When they came out, they got my wife (I work all day, so my wife had to deal with these people). Upon doing their inspection, they told my wife the following which was texted to me by her (see photo 1). We went ahead and hired this company to do the work and make those replacements (see photo 2 on how it looked before the work was done. What they said was going to be a week took almost three weeks and several phone calls with an update on what's going on. They came and did the work and we paid them. I'm going to assume they weren't going to think we were going to look at their work (please see photos 3 and 4 which is what we paid roughly 1800 dollars for). Needless to say I wasn't happy, and neither was my wife. She reached out to them and communicated what I thought was going on with their workmanship (please see photo number 5 for their reply). For them to actually argue that the collar they put on wasn't almost completely if not totally mangled and bent is absurd. Their reply was beyond mind boggling. We decided to have them come out and replace the mangled and bent collar (see photo 6 for the replaced collar). Also see photo 7 of the mess on my lawn they didn't clean up. The fact that they replaced the shoddy workmanship did help and ultimately prevent a complaint with the BBB and/or a potential lawsuit, but that is the last business I will do with these clowns. I will be giving my money and repeat business to a different chimney/fireplace company. Please take this review into consideration if you choose to go with this business.

He didn't offer any less costly options so we decided to get other estimates. We got 3 estimates, then a friend at church recommended Joe at Dane County Chimney and Masonry who recently rebuilt her chimney. Joe came right out and was very informative, not only of our chimney situation but of gas inserts too. He offered several options of varying costs. We opted to have him remove the chimney and install gas vent piping instead of a full rebuild, plus we chose an insert that was attractive but wouldn't break the bank. He and Matt got right to work and did a great job! We love the look of our new insert and I highly recommend Dane County Chimney and Masonry!

We went through the Landmark/Costco partnership to get our central air conditioning installed…read more When we had our quote done, Frank was amazing and answers so many great questions. He told me that we didn't need a new thermostat, but the installers would know more and would install one if necessary. Our install went great, but a few days later we noticed large pools around the unit and called Tom just to be sure it was normal (new homeowners). He seemed concerned and said it is not normal and he'd look into it right away. I had to call HIM back after waiting almost a week to hear back. His response was, "oh that's perfectly normal." Not sure what changed, but would've been nice to know instead of worrying. Fast forward to the first day we turned on our heat. Every time the heat kicked on, the AC unit also turned on. I'm no expert, but I knew that wasn't normal. So we called and made an appointment for someone to come look at it, because again, they seemed concerned. When they called to confirm my appointment, the lady on the phone said that we didn't need our appointment, we just need to turn our tan off of auto. Well, it kept happening, so I called AGAIN to make a NEW appointment. The guy who came out was very polite. They thought someone who installed made an error in electrical. After searching, he decided it needed a new thermostat. Surprise, they only have one style available and it's $250. Then he tells me I owe an $80 service call fee. I don't expect everything for free. However, no one ever said we were having connection issues with the thermostat at the install, and they thought they made an error in the install, so I was not expecting to have to pay that. If my mechanic thought he made an error on my car; he wouldn't charge me another diagnostic fee. So I called and just explained my thoughts behind this all, and Tom heard me out, but wasn't very helpful. He said he would talk to a manager and get back to me on how to resolve this. I have yet to hear back and it has now been two months. Great field employees but horrible customer service in the office.

(The technician they sent was very good.) We had the tank filled to a certain level recently, so it was easy for me to estimate the amount that was lost. But it was a struggle dealing with Craig, the manager. He offered to replace a much lower amount, and said that it was more than fair. I disagreed and told him how I came up with the amount that was lost. Craig wouldn't budge, and refused to let me talk to someone else. This one star review is for cheating us out of the gas that was lost because of their faulty equipment, and for being so hard to deal with.
