. Definitely feels luxurious and safe. I think this matters a lot for those of us who have primarily bad associations with fitting rooms: bright department store lights beaming down in a tiny stuffy room don't make the stress of staring at yourself in the mirror and pressure to figure out if it fits right and make a decision much easier. In contrast, this felt so calming and supportive. Plus, I'm a very slow and deliberate shopper. I like to really take my time looking at things and assessing how I feel about them; and there was no rush here! I was able to ask plenty of times for feedback on how certain things fit, and the feedback felt very honest and helpful. Would definitely recommend! I'm so happy this exists! read more

Firstly, this is completely logical, but the owner of the shop was in one of our favorite films. She played Vazquez in ALIENS. Secondly, she has a great selection of bras. Unfortunately, they are not my style. Any woman that has large breasts may find something suitable here. The prices are not outrageous at all. This has nothing to do with this particular Shop but we don't understand why the new/old trend is for women to all be sex kittens. We hate that stuff.When I. buy clothes I just wanna be comfortable. Not every woman loves the color pink, and not every woman wants to wear some bra that has itchy lace on it when it's really not lace it's some synthetic material. We're not saying that this shop does that at all. It's incredibly hard to buy a bra and if you don't wear one, no matter how old and crappy you are, you will get stares from men and worse. I like wearing my nephew's old clothes because he was a boy and still is. The incredible difference between men and women's clothes is that women's clothes are made very sloppy unless of course you're into spending $1000 on something men's clothes and boys clothes are manufactured to a higher standard. You can actually wash young man's shirt and it won't disintegrate in the washing machine or the dryer. We never bought anything from her shop because there was nothing that suited us. I stopped by to drop off some bras for recycling. The woman who works here asked if I was going to shop, so I asked about a bra for lounging. She said they didn't have much, but she would try finding something. She brought one bra that didn't work for me and said that was all she had for me. Fine, I get that. But then she brought one more item... a compression tank top. Really? I wasn't looking to compress my already small breasts. Why, oh why, would you bring a compression tank top to a woman who just told you they had a difficult time finding bras that fit properly? I was told by a few people to write my experience here to help out future customers. I love the premise of Jenette bras. I've been in twice. I've purchased a swimsuit, a bra, and a sports bra. I don't live in Los Angeles but when I've been I've tried to stop in and support this business. The fitters are awesome and I have zero complaints with them or with the merchandise or anything else. Overall a helpful and pleasant experience. My issue is with the return policy. I purchased a bra for $200. I hate spending that much but I get it. It's a high quality item. It's speciality. Whatever. A few days later I tried it on again, tags still on. It was uncomfortable. Itchy. I'll flattering. I did a complete 180 on it- which is my fault! But then I called, inquiring about an exchange or refund and was met with a flat no, and zero understanding or any willingness to make something work. Just told "this is an undergarment". I get this is a small business but it really irks me. A lot of stores let you rerun or exchange bras. They want you to love the item. This was very disappointing. Just an fyi to future shoppers. Went here for a bra fitting, and although I didn't find one in a style I liked, I had a good experience with their bra fitting and getting a sense of my size and styles that work best on my body. Dana was kind and helpful in providing a good selection of bras to try on and a second pair of eyes to ensure what is a good fit. The ones I tried on were in the lower price range at $90-130. I've been coming here for bras for about 5-6 years now, and it is legit the BEST bra-shopping experience I have ever had in my life. The fitters are so friendly and chatty you forget that you are standing there without a shirt on, and they take as much time as you need to find a good fit - not just in cup and band, but also style. I have never once seen a tape measure in their store, yet I still always end up with the best fitting bras I have ever worn. These ladies know fit like no other. Other awesome things: They keep a record of previous purchases which is helpful as my cup size fluctuates a bit so they know how it has changed over the years. If a color you want is not available, they can check if other stores have it, or order it for you (takes a couple weeks, but still a nice option). They support Black Lives Matter and anti-racism and are vocal in that support, which is a HUGE positive in my book. Overall, I cannot possibly recommend this place enough for ANYone with larger breasts looking for an actual supportive garment that fits well. read more

WOW. I went into Jenette Bras after seeing a recommendation on TikTok. The most comparable experience I've ever had was while wedding dress shopping. I am not someone who loves the way I look in most clothes. Usually when I go shopping, I spend 2-3 hours in the fitting room and try on 15-20 things. I feel lucky if I find 2-3 things I like. I ended up with 10+ bras that I fell in love with after 45 minutes of being in the fitting room. The customer service was immaculate. I felt so safe and comfortable getting fitted. I have been wanting to visit Jenette Bras for some time and finally made it to their Santa Monica location. I had always tried to hide my large breasts and then a mastectomy a few years ago left me even more embarrassed about how that area looked. All I can say is I am sorry I waited so long. Sharon, who helped me out, and the experience itself, was great. The store is understated so you don't feel overwhelmed or in your face by the lingerie. There are no measuring tapes or uncomfortable fittings. And most important, the products are beautiful. Good place for bigger chested ladies (I'm a 38F), but I didn't enjoy the shopping experience very much. I like to browse and there's no browsing here. Shopping attendant brings you things to try that they select based on what you tell them. A really stressful experience for me because a) I never know what I want until I see it; and b) I have a hard time describing what I want. I'm a natural browser, so maybe this just wasn't the best buying experience for me. While I LOVE my bathing suit I purchased and true to the store's claim - it is SUPER flattering!! - I am not too impressed with the sports bra I purchased. $150 and within the first wear, I notice it cuts into my shoulders and doesn't really "keep the girls in." These are major priorities for big chested ladies and it would have been nice to get a functional sports bra for this price. Speaking of, also be aware that these items are all very pricey - be prepared to drop ~$200 for a bathing suit and ~$150 per bra. Some worth it, but honestly, Fantasie and other brands for big-chested women can be found online for cheaper. Overall, a good shop but not sure worth the trip for another visit. read more

