The experience was, at first, promising, at least when they were "selling" us on their services. When it came to execution (draining the water system at a cottage and turning it back on in the spring) there were mistakes made and much frustration experienced by us. Worst of all, and most unforgiveable, has been their refusal to accept any responsibility for damage caused. We were overcharged for services for which we had received a firm quote, then we were told that a tap had to be replaced (at $800+) when there was nothing wrong with the tap. Another tap, damaged due to poor system draining, they declined to repair or replace unless we paid $400 (I replaced the tap for $76.99). The list goes on. Our attempts to communicate our frustration with the president of the company were unsuccessful; instead were met with more refusals to accept responsibility. Finding a good plumber in cottage country is difficult; keep looking, this isn't it.

Then the one time I was in a jam, I needed a washer for a kitchen tap (that they had originally installed) to allow a renovation to continue I called and got the 'we will look into it and get back to you'. This was urgent and I stated so, but never heard back during that day. I eventually called back the next day and got the 'oh, we have been busy and didn't get around to looking for that, but we will now'. Five minutes later I got the 'we looked and can't find it, maybe try Amazon'. I doubt they even looked because for once there was nothing in it for them. Very disappointing. I never contacted them back as I instead just gave up on them and moved to another plumbing contractor. But when I saw recently that Van Leeuwan won a Reader's Choice award..........well, I had to say something!
