I'd like to preface this review by sharing that I've been a big fan of Jenette Bras for many years and have patronized different locations. The service and quality of product is unmatched. I visited this location for the first time yesterday and I want to be clear that the woman helping me was excellent so this review has nothing to do with her. Unfortunately, I felt quite uncomfortable with the behavior of her colleague. As I was trying on bras, that employee was staring at me and it wasn't a friendly stare whatsoever. I was being watched in a way that I felt was inappropriate and unnerving. I don't know what her issue was but I was nothing but friendly and courteous to everyone during my visit. Perhaps this employee needs more training on how to treat customers that don't look like her. Maybe I'm not the demographic she's used to seeing but that's no excuse. In short, I hope this is addressed as I would like to return and feel comfortable trying on bras without receiving passive aggressive attention from anyone that works there. read more

This review is based on my visit a few months ago. I found the store quite limited in both brands and options. The fitting support was not up to expectations -- I went in with my mother, and there was no assistance offered to help her with the fitting. Fortunately, I was there to assist her myself. The prices also seemed higher than expected. Having been to other fitting shops before, I found this experience to be quite subpar. I really just wanted to say thank you for the kindness and patience that Jennii, Marlene, and Ryan demonstrated during my experience here! I initially picked out a bra that ended up having a manufacturing defect but Marlene and Jennii were kind enough to offer to repair the bra, as an exact replacement was not available, or to exchange it for a different bra. An exchange and a try on later, I decided to just keep the repaired bra, as it was the one I still liked the best (and was now professionally reinforced)! I can't thank the three of them enough for their patience, kindness and professionalism. They made me feel comfortable throughout my visits and never pressured me into anything. I also would like to say that I think the slightly higher prices here are worth it because I was suggested to try on bras that I would not have considered otherwise that made me feel very supported, especially after having a baby a year ago. Visited Jenette Bras a few months ago to find good strapless, sport, and everyday bras. I was very pleased with the products and service I received--the store has a great selection and the employees were very friendly and helpful. However, after finding one of the bras I purchased at Jenette online for significantly less than what I paid, I looked into it and saw that each bra I purchased had been marked up about 25% from retail price. I realize that you are also paying for the nice boutique experience and am sympathetic to the costs of running a small business, but at the same time, the money saved could have bought me an additional bra! Bra shopping for larger sizes is already more expensive. It's just frustrating to know I once again paid more than what a "standard size" woman might pay. However, if you need the help finding your sizing or trying on new styles, I do recommend this shop. read more

I found out about Jenette Bras from a friend and scheduled myself an appointment. None of my bras fit after the pandemic (ugh) so I wanted to treat myself to one nice bra for my birthday (SUCH an adult thing to say). My fitter was great - she really listened to what I was looking for and was determined to find me the perfect fit. Just a heads up for anyone new - they cater to bigger boobs. The process is that you make an appointment, show up, and your fitter "eyeballs" you in your current bra. She then brings you a bunch of things in various sizing based on what you're looking for and your shape, and you try everything on and start narrowing down. She'll check the fit on everything as you go. They keep a "wish list" for you with your sizes and everything on record, which is great. These are expensive bras compared to what I'm used to buying, but I feel sexy (and comfortable) when I wear them which is a win for me! read more

My favorite and only place I will go to get bras. Incredible 1:1 service and still amazes me that they can look at you and size with their eyes! Forget Victorias Secret, department stores' lingerie depts or any of the D2C e-commerce sites (Lively, ThirdLove, Cuup, Harper Wilde, etc) the exact fits and service is unparalleled. More expensive than any of the aforementioned brands but you get what you pay for. Could not recommend more and worth every penny. read more

