WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!! First off, I hate wring negative reviews, but I see a pattern here! I get it, the island doesn't have many shopping options, but when your luggage gets delayed during a connecting flight, you at least need 1) bathing suit 2) dinner outfit and 3) lounge wear. I strolled in w/my family on a rainy afternoon. I did not receive a greeting, a smile, NOTHING- just three helpless employees standing around with scowls on their faces! I might have looked plain and tired because I just got off a plane, but i'm an attorney you idiots- people willing to spend money don't always look glamorous! I am relieved I took my wallet to two other places that I highly recommend... 1) Ginger and Koi in Kona- customer service was TOP NOTCH and the clothes/swimsuits were even cuter, with a great selection 2) Hula Moon Boutique in Kamuela, super cute shop, great customer service and very nice clothing! The BEST PART... drum roll please... between the two shops, we spent $1200!!! I would never return/recommend this shop to anyone- you could easily buy every item at this store on Revolve.com, Nordstrom or Etsy and you would receive excellent customer service!! read more

Kenya is amazing! I would highly recommend purchasing cute things from Persimmon! Kenya worked with me to put together a gift for a friend who was in Hawaii while I was thousands of miles away. Whenever I get over to the Big Island of Hawaii, I have to visit Persimmon at the Queen's Shops near the Hilton Waikoloa. I love their selection of clothing and jewelry there! My Oahu friends and I often joke about being fashion-starved in the islands, and I'm consistently pleased to discover labels and designers that are new to me at Persimmon. It's also really hard to find good boutique shopping in the islands. If you like that, you have to visit this shop. In addition to their clothes, Persimmon's jewelry/accessory selection is fun and features local artists and designers (by local I mean all islands, not just Hawaii; so there's plenty to choose from). It's a neat mix of stuff. The staff are super friendly and helpful. AND there is a couch in the back so my husband doesn't mind waiting while I take my time looking around (and eventually picking out one or two things to take home). Can't get enough of this boutique when I'm visiting the Big Island! Obsessed & addicted! They get shipments daily so it's hard to stay away. Fabulous finds from a variety of labels/designers. Love having this little boutique in the Waikoloa Queen's shops. I always enjoy browsing and almost always find something unique and amazingly comfortable to wear. The shop carries a great selection of brands including some local ones and there is always something new to see. I have spent literally hundreds of dollars in the past year in this shop. The sales women have been rude and unprofessional. They literally ignored me today and when I asked for help the the sales women were snotty and rude AGAIN!. THIS is common with my experience. In spite of it I spent over $300 dollars I had to catch a plane this evening and needed earrings. BUT when I get back on island I will make it my business to see to it that none of my family or friends shop there ever. I am also going to find the owner and complain there as well. Every time I go in there is someone working with a great personality and a wonderful happy smile. No matter what is going on if the ladies are unpacking a new shipment, helping others, etc they stop and welcome you! This is a big deal esp in the area- most of the time when shopping in places like the King's Shops you just get ignored- not at Persimmon! I love that they always have new items, great sales and are constantly updating their stock with fashionable items. The wonderful jewelry is displayed really well and gives you info about the (sometimes local) artist. Most of their jewelry is local- and all of it is hand made which I love! If you need an outfit, cute underwear, shoes, a card, amazing jewelry or just a new shirt definitely visit Persimmon and their wonderful shop! read more

I dont know why the ratings are so low. But dude every time i come in here, i find at least 2 things i LOVE. they have a lot of rompers, maxi dresses, sun dresses, some sandals, lots of awesome bikinis (some on sale too), beachy ware, jewelry, soap, bags...all kinds of stuff. I even found a maxi dress that fits and compliments my skinny self. And YEAH GUYS its pricey, its a boutique after all! Dont go in if youre not ready to spend money on quality items. The staff is super nice and friendly (s/o to Tay;) ), and its located in a nice area with plenty of restaurants and stores to cruise by. Recommend it to guys, gyals, and anyone in between who wanna look pretty :) read more

