I am not an enthusiastic dental patient. I'm working on the anxiety. However, Dr. Yamashiro's office takes that anxiety away for two reasons firstly his staff, receptionist in particular has the best most amazing attitude. Super friendly. Super understanding. Then his assistant. Perfect dentist side manor. The Dr? Amazing too. Gentle. Professional. Knows his business. Plus he has an amazing Lego collection. I'm low key a Lego inspired patient read more

Since 2022, Dr Yamashiro has been my dentist for my routine dental cleaning every 6 months. The receptionist and staff here are very nice. Last December, my #3 big molar chipped off and needed a crown. Dr. Yamashiro was so gentle with his anesthesia injection that I didnt really feel any "pinch". Throughout the prepping the old molar for the new crown and fitting the new crown, Dr Yamashiro would mention verbally what he was doing to keep me informed. He practices very gentle and courteous bedside manners. Pricing wise, Dr Yamashiro was very reasonable. Overall I am 110% satisfied when the final crown was fitted in. Thank you so very much to all of you at the DDS clinic. read more

Dr. Yamashiro has been my dentist for the past 6+ years on the recommendation of my co-worker when I moved to this area. His staff are very friendly and attentive. The office, though dated, is very clean and well kept. Dr. Yamashiro himself explains exactly what's going to happen before he does it, and I appreciate that he asks you to open your mouth and close it regularly as he is doing his thing. Like with all dentists I've had who will pester you to death about the importance of brushing your teeth, flossing, and the like, Dr. Yamashiro is no different. He does really seem like he cares about his patients. Parking can be found at the back of the plaza, and his office is on the 2nd floor of this building. As for COVID-19 preventative measures, the workflow here is well done and I felt safe the entire time. (which protects them as well). I look forward to eventually having my children (once grown) have him as their dentist in the near future. read more

Like this office. Dr. Y is very nice and professional (although he doesn't talk much). He explains everything. His staff is very nice (especially Adriana at the front). She is always willing/happy to assist.I like the fact that there's no long wait and they have Saturday appointments. I highly recommend this Dental office. read more

I have been going here for Many years and I love it here. I love That there is no waiting time and they do not waste my time. I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist and they really do make me feel at home. Front desk staff is friendly and so is every one else there. They always make friendly conversation and don't make me have anxiety. Any procedures is talked about, options given and they really work with you. read more

My husband and I both go here but I think i'll start looking for a new one. The front desk person and the assistant lady are both very nice and sweet, but the doctor is not. He always seems grumpy (maybe that's how he always looks), doesn't make any causal conversation. I always feel uncomfortable whenever I go there because he talks about how bad I floss almost like he accuses me! I know I have to floss better but don't be so aggressive about it. Moreover, my husband had his cavity treatment twice but both times the filling came off after few weeks. When he had to go back for his filling came off, he didn't even apology or ask how it happened. He just fixed it and charged again! I've never had that issue with other dentists in other states. Let's be honest, no one likes dentist but we all have to but you don't wanna go places where they make you feel accused or messes up the filling and go back again. I'm giving some stars because of the front desk lady and the assistant lady. They are so sweet. read more

I know this sounds crazy...but I can honestly say that I like going to the dentist lol Dr. Yamashiro and his staff are so extremely sweet and professional. They make you feel welcome and are extremely friendly and helpful. Dr. Yamashiro himself is also very knowledgeable and nice! I live in koreatown but will make the drive out here just to see Dr. Yamashiro and his staff. I highly recommend coming to see Dr. Yamashiro! read more

I went in late on my appointment, instead of rescheduling, the dentist rushed thru and poked my lips, and his hands was shaky. Let's face the truth, this profession has age limit, once you're too old to see or hold things steady, it's time to retired. He did a crown on my teeth, and it was done wrong, there has been ongoing infections. I don't give a 2nd chance on incompetency, we're talking about human body, any harm done is irreversible. read more

I've been seeing Dr. Yamashiro for as long as I can remember. It's hard to say you enjoy going to the dentist no matter who it is, but you can almost say that for Dr. Yamashiro. The ladies are all very sweet and remember my name, and visits are a breeze with little waiting. He is super polite at all times, even saying "open, please. close, please" during examinations. He always makes a point to be very personable in remembering what I am up to with school and life(in a polite, not creepy way). Overall the experience at Dr. Yamashiro's office is so much better than any dentist/doctor I've experienced and I'd highly recommend him. Unless it's changed, he also has a game room for kids which was SO much fun for me when I was little. I remember there being an old nintendo console and books. Great for kids. read more