First things first. I'm a gender nonconforming guy. I was shopping there for myself. The sign said walk-ins welcome, and with 'What Katie Did's storefront still closed since the pandemic, I figured I'd check them out. There were no other customers there. It had been a while since I'd been made to feel so totally unwelcome. I felt like I was one wrong move from being shooed out the door with a broom. I ended up buying something, and while I do like what I bought in terms of style/quality(hence the 2 stars instead of 1), I partially bought it in an attempt to demonstrate that I was actually trying to be a customer despite the stares and awkward silences the staff met me with. I know I'm not necessarily their target demographic. but still. Going to a lingerie store is already a very intimate and vulnerable activity, and no matter what your gender/sex/presentation, all should feel safe and welcome. Maybe they're nicer if you're more feminine-presenting, idk. If you want to feel cherished, wait for WKD to open up again. I really miss them! read more

I have to say, this is my first time ever writing a yelp review. I've always felt nervous about posting an opinion publicly. I had to get over that because everyone deserves to know how INCREDIBLE this place is. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! For context, I have only ever been fitted for a bra at VS in my early 20s. That was before the pandemic and before my body changed (my breasts and most other things got way bigger lol). After navigating my changing body, I was too scared/nervous to go get fitted and come face to face with a new size and me. As soon as I walked in here, the ladies at the front were so kind and welcoming. Sasha (apologies if I've got your name wrong!) set out to helping me, with the kindest energy. I swear she's got magic powers because she sized me correctly with barely a glance. She took me on a tour of bra styles and listened to me so intently. She taught me what a properly fitting bra should feel like! One bra in particular was like absolute magic. I have not had a moment of joy in my body like that in years. Sasha, you gave me a huge gift today. My endless thanks! If I've gotten your name wrong that's simply because I walked out on a high of joy and my brain wasn't working! :) As for value, I'm not going to lie, these are pricey. Went today to get a few new bras. I wasn't really sure what my size is and (without measuring tape!) Charisse found me three great bras that not only fit amazingly but are comfortable. Interestingly, they are ALL a different size, meaning that it is almost impossible to fit yourself as it seems each brand and even different styles in a brand fit completely differently. I worked with Charisse yesterday who helped me find a bra that fits better than any bra I've ever owned. It is in a size and style that I never would have tried on if she hadn't been helping me. She just looked at me and it was the second bra she had me try on. It's also beautiful. Today, I called to order more. She also helped me find an exercise bra (again in a style and size I never would have tried without her help). And I'm very happy with that purchase as well. I'm so glad I went and had a fitting. I actually gave up several years ago and just resigned myself to wearing the wrong size bra with spacers in the back, so that at least my back didn't hurt. Some people splurge on bags and shoes. I choose bras, namely those from Jenette Bras. Since sobriety, the pandemic and menopause, my breasts have changed = gotten bigger. I have visited the Burbank shop each time and each time, worked with different fitters. They are all friendly and make the experience enjoyable. My last visit a few weeks ago, I really splurged and purchased two bras after getting great assistance from Arnetta (apologies if I have the name incorrect). I don't think I've ever worn the correct bra size. I've gone to Victoria's Secret many times over the years and bought items that were pretty and fit decently enough, because that's what I thought I was supposed to do, but I know now that this wasn't working for me. I've recently decided to put more of an investment in all my clothing, both because I've gained weight as a result of covid and also because I'm approaching my 30s so I deserve a closet that works for me. Undergarments are no different, so I did a Yelp search and found Jenette Bras in Burbank. The idea is that you come in for a fitting, find items you like that fit you well, and create a relationship with the store as you continue to come back. I'm making a larger effort to support local, responsibly-run businesses whenever possible, and my research yielded some promising information. Employees are paid a living wage, are given insurance/PTO/401(k) match, and are all required to be vaccinated. The owner Jenette is very particular about the fashion houses they stock, too, with an emphasis on folks with larger cup/band sizes. This all really resonates with me, so I made an appointment online. It's easy to schedule, and they send reminders too, with the option to reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment. The shop is located on Magnolia in Burbank, just down the street from Porto's. The exterior storefront is bright pink, and there's plenty of street parking both on Magnolia and the side street as well. The store itself is tidy, well-organized, and welcoming--but it's not really a store for browsing, which is much different than the big box lingerie stores I'm used. This is intentional, given their business model of maintaining a relationship with their customers. It was actually also far less overwhelming--I didn't have decision fatigue from staring at hundreds of garments on the walls and it allowed me to focus on whatever was brought to me. My appointment was on a Sunday morning, and I was lucky to be the only person in the store besides Charisse, who helped me out for the duration of my appointment. She was incredibly warm, friendly, and knowledgeable about how to best assist me. I haven't had a fitting in a long time, and my closet was filled with old bras that managed to somehow fit too big and too small. I wore my least awful one to this fitting just as a frame of reference for how desperately I needed help, and Charisse was so sweet and understanding. The entire appointment was incredibly low-pressure, as Charisse was committed to finding a good fit for me instead of just making a sale. If something didn't fit right but I liked it, she was able to quickly identify where I needed to change my sizing (band, cup, or both) and we'd reassess after if it was better. I felt incredibly safe and comfortable working with her, knowing that she cared about working with me instead of just moving on to the next customer. She also gave honest opinions on whether or not something looked good on me, and was able to pivot accordingly. I left with a lot more than I expected, but not because I was pressured into buying anything at all; instead it was because she really understood what I was going for and gave me the option to pick whatever I wanted to buy. My first visit was to the Pasadena location, which was a nice experience, but I was thrilled to hear they were opening a Burbank spot closer to me. Visiting Jenettes was the first time in my life I felt comfortable visiting a bra shop, asking questions, and walking away with bras I could feel great in and feel excited about. My band/cup size isn't typical, and hard to find at most stores. I'm also terribly anxious about asking for help in most department stores, so having this space where I don't feel embarrassed or awkwardly walk away with the wrong size is amazing. I went to visit on their opening day and had a wonderful time chatting with everyone working, and found a cute new bra too. After COVID started, I decided to save up and finally took the time to make another appointment. I was able to schedule an appointment easily the night before, and popped in and had a great time with help from Alexa. I felt safe, everything was super clean, and the socially distant conversation made me feel super welcomed and comfortable. I also have to say, I appreciate the wide selection in price offerings. She proceeded to fit me with three bras that were were orders of magnitude more comfortable and supportive than any bras I've been currently wearing. The fact that she's a consummate pro who can eyeball the perfect size just adds frosting to the cake. I was just SO sick of my ill-fitting department store bras and my miserable bra-shopping trips over the years. Needless to say, I'm a very happy camper with my new bras. For those of you who complain about the high price of fine bras, let me say that it's no different than shopping for perfect fitting shoes with orthotics, or any other custom tailored garment. I'll start by saying that I've always gotten my bras from Victoria's Secret or Marshall's, which is probably the reason why I hate wearing bras in the first place. I was going to an event and needed a strapless bra for my dress, but nothing I tried on elsewhere could support my chest comfortably, so I stopped by Jeanette's to see if they had any options for me. As soon as I walked in, I was given such attentive and considerate service. I explained what I was looking for and that I had never been properly sized, and was immediately taken to the back to see what could work for me. My attendants name was Candice (I could be wrong as it's been a few weeks), and she sized me PERFECTLY without taking ANY measurements. She made me feel so comfortable and welcome, and found what exactly what I was looking for while also showing me other styles for every-day that would support my chest and back. She's so kind, personable, and professional. Now, this place is a bit pricey and there are no returns, so we spent SO much time making sure I found the perfect fit. I was doing jumping jacks, bending over, shimmy-ya shimmy-yaying all around the dressing room and this thing didn't budge. Every time I put this bra on, it's like 15 pounds have disappeared off my chest. The relief is REAL. My mindset about bras has totally changed, and I'll be returning soon.