Went there for the first time last week. While some of the clothes were cute and the prices were normal for boutiques, the customer service sucked. I was in the store for at least five minutes looking at clothes and none of the employees acknowledged that I was even there. I was seriously contemplating buying a dress that was over $50 but decided against it. Won't be back. read more

This store has amazing jewelry. The only down fall is that its not made very quality and most items break very easily. My husband was visiting a friend in hawaii and purchased as bracelet and necklace from the shop as a gift for me. I wore the necklace once and it broke, luckily I felt it fall off and caught it. I had it fixed and it broke again. Unfortunately I didn't feel it fall off the second time and lost it. As for the bracelet, it is a bangle that looks like bamboo. Its adorable. The only downfall to that is that the metal is so soft that is looses it shape very quick. Several friends of mine frequent this store on their trips as well and have had issues with quality and the level of customer service offered after purchasing. I contacted the store to let them know and they said they had "no record of the purchases" and therefore were not able to offer any any apology or discount to repurchase the item. read more

Rude staff. Don't bother shopping here. Much better stores elsewhere. Employees are quick to jump on customers for shop lifting when they leave the store after trying things in in their fitting rooms. Avoid this store. Cinnamon Girl and Mahina in the King Shops has excellent products and staff. If was nice to be be welcomed and serviced by such lovely ladies after the rude gang like staff at Persimmons. I have been shopping at Persimmon for the past five years and have always had a great experience. All the gals are so friendly and they make you feel very welcome. I get so many compliments on the clothes and jewelry I buy there. One of a kind and high quality. They can also have clothes altered for you at a reasonable price. I live in CA and follow them on Facebook and Instagram. When I see something I'm interested in, they respond to me quickly. Buying from CA is very easy and they don't charge for shipping! Cute boutique! The price range is medium to low, & they have some pricey denim. They have a random assortment of things, which is fun. This place is my kryptonite! Every time I make the trek to Kona side, I try my best to stop into this boutique. The store offers up so much unique and stylish clothing and jewelry. Though the prices can be quite high, the novelty of the pieces get me every time. Especially the jewelry!! These girls have acquired such an amazing selection of locally crafted jewelry. From statement pieces, to more subdued staples, there will always a pendant or ring that catches my attention. Last but not least, the sales girls are wonderful. They are all extremely sweet, welcoming and helpful. Boutiques often have salesgirls who clearly do not want to be working, let alone, helping you get in and out of the fitting room. But persimmon has a team with great fashion sense and personality, which only makes shopping there that much more dangerous! read more

Very cute items in this shop from jewelry to clothing. Relatively high prices prevent you from shopping til you drop, but some items are reasonable. Bought some cute sandals here and had my eye on a few clothing pieces. Staff was friendly, and it was nice that they offered a kamaaina discount. Persimmon was started by two gals who wanted to bring big fashion at non-resort prices to the Big Island - and we are all grateful that they did! Originally, they opened in a cute retail space in Hawi - located at the northern tip of the island, next to a great sushi restaurant, Sushi Rock. That store is now their "outlet" store, and there are some fantastic bargains to be found! In the "flagship" store at the Queen's Shops, you will find the latest designers (mostly out of LA) and accessories that are showcased in magazines like InStyle. This is not your tutu's clothing store!! Their stock changes constantly, so if you like something, buy it as it may not be available the next time you stop in. definitely an awesome women's boutique. granted, i don't shop for women's clothing ever, this shop provides very much your non-standard "typical hawaiian" garb found at most resort-shops or frankly shops on this island. this is very much something of the boutique styled store that we see back home in SF, or when visiting NY etc etc, just the small shop feel that has very well designed, fashionable clothes for women. read more

I LOVE Persimmon. I am originally from San Francisco and its the only place I have found on the Big Island that has such a wide variety of cute clothes, accessories and gifts! This is not the "typical" Hawaiian store as far as clothing selection goes. I can shop here and get items from hot designers. I recently found out that there is an outlet store in Hawi! I went there the other day and its definitely worth the trip...everything is 50-60% off every day. Anyone who is looking for that "Cute outfit" must come to this store! read more
