If you see this Truck stop and get a poutine or a smokie I'm sure you'd enjoy them! We love them in Quebec and haven't had many good ones in the west but Jeffer's is really good. Not the same as back east as their gravy is different but the fries are really fresh and the gravy was delicious Also had a smokie They have some great ad ons I just had onions and mustard The bun is baked and not too big just the right size. Definitely will seek them out next time we're in Penticton and probably try the fish & chips read more

Walked up to the truck and the staff was efficient - ready to take and prep my order. $10 for a regular poutine, which was the perfect amount - though, I'm sure I could put away the large order if I wanted to. The fries were crispy, curds were squeaky, and the gravy was tasty. What more do you want? Oh, you want them layered? Yea, Jeffer's did it right as I could see them do about three different layers of fries, curds, gravy, within the single cup of my order. So clutch. It's just a little truck parked right next to the CIBC, so great environment of grab the food and go for a stroll along Main St. Also, check out their other location located by the Canadian Tire. After trying to visit a distillery (that was unfortunately closed) I had a hankering for fish and chips. I pulled out my phone opened Yelp! but didn't have time to search when I heard voices in an otherwise ghost-town of a road (this is during covid times, mind you) I looked up and I heard the angel's voices as the sun shone directly on this chip truck! I ordered the 2 piece with some peach juice and at in the back of my hatchback in the adjacent parking lot. There's vinegar (both white and malt varieties), hot sauces and you'll get tartar sauce and fresh lemon wedges (!!) to go with your meal. That was the most miraculous moment during my road trip, not just because it was exactly what I was looking for, but because the seasoning on the fish wasn't your run-of-the-mill batter! You can see the herbs and seasoning and if I had time, I would have stuck around to try some more! The pieces of fish are huge (see photo - sorry, I already ate some of the first piece) and served on a deep bed of fries. These guys are awesome - at one point he came off the truck and approached a man pushing a shopping cart with his earthly possessions and offered him some food! We're all in this together, right? Wow. Jeffer's May be a food truck, but he knows hire to make fish and chips. The fish was fresh as can be, perfectly fried, nice crispy batter that wasn't too thick, with excellent flavor. The best poutine EVER! I was born in Penticton and have ate Jeffers Fryzz for as long as I can remember. I moved out of the country and after nearly ten years just recently came back to BC. Jeffers is still there and the fries have not changed at all, still DELICIOUS! Extra crispy, perfect savory gravy, and cheese curds that are soooo gooey and melty. So in the days of covid19, you want to see front lines workers taking at least a minimum of precautions. Didn't happen while we were there. There were no masks, no gloves and very little effort in social distancing. After we paid for our order with a credit card that we swiped above the machine, I witnessed the young female server take a "card" from a customer insert it then hand the card back to the customer. Shortly after I saw her touch her face. There was no disinfectant involved in that transaction. Our meal consisting of 2 very thin pieces of fish and a much smaller portion of poutine than we've ever received in the past cost $26 plus 12% tax. So I was really looking forward to having fish and chips at this truck at the Canadian tire but it was all the before stuff that put a bad taste in my mouth. We stood at the truck waiting to place our order for 15 mins behind one guy. When he went up to order she looked at us and said "I won't be able to take your order, I have to turn off the generator" . We still wanted fish and chips so she sent us to Nanaimo and Main Street. My sister placed the order (we were the only ones there) then several other people lined up and we could see people coming and going with their fish and chips. Finally after 1/2 an hour we asked where our order was and she totally forgot it. Everything was very expensive on the grounds, however, if you're looking for something moderately cheap and a quick carb filling they're fries aren't too bad. They were fried right, not too crispy. Depending on the price mark you can get a bucket and or a basket (small). I would go with the bucket as it is more economical plus it just looks awesome that you're eating fries out of a bucket.
