Instead my Dr of many years said it would be best if I seek care elsewhere. Avoid this place! Dr patient relationships are incredibly important but this Dr could seem to careless should you actually have a valid complaint. She then proposed 3 different courses of action: one which was primarily homeopathic, one which was more mainstream, and the last which was a marriage of the two. She explained each, with each of the advantages and drawbacks. I felt like I was making an informed decision on my health care. My test results improved and I do feel much better. I sent my husband in next, and he saw Therry, whom he thought was very nice and helpful as well. Then I decided to send my daughters, because we were not happy with the treatment options they were receiving at Pediatric Associates, who just wanted to throw drugs (steroids) at my daughter, instead of trying to resolve the issue. Plus, I wanted my children to experience what it was like to be with a doctor who cared about them and really listened to their concerns. Most recently, we lost our insurance, and had to take my youngest daughter in for an infected toe! The bill at the end was something I could afford, and was worth every penny! Thank you Gaylene for your patience! To those on here complaining of the decor or all the clutter, personally, I don't like paying for expensive decor in my medical bills. (I mean, would you like them to speed things up with you, possibly misdiagnose, forget to draw a lab or just blow off your multiple concerns that you have, because there is someone in the waiting room complaining that YOU are taking too much of the providers time)? I have seen a lot of upset people complaining to the front office staff or saying that they will just leave, well, all I can say is , if you choose to do that than that's your decision, no one is making you stay there, so to those who want to cuss, embarrass yourself, disrespect medical professionals, then you have the right to do that, BUT, think about the next time you are at the Dr and the tables are turned, and you will be in with the provider and someone is trying to throw a tantrum to get back to the dr, since you have been with him/her long enough. I was thrown off by his abrupt diagnosis, so I decided to stop taking Adderall after the first couple of days. After this I decided I needed better answers, so I sought help from a therapist, who was actually able to confirm my conditions as ADHD and PTSD. She confirmed that medical leave might be a good option to consider as well. I went back to Dr. Chan to follow up and inquire about medical leave, adderall, and proceeding with getting more help. I experienced what others have already expressed. Dr. Chan was completely unwilling to listen, to help me understand his points of view, and was immediately hostile towards me for asking about medical leave. He expressed that he has a 'personal preference' against people who don't want to work, and that he doesn't help people NOT work. His refusal to help me understand my situation and his hostility towards me was so intense that it triggered another PTSD-related panic attack. Avoid this person at all costs. Listen to the negative reviews and save yourself.
