I told her that I would go check to see if my husband would buy the dress for me (for my birthday) as it was an expensive but well made and beautiful dress. Hubby said absolutely, buy it. I came back shortly afterwards and bought the dress. I enjoyed the shopping experience. She may remember me as I was just there a few days ago.

And I said can you bring me this sweatshirt in a small instead of a large. And she said "oh maybe not a small but I can get you a medium" in a very smarmy tone. And she came back. she repeated that to me again, "Well, I didn't get you the small one, but I brought you a medium instead." This was a very oversized sweatshirt, mind you, not something that I could stretch out. She was definitely insinuating that I was too big for the smaller sweatshirt. I'm still in shock that she talked to me like that. Rating three stars because I still found two things that I liked.

I strolled in w/my family on a rainy afternoon. I did not receive a greeting, a smile, NOTHING- just three helpless employees standing around with scowls on their faces! I might have looked plain and tired because I just got off a plane, but i'm an attorney you idiots- people willing to spend money don't always look glamorous! I am relieved I took my wallet to two other places that I highly recommend... 1) Ginger and Koi in Kona- customer service was TOP NOTCH and the clothes/swimsuits were even cuter, with a great selection 2) Hula Moon Boutique in Kamuela, super cute shop, great customer service and very nice clothing! They had one particular high heel that looked like a very interesting piece of artwork although it was a shoe that you could slip your foot into and it had interesting lines that swirled and curved around one's foot almost like a staircase. The owner of the shop was incredibly helpful and friendly and showed me a number of shoes in different colors as well as some changeable shoes based on different pieces of flair you could add onto the top/toe area. I didn't buy anything in particular this day, but I will definitely be back to see what they have next time I'm on the big island!

My daughter had literally just touched a plastic bracelet and it fell apart The woman tried to get my wife to pay $200 cash to be able to leave. My wife ultimately had to pay $80 on credit card. She was able to get the plastic junk though -- so we have the evidence of what in our opinion, the scam that this place is. Stay far far away.

Just three days prior to that, we spent a couple hundred dollars at the SoHa Keiki store at the same Marketplace. In short, a female red-headed employee displayed some micro-aggressions towards me when she mentioned, "We also don't offer Kama'āina discount," when I didn't even ask for it, nor do I ever - even though I'M HAWAIIAN along with most of my maternal and paternal ohana, our ancestral roots or Native to Hawai'i. This really young red-head sat behind the counter the entire time as patrons like us came and went. She lacks basic awareness of our Native Hawaiian culture and requires DEI training. We will not be returning to this particular location.
