I went in to see Dr. Adeyi for my annual physical, and my visit exceeded expectations. Parking was ample and convenient. The facility is modern, clean, and looks beautiful. The front desk staff was kind and attentive (they even brought me cold water!). I was taken to the back by Nurse Florrie, who is just the sweetest woman. She was friendly, kept the mood light, and listened actively while I took her down the long, twisty road of my medical history. She, along with the front desk staff set the tone for my visit, and helped put my mind at ease. Dr. Adeyi was everything I hoped she would be, and more. Her reputation preceeded her, but even still, she exceeded my expectations. She was so kind, patient, and compassionate. I am usually very nervous in doctors' offices, due to some trauma from previous experiences. With Dr. Adeyi and Florrie, I never once felt uncomfortable. I felt that Dr. Adeyi really aimed to collaborate with me on my care, balancing her expertise with my preferences and lived experiences. Finally, I have a place that I can call home for my healthcare, with providers I can trust. I look forward to feeling like the best version of myself, as I feel like I have found the people that can help me do that!

During my time as a patient, I felt that my concerns were not taken seriously and that I was not treated with the level of respect, compassion, and professionalism I believe every patient deserves. My experience with Dr. Barajas left me feeling dismissed rather than heard, particularly when I was trying to communicate my concerns and needs as a patient. What made the situation even more upsetting was my interaction with Falicia, the Canton branch manager. When I spoke with her by phone regarding the doctor's decision to dismiss me as a patient, I felt that instead of helping resolve the situation, the conversation became argumentative. I should not have to argue with a branch manager simply to have my concerns heard and to understand what is happening with my care. I understand that medical practices may have policies regarding patient dismissal. However, patients deserve to be treated respectfully throughout that process. Communication should be professional, calm, and focused on addressing the patient's concerns rather than becoming confrontational. This experience has caused me significant frustration and has left me feeling that my concerns as a patient were not handled appropriately. I hope the practice takes this complaint seriously and reviews how this situation was handled, including both my interactions with Dr. Barajas and my phone conversation with the Canton branch manager. I rescheduled for another date. Get to the appointment and the receptionist canceled the rescheduled appointment and not the original one so it looked like I no showed Dr. Monika (something I would never do) 2026 I book a physical 3 weeks in advance. Get to the appointments and the receptionist tells me my insurance is not in network and I'd have to pay cash. All of my information is in my my chart. All my other doctors have confirmed this information prior to my appointment..... ugh...

She prescribed medication for me and told me it was a cheap generic so not to worry about the cost. Great! Only that medication was NOT generic and, in fact, was no longer being made. So the one store in a 20 mile radius that had it was charging $60. Way to keep up with your meds there, doc. The second time I went in for lower back pain. I was seen by a RN rather than a doctor. No problem for me...I've known nurses that are smarter than doctors anyway. Only this nurse was lousy. She didn't even look at my back to check for swelling, bruising, spinal issues, etc. She just checked my reflexes and said that, since it wasn't a weight issue (I'm 5' and 100lbs) I should probably just do some back exercises to relieve the pain. WHAT?? First of all, LOOK at the problem. Second, you can't recommend exercises for correcting lower back pain when you don't know what's causing it...you run a high risk of making things worse. What a lousy facility. I will not be returning, or subjecting any of my family, to this place.

I told Hailey that mom was not in pain so not an urgent matter but would like to get the testing and treatment process started. My mother, Ethelyn Foley had taken her first outing on the bus and gone to get her hair done at a nearby salon around 1:00 on Wednesday. We got no further communication from Hartley as far as timing or appointment times were concerned. My mother reports that as she was sitting in the hairdressers chair, a woman walked in asking for her by name. My mom acknowledged that was her name. The woman approached an crouched down next to mom and said, "We understand you might be getting a bladder infection. We are here to take your urine sample for testing. You can go to their bathroom in the back and go ahead and give us a sample in this cup (holding up a sample cup). My mother is very hard of hearing (she is 100 years old) and could not understand what she was being asked for. The nurse repeated herself more loudly now - so mom could hear. Mom was so stunned and confused she reluctantly complied with the request going into the bathroom at the salon and give a urine sample for the lady - at a hair salon! Everyone in the salon saw and heard what had transpired and mom was mortified. She was so shocked and embarrassed she did not know what to do. I called her later in the day to see if she enjoyed gertting her hair done and this is the story I was told. I am angry at the unprofessionalism of that action and feel like her HIPPA rights have been grievously violated. I will be seeking legal advice on this matter.
