Had a leaky bathroom sink. Called a popular local business to check it. Service man arrived quickly, looked at the sink for about 5 minutes, said that I would need a new faucet and drain. Each would cost $600. Could do it on the spot. Seemed very eager to get the green light. As the cost seemed high, I said I was going to wait. Called Jeff Smith Plumbing. After checking several things in the hopes that both parts were not faulty, he confirmed that both the faucet and drain needed to be replaced. Fixed the drain on the spot, had to come back the next day with the faucet, which was a name brand. Did the whole repair for just under $400, less than one third of the competitor's price. read more