Worst dentist. He cut my mouth and lips during flossing not just the gum. Screwed up on my crown and I had to come back 1month later. Not even a word for appology. Appt desk is rude. Didnt even try to make room for my appt to make up for their mistake. Not clear about final prices. Yet tries so hard to make you come back. Awful. read more

I left my previous dentist after a very bad and painful crown procedure that was placed incorrectly twice. I decided to see Dr. Yamashiro because of high ratings and it was the best decision I could have made. He replaced the crown with zero pain. He's very gentle and patient. His staff is extremely nice and very professional which makes the visits even better. read more

I HATE the dentist. Dr Y was very interested in hearing why. He genuinely listened to my answer and worked with me to make me as comfortable as possible. He talked to me and explained every procedure to ease any fears and prepare me. He even called after the procedure to make sure I didnt have any complications after the numbness wore off. He us actually the best dentist I've ever had. Also, the staff in the front are always nice and friendly. read more

I have had a lot of dentists as my career has taken me around the country and Dr. Yamashiro is one of the very best. He is very careful and very considerate. He is kind and thoughtful. He explains what he is going to do before he does it which eases any stress you may have. He personally cleans your teeth and never causes me any pain. I like the fact that I know that he is thoroughly examining my teeth as he cleans them. He will work with you to help deal with insurance and billing issues, and help with the timing of your visits to make sure that you can get the most benefit from your dental insurance. If he can't do the work he will refer you to an excellent healthcare provider. For instance, he referred me to the best specialist for root canal that I have ever had, and I have had a few to compare to. I highly recommend Dr. Yamashiro. He is an excellent dentist. read more

Dr Yamashiro is very gentle and thorough. The front desk lady Masako is very nice and accomodating. She speaks japanese and english. My mother also is a patient and loves the staff as they are very kind and considerate. The hygenist takes as long as she needs to clean my teeth. When I needed extensive dental work done, I received a treatment plan and watched a video presentation of the process. Whenever i go in for a check up or for a filling or crown, he explains things as he does them making me feel a little more at ease. I have had three other dentists and he takes the most time talking through the process. He never seems hurried or too busy to take care of me even when my crown fell off. The ladies are all very nice and seem sincerely concerned about the patients. Both my mother and I received a phne call from the Dr. To check up on us. Thank you! read more

The best dentist!!!! My family love him, and as much as a hate going to the dentist Dr.Yamashiro and his staff make you feel calm, he talks to you through all the procedure. Who likes going to the dentist? No one right. I hate it and my teeth show it. Last time I went was maybe 7 yrs ago. I finally got the courage to go again after being referred by a trusted friend. I was sooooo scared, the very nice assistant noticed it and assured me it would be fine. Worse fear ever, I needed a root canal. Everyone talks about them being worse than giving birth. I was beyond nervous ready to bail out. To my surprise, It was a breeze. No pain, no discomfort other than you know typical from having your teeth worked on. Dr. Yamashiro made this experience great and I am no longer afraid to go see him and his assistant noticed that too. She said, you not scared anymore right? They are all so nice. I might bring my kids here now since they both hate going to the dentist too. He will be seeing me back in 6 months. No more skipping out on the dentist as long as I am going to Dr. Yamashiro. I just hope the dentist he referred me to for my wisdom teeth removal and braces is as good as he is. read more

I haven't been to a dentist in a long time and it is partly because I have had a couple of bad experiences with previous dentists and also because I have neglected taking better care of my oral hygiene. I waited to the very last second to see a dentist but eventually made an appointment because of minor discomfort in my mouth. It was my first time at Dr Yamashiro's office and I was happily greeted by the receptionist. The office is small but I didn't have to wait long and was immediately in the care of Dr. Yamashiro's assistant who was not only very professional but also very considerate of my needs to feel comfortable and relaxed as she took x-rays. Dr Yamashiro got right to the problem with my discomfort and offered solutions to help me change my daily habits to prevent problems like mine from occurring again. Although nothing serious was wrong, Dr. Yamashiro cleaned my teeth in an efficient and timely matter. I was very nervous at the beginning but his skill and delicate touch and adjustments to make sure I was also comfortable really eased my stress. He fixed a chipped tooth that was missing for awhile now and it looks like nothing ever happened and I am happy how it looks and feels. I was in and out in a very short time and did not have to wait long for the entire visit. I look forward to coming back in 6 months. read more
