Carolyn K I was…read morecleaning out some drawers and found my deceased Dad's 1941 class ring. I had it fixed before and it broke yet again. I also found a commerative ring given to my late Mom for her dedication to her employer and her attendance. I looked up where the best Jewelers were in the Cleveland area. Gino's Jewelers was rated the absolute highest. And it was close to me. I stopped by after work one day. Mike waited on me and I told him that I wanted to use one (Mom's loyalty ring) ring band to enforce and fix my Dad's class ring. I also told him about a necklace that was pulling my hair out at the nape of my neck that I wanted to get rid of because I heard they buy gold there too. One week later, I had my Dad's ring back on my finger, the hair grabbing necklace sold and a check for the left over gold. I can't even explain how grateful I am to find a Jewelers that I trust. Mike also looked at a bunch of old jewelry that I wanted to get rid of and let me know what was gold and what wasn't. You can not go wrong visiting and trusting Gino's. If you want a fair price and a trustworthy company, Gino's Jewelers is definitely the place to go Thank you for my ring and for the great experience. I will be back to purchase the gold necklace we spoke about.

I wish I could say my experience with Chester's was a good as everyone else's on Yelp…read more I took my watch in mid July and the first odd thing I experienced was his aggression when I refused his down payment system. He insists that all of his customers pay $50 before he even fixes the watch. His store is full to the brim with watches that have been fixed but never picked up. He blames it on customers I blame it on his poor communication and customer service. After waiting 2 and half months for him to fix a cracked crystal. He left a voicemail saying it was ready to pickup. It took me 6 calls, 3 voicemails, and two visits to his store before I could get a hold of him. When I finally was at the store to pickup my watch he went in a tirade because I didn't have the small slip of paper with me with the job number on it. The problem was simple and was solved when I suggested that he look up my name or phone number instead of the job number in his records. To cap all of this off, his rudeness throughout all of this process was constant. As a customer, I got the impression that he didn't care at all and that I was an inconvenience when I had been nothing but responsible and polite. I encourage anyone to go somewhere else.

It seemed a bit expensive overall ($90) but I had gone to a jewelry store and most pearl repair work is outsourced so it'd probably be more expensive in that route. Great customer service. They also do a ton of other repair stuff (watches, polishing, etc) and I would definitely bring other things back to them in the future.

I received an advertising newsletter in the mail several weeks ago, and Gem-Crafters was one of the businesses featured. The owner is also a Kent State University alum (go Flashes!), so I kept the mailer, and finally took my rings in two days ago. The cost was so reasonable that I asked him to re-size three rings and repair a broken bracelet, and left the items with him. He called the following day to let me know the work was done, and that I could pick them up at my convenience. While-you-wait repairs are available, the owner will clean your jewelry at no cost, and he welcomed my dog (dog-friendly businesses have a special place in my heart). I took a few of his business cards to give to friends who've told me how much they paid for jewelry repairs, and how long they had to wait.
