He worked around my tenants schedule and was able to provide a great quote on repair work around my chimney. There was some storm damage that apparently pulled some flashing off and was leaking into the house. Ben was able to fix it quickly and I couldn't be happier! Hats off to him and his company Madison Chimney Repair.

Levi is THE chimney guy…read more He assessed our chimney and gave us the most honest answer on what work needed to be done vs nice to have. This was compared to 3 other chimney people we had out to give quotes. Then he walked us through selecting the perfect wood burning insert, installed it, and has been super responsive with our questions regarding how to best use it. His pricing is super fair as he only charged for pick up and installation of the device. Highly recommend for any chimney / fireplace needs!

Peter from Badger Chimney came out to my house for an estimate today. He would have been a no-show…read morehad I not called to remind him of the appointment, and showed up an hour later than he estimated without calling to say that he would be on his way, which I asked him to do. He badly scratched the hardwood floors in front of the fireplace with the metal eyelets of his shoes and then denied it, despite the fact that the blanket he brought was not spread out and his feet were hanging off of it. He pointed to a number of nearby superficial scratches saying that he couldn't have made the fresh deep ones past the edge of the blanket where his shoes had been, but I have photos that suggest otherwise. If you want a careless contractor who will show up late and damage your floors, this is your guy!

Peter gave us a choice of 6 different bricks before he started and he matched the mortar color with that of the house. The flashing also is perfect. Ditto the top cap. He cleaned up the job site well and cleaned all our gutters too! Price was right too. The only problem was that his communication needs some work. He got sick in the late winter/early spring and didn't let me know that he wouldn't be able to complete in the agreed time frame. Wasn't a problem for me but would have been better to just email or call and let me know. His work was also delayed by our wet Spring we had this year. Again communication with me could have been better. But, bottom line is he does great work. I would recommend him.
