(They actually offered 3 different add ones, tried all three and were unremarkable) The meat was truly excellent, full of flavor and well cooked. The gal that helped us could not be any friendlier at all! Full of smiles and eager to please. My only issue is the price for what you get. The space was clean, a kinda corporate type of clean, so it didn't have a taqueria feel, but you definitely got the sense that food would be reliable and have a standardized method of assembly. This was set up very much like a subway or chipotle where you start from one end and build your meal on your way to the register. The employees were really nice, friendly and enthusiastic. Definitely a lot of pep in their step which was greatly appreciated. There were vegan options here- plant based protein crumbles (which tasted great!) and vegan cheese, by Daiya. The vegan protein was kept far away from the animal protein and had a lid on it. (Such attention to detail in their setup! I can't tell you how many times I've had food contaminated with animal protein). The vegan cheese was kept in a fridge under the counter away from the dairy cheese. I had a bowl, the bf had a burrito. Both were loaded and delicious. I must add (for those who might care out there), this place mixes the burrito filling so everything is evenly distributed before they roll it up nice & tight then press it one last time so the outside has a bit of a toasty bite. No more single bites of just one filling, it's all nicely distributed for you. And you have a freshly toasted tortilla to but into too! Something to note, the food is somewhere along the lines of a chipotle or Una Más. It's not quite greasy and "authentic" like a taqueria but rather something lighter/healthier(?) and less greasy which suited our mood since it's the day before Ironman Canada. While we were eating, we overheard the employee chit chatting with some customers, giving suggestions to local places to see etc. They were just so sweet and friendly.
