Case in point: I recently noticed they started carrying high-end designer cosmetics, including a luxury foundation that normally retails for $70+ but was selling for just $19.99! Definitely a steal--or so I thought. Understandably, the cosmetics were kept in a locked glass display. After notifying the cashier and waiting quite a while for assistance, an employee finally approached me. I simply asked to see the foundation box, but he immediately insisted that everything was brand new and that I couldn't open or test anything. Here's the thing: **I wasn't asking to swatch or test the product!** I know this isn't Sephora. I just wanted to check the batch code to determine how old the foundation was. He reluctantly retrieved the box but wouldn't even let me hold it. He offered to look for an expiration date, and I had to explain that many cosmetics use batch codes rather than printed expiration dates. Eventually, he allowed me to photograph the box. After researching the batch code, I discovered the foundation was approximately **19 months old**. Even more concerning, the display product appeared to be separating or coagulating. I'm certainly glad I checked instead of simply taking his word that it was "brand new." To be fair, older stock doesn't automatically mean a product is expired, but age and storage conditions matter, especially with liquid cosmetics. **My takeaway:** Lot-Less is absolutely worth visiting for bargain hunting, and I'll continue shopping there. Just do your homework before purchasing beauty products or perishables, especially when the prices seem too good to be true. And as for customer service? Let's just say it's probably best to shop here when you don't need assistance. Great bargains, but the customer service could definitely use some improvement!