I walked in, the fitter (hi!) took one look at me and immediately knew my size - she came back with 5 perfect bras for me to try. I bought 2, but now wish I'd bought them all - the ones I bought are the best-fitting bras I've ever owned (and I have bursitis in one shoulder, so I was worried about straps - I need not have worried!). So bummed that I live so far away, but I guess it stops me from spending all my income on lingerie...Seriously, I've never had such lovely bras that fit so well until now. A friend recommended this place to me and I'm so grateful she did. I am currently seven months postpartum and about to stop breastfeeding. I had not realized how large my breasts had gotten during pregnancy and postpartum. I realized I needed new bras as I'm getting back into the groove of things and feeling more like my "old" self again. The nursing bras and old sports bras that I've been wearing around the house just aren't going to cut it anymore. I made a fitting appointment online and was greeted by the nicest bra specialist when I arrived at the brick and mortar store. I wish I got the name of the woman that helped me - she was blonde with glasses. She was helpful and genuinely nice! She eyed my rib-cage and accurately guessed I was a 34-36G! Not sure how she did it without a measuring tape, but I was impressed nonetheless. These bras fit like a glove. More importantly, they do an excellent job in supporting my heavy, lactating boobies. Wonderful boutique lingerie experience. The consultants were delightful and knowledgeable. I was relieved I had been wearing the right bra size. While they presented a number of bras, nothing really made me "fall in love" (which at these prices, I need to be in love!). Knowing that I have the right size made me feel good about the bras I have for now, which are also good quality. When they lose their oomph I would consider investing in one or two at this salon. More variety in styles and price points would be ideal. The game changer here for me were the sports bras- wow!! I have always felt my calisthenic performance was held back because my breast pain during high impact exercise. The consultant fit me into two amazing sports bras that I test-jumped in when I tried them on- I was so happy!! The consultant fitted me two cups larger in sports bras, I would have never thought of that on my own. Thats the great thing about expertise! Went yesterday. Was not what I had expected. The place is nice. The girl was nice, but I don't feel like I was 'fitted" at all. I was asked what size I'm wearing and I advised I had lost weight and needed smaller. I was basically just left in the dressing room to try on a bunch of bras to decide what I thought fitted me. They only had 1 strapless bra and no convertible bras in my size which is what I was looking for. Left in under 20 mins without anything. It was a waste of my time. Jennette Bras is a GREAT place to get the bra of your dreams! Two months ago, I took my cousin in to get her first ever bra fitting, and finally, a bra that actually fit her. It turns out that she was too shy to be honest about the fit of the bra we chose and that it was too tight--so much so that she'd only ever worn it on the ride home! In the mean time, I went on an extended trip and Susie had cancer surgery, hence the delay in our returning to the store. When I finally realized my cousin wasn't wearing the bra, I made arrangements to come to see if we could exchange it for one that fit. The manager (May?) was understanding and great re our conundrum. My cousin found a bra that was comfortable to her (even though it didn't "fit" according to Jenette's exacting standards). She reported yesterday that she was wearing the new bra (!), even though she was just resting at home in reparatio for the chemo portion of her treatment. This is not the place for you if you've done fine all your life buying bras off the rack in department stores. But if you appreciate the importance of foundation garments, or have a particular outfit that requires some foundational support in order for you to maximize its effect, or, if you don't do well with bras bought off the rack -- make an appointment for a fitting at Jenette. It's a low-key experience-- no hard-sell, no body assessment, no wise-cracks. The staff only wants to sell you products that fit you perfectly, and that you truly like. Their inventory is top-of-the-line, which means the merchandise is not cheap. As I say, if you do perfectly well with brands you buy at a big box store, then a visit to Jenette will feel like overkill. But if you make investments in how you look, and if you have invested in wardrobe that will be enhanced by undies that help you make an entrance, or if you have never owned a bra that fits properly and are ready to stop "making do" -- then a visit to Jenette is a worthy investment of your time, trust and treasure. It's a worthy investment in your SELF, your self-esteem, and your peace of mind. For the best experience, make an appointment in advance, and go to your appointments wearing clothes and underwear that are easy to take off and put back on, and that you won't mind having on while you're being look at (they LOOK at you hard -- not to judge, but to get the sizing right. It's pretty. The bras are fashion forward and the service is nice. But trying to put plus size me into a bra 4 sizes too small tells me you know nothing about visual sizing. Hell, neither do I, but I do not tout it as my thing. And claiming to cater to large breasted women, but leaving out your plus size women, is kind of heartless. I was so excited to see a place that had my cup size, but then to be brought, and repeatedly, too small bras was an ego deflator. Then... then!! ... to be told spillage happens under the arms! Alison was very knowledgeable which was great since my size is all over the map depending on the brand. Sure, the bras are pricey but when you need support without the straps digging into your shoulders it is worth it. Also, as a busty girl it is nice to have a bra that is pretty, supportive and comfortable. A word to the wise... Do not fight the salesgirl if she tells you need to go up a few cup sizes. She knows what she is talking about. Besides, the whole reason you are looking for a better bra is because your VS bra has let you down once again. I've tried so many places, and not only is this the only store to have my size, but they had a selection that was astounding. The customer service was phenomenal, and the woman helping me, Alexa, did everything she could to be as helpful and accommodating as possible. The decor is comfortable, both visually and literally, and this place is clearly doing this for a reason more to do with feminism and less to do with a profit, what with books like "Snapshots of Dangerous Women" and all their strapless bra profits going to help Foster Girls. So I had no idea how wildly wrong I was in my choice of bra size for her. We came to Jenette Bras for help on a quiet, rainy afternoon. Sharon found bras that fit my daughter pretty much immediately. (Yup, no measuring tape, like cooks who don't need a measuring cup!) The difference in bra fit was night and day!!! Like a major makeover show in terms of fit, support, even appearance. I was off in sizing by orders of magnitude, lol! And I was trying hard! Sharon explained the basics of bra engineering to me. She was kind and gentle, and I never once felt "lectured or wrong" in any way. More importantly, my daughter who can get shy / high boundaries (which I think is great in general) had no problem with Sharon's expert eye for detail. Sharon also helped coach her about bra care and maintenance which would have fallen on deaf ears had it come from me. Again, in the gentlest tones. They understood intuitively that this fitting is for a very young person who does not need anything scandalous looking, and likely doesn't need a fancier $200- $250 bra. I needed bras that fit, we're comfortable, and offered some oomph so decided to go to a bra store for some help, rather than the usual trip to a self-serve department store. I made an appt for a fitting, but didn't know before I got there that Jeannette's catered to D cups and up--which I am not. It would have been helpful to have mentioned that to me on the phone when I called. I had read online that their bras were pricey. Pricey to me means $60-80 for a bra. No. These brass average $149-$169. EACH! And because their "alphabet begins with D" their supply was limited in my size. But I wound up buying one bra--mostly because Alyssa tried so hard to find something to fit me. The one I bought was the only one that "mostly fit" ( there was a tiny bit of extra fabric in the cup.) I won't go back because the bras are ridiculously expensive and because of the lack of selection in my size, but if you wear a D or above and have a large budget for bras, you should go. They have a large selection of pretty (and unusual) bras you won't find in a department store. read more

