Dentists before that were from the Navy; (I am a veteran) and they all did some shoddy work. Needed to have a root canal and crown done and the work performed was outstanding. No pain from the procedure. Just a little bit of tenderness for a couple hours after. I went to sleep and felt totally fine the next morning. The only way I hurt myself was when I tried to eat some food after the appointment and bit my lip haha. The numbing agent he uses is quality stuff. His quality of care has inspired me to see about having braces done to have a photogenic smile. I absolutely trust Doctor Malek to perform affordable and quality work. Well gots to go. I was NOT happy when I went to see him the first time for a regular cleaning. While they accepted my insurance however at the END of the cleaning I was charged for an additional $70+ as it ended up being more like a "deep cleaning" what the heck was i supposed to do in that situation. I knew deep down this was bad business practice for sure as the communication should have been brought up doing consultation. Anyway i paid it and silly me scheduled next cleaning for 6 months. Well.. never did get a confirmation so i called and they sounded confused but said im all set or something like that. Showed up and it was a female dentist with her daughter and they tried selling me a non Invisalign type product because i have a slight overbite that it was going to be $3k+ lol wow talk about sales pitch. After those two bad experiences i never went back.

Hawthorne Family and Cosmetic Dentistry has been a blessing for me. I suffer from extreme…read moresensitivity in the gums and a bit of a dental-chicken, but the staff here has been so kind. For the past many, many years I am so very thankful for Dr. Bimili and his staff always being so gentle with me. The office staff is warm and friendly, not just in person, but over the phone when scheduling or just checking up on you after a long appointment. I recently had a front eye-tooth broken out due to a severe medical emergency. Dr. Bimili and his staff had me into the office almost immediately and rebuilt the broken tooth in one sitting. I admit, I had been crying when I arrived but was smiling with joy by the time I was walking out the door. Dental staff like this is something that I am so grateful for every single day. I'd like to add that the office staff is well aware of my back pain issues. They are always kind enough to give me any needed move/stretch breaks that I may require. They've even gone so far as to break (no pun intended) up a long appointment into two separate sittings for me. Their understanding regarding this means so much to me. I will also say that I always keep two business cards from their office with me at all times, as well as having one pinned above my desk at work. Since I run the front office at my employment, and handle payroll for work, I hear from a lot of teachers/educators when they need to go to the dentist. If they ask if I have any local suggestions I just hand over the card. This has led to several coworkers now going to my same dentist, and many happy smiling face at work!
