I had been dealing with my car dealer for a while trying to have them take a look at the check engine light that came on after a regular oil change, long story short, I got nowhere with my dealer. I called Jeep Fix and Mike was very accommodating and understanding of the situation. He takes his time to walk you through and explain the issue your car is having. Jeep Fix is a scammer. This happened last summer. Reason 1: Creates false problem. The owner Michel had told me the drive shaft of my Jeep was coming off and he would fix it later. I got my Jeep checked on the issue at three different repair shops and they all told me that there was not such a problem. Reason 2: You keep paying money while the problem stays the same. The engine of my Jeep lost its power. Michel checked the engine and replaced spark plugs, then the distributor, then remove the filter from the muffler, then replaced the computer. I had to pay about 1,000 dollars and 1 week time but the situation stayed the same and becoming worse as time passed. Finally my Jeep lost all the power on I-80 in the middle of nowhere. I had to drive at 5 mph on the freeway, extremely dangerous situation it was. I brought my Jeep to Vernal Ut. and found a repair shop there. They fixed my Jeep in 3 days and the engine has been as powerful as ever since. The guys in Vernal did the perfect work and costed me 700 dollars. The cause of the power loss was nothing to do with what Michel had worked on my Jeep. I have tried to have a talk with Michel and he told me he was coming to a motel where I was staying near West Jordan, but later he called me again telling me he was not coming. I had to fly back home to Japan a day after but I'm back in Utah again now. read more

Jeepfix was a lifesaver for us. After going to multiple mechanics and dishing out thousands of dollars for the root issue in our Jeep to still not be fixed. We finally found Jeepfix. When I came in to get an assessment on my Jeep they actually let me go back into the shop and showed me all the parts that were lose on my Jeep causing the death wobble. They took a lot of time out of there day to answer all my questions and help me better understand the mechanics of my Jeep. They had my Jeep fixed just within a couple of day! Generally pleased with their work on my 1987 Jeep in March 2017. I would recommend them to others and return if I needed more Jeep work in SLC. Full story: I had a short in the starting circuitry that was intermittently preventing start. Difficult to find because a lot of wires, relays and circuits are in the starting path, but they isolated it to a specific wire. For reasons I still do not fully understand they tried but were not able to completely fix that wire and the exact problem returned 2 hours after I paid and left. I give them credit, however for correctly isolating the subject wire and instructing me on how to overcome the problem if it returned, which I successfully did. In the same visit they also successfully replaced my inoperative blower and associated resistor, and that has worked fine ever since, and they gave some advice on the car and topped off motor oil. Price seemed a _little_ high given they did not actually fix the primary problem, but I was very glad to have it accurately diagnosed and generally pleased with my treatment. read more

I have been having JeepFix as my go to mechanic for the last couple of years and I have not been disappointed. Mike has always been extremely upfront and honest. Sometimes it's difficult to find an honest mechanic, especially as a woman, but I have found him! I'm not sure what the whole story was with the one star rating, but maybe if the car needs to be towed, it needs a lot of work and money/parts put into it, so money required upfront sounds completely understandable. Above and Beyond Service. The guys at Jeep Fix were amazing. We took a Jeep we were looking at purchasing into them for an inspection and they defiantly took the time to look over everything. My husband is mechanically inclined as well and was allowed to help with this process. We both felt Mike was very honest and upfront with everything. We purchased the Jeep and took it back into them to have them fix one issue they found in it. The best part about Jeep Fix is you feel like part of the family there. You don't sit in a cold waiting room wondering what is going on with your car. Mike was great at keeping you involved and he even offered to go out of his way to help us.