I appreciate how clean, cute, and useful this boutique is. It's wonderful finding a place that carries a larger size bra. However, for the price you pay for these bras, I would expect good service and good quality, but I have never gotten either. I used to frequent this place, but after my last experience I think I will buy bras online. The first time I went, I was just so happy to find out my true bra size. Victoria's secret had been sticking me in a 36 DD, but at Jenettes I found out I was actually a 32 F! I bought one bra for over $100 and while it fit and supported me well, one of the little black bows fell off in about 2 weeks. Later I went back and after specifically requesting a nude T-shirt bra, the lady helping me only brought me salmon pink lace bras. I ended up buckling in and buying one of those bras for around $180. This bra then RIPPED after a few weeks, even though I cared for it according to their manual and bought their special detergent for washing bras. After that I decided to stop frequenting as often. For bras that expensive, you expect quality. After a year I recently returned to check my size and maybe give their bras another try (since they ARE incredibly cute). However as soon as I walk in, the lady treats me strangely and acts like it's incredulous that I would even think about trying on bras 30 minutes before they close (I'm sorry I have a job, and that I can't take a break from that job to come shop at your store? ). She rushes me through the fitting, even though the lady next to me is still trying on bras after I leave. I don't know why I didn't just walk out the moment she expressed her displeasure at having to help a customer so late in the day. read more

I know nothing about bras, and I had basically given up on idea of ever finding a properly fitting and comfortable underwire bra. I had literally been wearing cheap sports bras since 2020. I see a lot of mixed reviews here so I'm assuming it's all chalked up to personal preference. Personally, I loved my experience at Jeanette's and can't wait to come back. I went in for a modest swimsuit that I could wear around the family and left with not only that, but the best fitting suit I've ever worn. It is pricey, but I would rather pay more for something that will last, fit me correctly, and make me feel good about myself. The lady who assisted me eyeballed my size and brought me a bra to try on and then confirmed my range. I asked her what size the bra was and she said 34F but that depending on the brand that will change. I thought that was great to know and it seems obvious but it never occurred to me. She brought me about 10 swimsuits to start and frequently checked in on me to see how things were fitting. She was very professional and knowledgeable and is one of the reasons I can't wait to come back for a bra.
