First I have to say how surprised I was to see some of these low reviews , some with frustration…read morebut that was far from my experience. I had a infected tooth that I needed extracted and when I called my dentist I was told she was away for 2 weeks . It takes a lot to impress me . I am leaving for 2 weeks vacation in the am and thankfully they squeezed me in despite being jammed , the staff were very pleasant Dr Romeo. Was very impressive , great personality explained everything in great detail and what was needed in the near future . He explained options that didn't include a lot of unnecessary procedures to send his kids to Yale . Thank you

I didn't make it through the door because of our great democratic, CT Husky Insurance Program…read more Participating dentists, surgeons or other dentistry needs are not being met in our state due to low payments fir I ricedures and those are paid months late. So I get that part of this mess BUT where's the humanity??? If you have a tooth ache on an upper molar tooth which only an oral surgeon can safely pull, you're made to wait months??? There's only a handful of these in the state and the ones I called wouldn't squeeze me in because I have only 1 tooth to be extracted? So Im basically not worth the time slot because its not enough money ? I'm on pain. So what so O do pull it myself? Or wait ,in pain until June. I called CT Ortho and Maxiofacial Surgery in Meriden AND Premier n Stratford which is a good 45 minutes away from me. My daughter went through 2 weeks or more waiting for someone to help her, in pain. Unable to sleep, eat, ir work. I'm disgusted. Shame on these offices. This is what you get when you need to rely on the social service programs and services covered under the social welfare departments. We get poor quality treatment and judgemental professionals that make you feel worthless and limited options. Adding another one to the list, UCONN SCHOOL OF DENISTRY. I can't even believe this. July is the first opening. First of all I dont believe this. I asked this supervisor if she woke up with tooth pain and needed an extraction, would she be asked to wait til July? They say this information with this high pitched friendly voice , while I'm crying on the other end of the phone. Wbat in the world is going on..This is am oral surgeons office who deals mostly with patients in pain. You're also not usually a patient in a specialized area as this one unless you've had alot of oral surgery, which who needs this service often. Trust me, being on state insurance is the ladt place I want to be, but Its my only option right now. I just want voters to think twice , and for those of you who think this is what the would needs more of , how wrong you are!!

Very shady place, they scam and lie to you about a lot of "procedures" you need to get done. It's…read moreeither they will lie about issues or they will over- exaggerate an issue you are having and try to do treatments on you that you really don't need. Go get a second opinion with another dentist office before buying into what Aspen Dental says. The dental office itself does not feel very safe or comfortable. You can hear everything going on with other patients around you. Anyone can just peek in and see what's going on. This is a HIPPA law violation as patients are entitled to privacy rights. No patient should ever have to feel humiliated and embarrassed because people can overhear what's "going on with their mouths" (Because majority of the time they lie). Just not a comfortable place to be in. Dentist who did root canal on me was very nice so 2 stars for her because she was so sweet and so gentle and so understanding but other than that, please do not blindly trust what they tell you. Second opinions are important with this facility!

My experience at Aspen dental was not good at all. I went there for a fractured tooth that was…read morecausing me severe pain that woke me up at night and made it difficult to eat. I worked with my insurance company to get me in as soon as possible and Aspen obliged. When I arrived at my appointment they went right to work taking soooo many X-rays and a panorax X-ray. I told them numerous times that I was there because I had a broken tooth that was causing severe pain. They assured me that they would address that when I saw the dentist. Eventually I met with the dentist. She was very nice. She examined my mouth for about 2 minutes. Then she told me that she had reviewed my X-rays and there were a lot of teeth that needed fixing. She explained that I needed teeth removed and partial dentures and dental implants. I was devastated. I asked her again about the tooth that was causing me pain. She said that I would have to talk to the treatment plan coordinator to set that up. When I met with the treatment plan coordinator she gave me a breakdown of what needed to be done and how much it would cost. The total cost would be $38,512 ($11285.65 with insurance). I asked her about the tooth that I need to have fixed and she said that I need to contact my insurance company because they couldn't do anything about it . She said I needed to contact an Endodontist for that. So after all that, I left still in pain. I have contacted the BBB and plan on speaking with my union representative. Very disappointed.
