The first 30 of the 40 years I've been with Lakeshore Dr. Esser handled all of my issues related to my health. But now I'm supposed to see seven providers ? I am disabled. It is hard to get in a car and go sit in a waiting room. this program is NOT designed for patients care but to squeeze thousands of of dollars out of patients to line the pockets of Evergreen Health Owners and Doctors.

I clearly said I didn't need any diagnosis or treatment, yet she ordered an unnecessary test without warning me it would be billed separately. This isn't the first time she's pulled this. In the past, she added charges for simply asking a question during a physical. It feels like a trap--say one wrong thing and you get billed extra. I've seen many doctors over the years and none have made me feel this anxious about simply talking during a checkup. This is not patient-centered care--it's profit-centered.

During the awkward period before he became an official resident of Washington state and became eligible for insurance from the state but after he aged off of his parents' health insurance plan, he had two emergency room visits. We also found Healthpoint, which has been amazing at working with us as far as paying on a sliding scale. The best part is their pharmacy -- even though we only go in once every three months to pick up a refill of his medications, the lovely pharmacist remembers him every time and asks specific questions about his school/life. She's awesome! Every time I've spoken to representatives on the phone they've been helpful and quick with setting up appointments, or squeezing us in. I really admire the staff for all the patience they have with their patients -- visiting Healthpoint has been full of much better experiences than I remember experiencing as a child visiting sliding scale income clinics, and I'd recommend them to anybody.

I personally don't need hand holding mushiness, I need the truth, level headedness and a physician who will share his knowledge about what is going on with my body. A little small talk and humor doesn't hurt either. All qualities you will find with Dr. Bayles and his staff. I live nearby so location is awesome for me. I used to see a Swedish physician downtown but finally switched b/c the drive and parking was inconvenient. And no parking charges at the Redmond Swedish Medical Center! It's also brand new so the facility looks great. And scheduling appointments have also generally been easy. I once got squeezed in at the last minute when I got a severe allergic reaction and needed some relief asap. The Swedish network is also something I love (yes, love). All your medical information gathered by Swedish physicians is online so there's no confusion about your medical history or trying to remember every little thing. Another much appreciated thing...everything runs like a well-oiled machine. I get in, fill in some quick paperwork, pay my co-pay and I'm in an office in less than 5 minutes. A nurse takes some information about my visit, gets some vitals and the doctor arrives in less than 5 minutes. When I'm done, my paperwork is being printed, don't need to mess with prescriptions as they have been electronically delivered to my pharmacy and I'm done. Like I said, I see my physician more often than the average person and any extra time I can save not waiting around is a big thumbs up for me.

He's provided me with great reference materials over the years - I was able to lower my cholesterol significantly with diet rather than going straight to meds with the help of his guidance. I like that he takes a complete view of the patient and seems to address root cause more than just treating a symptom with a prescription.
